<Carlarth> "Then all of this is just an accident?" the woman sighed and returned to hear seat. "So what would you have of me Tempestus?" <Chaplain> "And what about 10 innocent children, or a hundred? Is there a line where duty becomes something else or is that irrelevant and it will always come before honor?" Chaplain asked again, not moving by an inch. <Commissar Strauss> "Revenge on its own is a good enough reason for me," Strauss nodded, "But I'm not sure if my Lord would agree. In any case, we require as many helpful hands as possible so better make yourself useful. Report to Techmarine Angelous of Blood Ravens inside of our new workshop. Dismissed," being stern as (almost) any Commissar out there, Otto Strauss gave a brisk salute and went towards the barracks and the following drilling exercises. OOC sent you all mech guys in one place so you could get to know each other <Jannika> "Find happiness in small things, aye?" the Captain smiled at Feron, "Believe it or not, my old Lord told me that same thing, or a similar at least." Raising her eyebrows and acting a facial expression of some angry person, she spoke in deep voice, obviously trying to mimic some old situation she was in. "Now you listen there girl. You feeling gloomy? Well then, that's your own damn problem but if it affects your performance then it becomes my damn problem, and you wouldn't want that. So, get your crap together, push and don't look back. If you think this is bad, you have no idea what's coming next. Bull's will and iron fortitude, that's what it takes. Now keep on pushing and don't let me see you like that ever again!" Returning to her "normal self", Jannika sighed. "Poor old Molly was right, it did get worse...but I apologize Feron, you spoke about the attack on your homeworld, yes? I must say, I only heard something about it, that you were attacked by some heretics and whatnot. I guess it must've been hard for you to see your friends die? It's just that...I am void-born and I have no planet to call my home at all..."
Ranger barely nodded to Commissar`s brisk salute as he walked away. With his Long Las over one of his shoulders,Melgator pushed through the crowd, sometimes stopping randoms to ask for directions, and sometimes he was doing it so wrong that the grabbed one would get terrified or yelp in pain. Finding the Workshop,Zeth came to its arched entrance, the entrance so big that a Rhino could pass beneath it without a problem. As soon as he came closer, his HUD warned him of increased rad levels.Instinctively drawing his las-pistol,an instinct born of imperative protocol,Zeth studied the rad levels.Lethal, very much so to any fleshlings that came too close to its source.Though his data was lacking on Astartes forgings and the power sources of their forges,Zeth went it prepared, better safe then sorry.That...and to go against protocol is foolish. One side of the door frame against his backs,Zeth calibrated the targeting protocols as he swung around the corner one hundred and eighty into the Workshop, his weapon primed and ready. What he found inside, amazed him. From the targeting protocols and hasty results from profilization,Zeth concurred that what stood before him was a Skitarius his backs turned to him....a Vanguard and an Alpha at that.A Skitarius that was way beyond the Crux Mechanicus, getting himself rid of the failing flesh even more then other, regular Skitarii.Cloaked in radiation like a firmament of static, toxic to all fleshlings,Vanguard stood there, obviously in engagement with a Techmarine who bore obvious sigils of Blood Ravens, victors of Aurelian Crusades and saviors of an entire sub-sector from the darkness from the within.Their current Chapter Master is blessed quite a bit. Quickly holstering his las-pistol at the holster on his leg,Zeth walked in already feeling the toxic pull of radiation, and in the middle of it,at the eye of the lethal whirlwind was the Vanguard. His attire was that of Stygies VIII,a Forge World suspected and prosecuted many times in history by the Priesthood of tech-heresy.Though...such dealings were above and beyond mere Skitarius as was Zeth,he was there to serve and provide elimination of chosen enemies. Zeth came next to the Vanguard Alpha, trying to stop any digi-codes but none were visible.Standing next to so toxic a Vanguard was a test of Zeth`s endurance and faith,as radiation emmited from Vanguard tested his loyalty and faith. For to succumb to the blessed breath of the Red Planet would mean certain death. With his cowl over his head, only his death-mask visible,Zeth spoke, the machine talk monotone as ever. "I am Melgator Zeth,Skitarius Ranger of 12th macroclade of the 1st Skitarii Legion of the thrice-blessed Mars."-very uttering of the name of the blessed Forge World, sent shivers down Zeth`s spine. "Techmarine Angelous of Blood Ravens,Commissar Strauss sent me here to you, noble Astrotechnicus,to serve you as i served my masters before and through you,Machine God."spoke Zeth reverently for he knew that Techmarines are men of dual loyalties, pledged by blood to their Chapter, but bound in mind and spirit to the mysteries of the Cult Mechanicus`s Omnissiah. They are Enginseer made Astartes.Holy union of blessed Machine and divine blood of the Omnissiah that flows through all Astartes - Frater Astrotechnicus.
<Feron> "Always hurts to see a Brother go, hurts more seeing them go on your own soil, where you think your the closest to invincible. Yet, it is something you learn to accept, march ever forward bolter at the ready. For what is our main purpose if not to wage war and die in the Emperor's name? " Shaking his head Feron lowers his bolt pistol noting to slip another round in later. "I suppose each ship becomes a different kind of home then? Or do they become more like comrades? Never easy watching them go either way. "
"I just had to be sure you were not a warp entity trying to trick me again" as he spoke he let out a sigh "you still have so much mental power though"
-Volorox "Quite interesting on who we find and bring in to our little group Aye Gaius." Volorox said before looking to the new salamander. "So Temero how did you end up on this hulk in imprisoned by the orks?" Volorox asked As he sat down in a chair. "Quite good to see another sister among us we had another sister of battle with us earlier as well She helped us in battle many times, Have you seen her? Her name was sister Jean." Volorox said looking to the sister.
<Amraphel> Amraphel stared at his captor with cold contempt in his eyes; this so called 'shadow master' truly was a depraved degenerate, true to his legions reputation. Finally he started speaking with an icy voice:"Well, you want to know details, so you shall have details. You want to know what I did and what caused my exile? Fine, you shall know it. I wasn't just expelled over some minor disagreement or because I broke some idiotic rules , written down in that most useless of codices, no, what I did far exceeds all that. I was party to treachery, betrayal and the deaths of worlds, I took part in attacking those who I had once called brethren, I was complicit to heresy of the highest level, well some might see it that way but I'd rather like to think that I was just at the wrong place at the wrong time, but those wo wish me dead care little for such differences. I did not even take part in the betrayal itself, I was unwilling to aid the main betrayers but at the same time I didn't want to attack them, for how could I, they were still and will always be my brothers. As I already mentioned this matters little to those who want me dead and I have been on the run for quite a long time, for I don't want to end up in their custody." Having said all this, Amraphel stopped talking and eyed the 'shadow master', hoping the reply would placate the somewhat moody man. After a few seconds of silence, he started talking aggain: "Well, I hope this reply is more satisfactory than the last one I gave, but for the sake of fairness let me ask you a small quesion in return, if you so permitt. What do you actually hope to gain with all this Information? You aren't a follower of Tzeentch, excuse my bluntness, but usually followers off the prince of pleasure don't show such a high degree of curiosity." Amraphel waited for the captor's reply, hoping the man wouldn't have another of his moodswings and refrain from any further physical abuse.
Temvero's eyes glazed over as he thought. "Brother... I can tell you what happened before I found myself on this Hulk, Although I do not wish to, not yet. But, as for how I came upon this place, and how the Orks captured me... No. I cannot. It's all... Just a blur. Nothing coherent, no matter how much I think..." He shook his head.
Ixtab did not respond to him. Not in Gothic, not in binary, and not through internal vox communications. Instead he sent a stream of data highlighting his condition. The first to come through were the major points. His command bionic eye was completely destroyed, but that was apparent just from looking at him as shards of the lenses still remained on the outer rim of the implant. It also noted that multiple bionic organs were severely damaged, especially his internal Vox caster, not allowing him any speech for the moment. Then like a burst of gun fire, dozens of smaller damage reports were reported. Anything from rusted fingers to cracked frames to internal damage done to the flesh. It was a testament to how resilient the Skitarii Vanguard are. Then again, all sons clad in the armor of the Omnissiah were comparable to him. Ixtab looked at Zeth and nodded his head. With the little information Zeth had provided, he already knew more about him then probably any other on the ship. The fact that he can travel alone spoke about his privileges and personality. Not many other Skitarii can talk as freely.
<Workshop - Angelous, @High_Adept_Zeth , @Xaphen , @Casavay > OOC I will wait for @Uriel1339 to drop by and resume his role as our friendly Techmarine <Jannika - @DeranVendar > "Something like that...Hera and me worked well back on "Angelfall", but still it was a good choice to sink it and I'm not feeling overly sad for it. Simply, ships might be comrades as you put it, but they are still here to serve us and it's better not to get overly attached. Ships get destroyed, people die, and the only one who prospers is the one who survives, eh?" smiling, Jannika fired another blast at the targets, quite precise in fact as two more targets got melted. "Now I got a question for you Feron. I saw Marmy promoting you to his second in command, how do you feel about that? I mean, he may sometimes look friendly and all, but he's not an easy person to impress, especially given the circumstances. I thought he would chose Tempestus or even Serious, but he placed his trust in you. I'm not sure if you realize, but I think he believes you should be the one to continue his legacy in case he meets his end during this plight...Not to put pressure on your shoulders but still, I find it interesting...and in my opinion, he made a good choice." <Canteen - Gaius, @Uriel1339 @Vulpas @BadDo9 > "Wait a second brother," Gaius turned his attention back on the newcomer, "What do you mean you don't want to speak about it? It's not like it's not at all suspicious that a lost Salamander Marine showed his face around here just when we ended up in a situation like this, claiming he is a-okey but keeping it to himself. You gotta understand Temvero," Howling Griffon's hand was placed on the bolter which found place on his lap, "We are dealing with quite an enemy mastermind here, an organization famed for throwing various shady individuals at us all the time. Perhaps you convinced Feron, but you still haven't convinced the rest of us. Now please, the truth, if you will," former Apothecary nodded at Salamander, but it didn't sound as a question, more like a request.
Temvero let out a deep sigh. "It is difficult to speak of, Brother Gaius. Me and my squad, we were sent to a planet that had been defiled by Nurgle. A daemon named Potox. During our sojourn down in his flesh tunnels saw me lose one Brother, with us losing another and our Sergeant during our escape. Later, we had no choice but to board a Chaos Strike Crusier. I destroyed it, but the rest of my Brothers... Died." "In the end it made a warp jump, but I was protected by the souls of my Brothers. I carry them with me until I can rebuild the Hearts of Flame, my squad. After that, like I said, It is a blur. I apologize." He sat in silence, head held low.
