As the ramp came down,throng of refuges,guardsmen and generally rabble stormed out led by Edd and Rocky.Zeth stayed behind for the moment,waiting for his targeting reticules in his blessed eyes to collect as much information as they can.Charging up the Long-Las,Zeth sighted down the rifle as he heard the resonating humm in the rifle`s firing chamber. Datagheists returned much information,but Ranger didnt had much chance to siphon all of them before he fired,standing at the dropship`s ramp,aiming down for a headshot despite the 'critically less then optimal' battlefield conditions. Target was almost inviolable with his scavenged weapon.Mega-Nobs...crude...but thick armor nonetheless and their leader.Rate of fire and accuracy will have to do where the power-yield of the Long Las wont.And so Zeth discharged one after another red thin beam across the conflicted zone,a small priming prayer uttered beneath his breath,as he tried to synchronize himself with the crude weapon`s machine spirit.He missed his old weapon... One last information that returned to his data-banks surprised him more then he thought it will. Immediately few special icons flickered into digi-existence on his HUD as his heightened sensori picked up among all the clatter and firefight, a familiar,thought almost forgotten,silhouette. An Angel of Death...
<Amraphel> Amraphel quickly recovered from the shock of crashing down from the catwalk and with one swift movement, he drew his mace. As the Mega Nob, charged him so did Amraphel start running. The combattants stood right in front of each other, ready for the slaughter to begin. The Ork was the first to attack, swinging with both his deadly power claws held close to eachother, but luckily, Amraphel managed to reach downwards and powerful energies crackled as both power fields met each other. The block resulting in both the Ork and him pushing forward their weapons with brute strenght, something Amraphel couldn't win. But did he even need to? For while both the Orks weapons were locked in the duel of strenght, he fired his plasma pistol at point blank range, aiming for the Orks head and at the same time, also releasing a deadly torrent of ignited promethium with his wrist mounted flamer.
tempestus ramed his tallon through the nobs head as he stagerd back into the fight but felt the pain of the bulets still as he turned to this new nob, he puled the chopper from his other arm and threw it at the ork
OOC just so you guys know, you are not fighting the same group as Feron, Amraphel, Tempestus and Volorox are, sorry if I didn't make it more clearer (the last post I made lacked <Hangar> part not because I forgot it or linked both groups, but because I was sleepy and wasn't able to write it down (will do it a bit later)). So, for clarification: Boss fight (random corridor): - Amraphel, Feron, Temepstus, Volorox Hangar fight (where everyone else save Draconion is), defending the beachhead etc: - Edd, Rocky, Sigismund, Zeth, Sirius, Fenix (about to land), Marmaroth, Jannika, Strauss, Urian's new girl, etc...
Volorox- Volorox felt several rounds bury them self into his legs he let out a curse and quickly rolled into cover he quickly wen't to his belt and looked at his remaining equipment still had his grenades and his two special clips he smiled knowing this. slightly as he began taking shots at the ork mega nob. he needed to get close. He began to fire and run from cover to cover until he was out of view and the he began sneaking about.
Sigismund could already hear the sounds of battle coming from beyond the door, greenskin howls, lasgun cracks and the staccato blasts of a bolt pistol. As soon as the ramp was lowered, he rushed down and across the hanger to where the barricades stood. There one could see Sirius, Jannika and a sister of battle he did not recognize. For now it seemed that the orks had been driven back, burned and charred corpses seemed to indicate the new arrival's work. As Rocky was the leader, he would talk to Sirius and give him the sit-rep, Sigismund merely made for the barricade to help reinforce it.
<Hangar: Marmaroth, Sirius, Edd, Rocky, Sigismund, Fenix, Zeth, Jannika, Strauss, etc> Last ship that arrived was cargo ship ferrying Bounty Hunter and her new "crew", right behind Chaplain's own Stormbird "Chalice of Agony", which Gaius flied masterfully into the tight space. They came just in time to watch as the Imperials got their much needed reinforcements, somewhat evening the odds, helped much by the sudden attack of the unknown Sister of Battle. Commissar Strauss although kept his cool, ordering his men to form up and gather around Sirius, who was being supported by their Captain, girl using twin Inferno pistols to dissuade the aliens from even reaching her. However, what tipped the battle in their favor wasn't the unknown helper, or the incoming Penal Legionnaires, (OOC watch as one of those bad GM moments unfolds ) no, it was something else. Like a thunder out of a clear sky, an apparition that looked as if made of pure golden light struck the Ork line, burning some of them to crisp while literally tearing other apart. The sudden attack completely stunned the aliens, which now caught between the hammer and the anvil lost any semblance of order and tried to run and save their lives, but most of them failed miserably while being shot in the back by the organized effort of the Team and their forces. As the last Ork in the hangar died, they saw the enlightened figure amidst a heap of dead bodies, his aristocratic face covered in Greenskin blood. His hair was long and blond, falling on the muscled shoulders that extended into strong arms, at the moment deep in Ork viscera. The man was almost naked, his body scarred in countless places, a testimony to his age and origin. Every soldier there was (OOC except for the player's chars, your choice in that) found it hard to look at this man, as if his very presence burned your eyes, similar effect like when you watch at the sun with your naked eye. As it subsided a bit, the man approached Sirius, the fanged smile familiar to the Apothecary. "I think you have something of mine," Marmaroth spoke, before turning to address Sister. "I saw your spark burning brightly, Sister and Steward of Him on Terra, and I came looking for it, for I know the flame when I see one. Welcome back, Canoness Brandt." <Boss fight: Feron, Tempestus, Volorox, Amraphel> Tempestus tossed the dead Ork aside and focused his effort on killing the other one, which staggered back after being hit, just enough time for Volorox to move in and score the killing blow. Two warriors worked in unison, Mega Nobz not standing a chance. Amraphel's shot connected with the Nobz head, killing him almost on the spot, the Ork managing to skewer Amraphel's torso with one of the claws, now finally and completely destroying his armor. He fell on his knees, just in time to see Dorallius and Angelous emerging from one of the corridor entrances, pouring fire into the Orks, Angelous particularly aiming at the Warboss and taking off chunks of his flesh when being hit by modified bolt rounds. This also made Feron's job a lot easier as the Salamander ducked under yet another wild claw swipe and opened Warboss's head, feeding him the flames a second later. Beast trashed as it swallowed prometheum, it burning its not so resilient inner organs. Like a true Nocturnian, Feron dealt with the alien in fashion customary to one of his kind, burning the enemy alive. The death of the alien Warboss made the remaining Nobz lose their focus, allowing for the rest to quickly dispatch them, leaving them in the middle of the corridor all alone, finally rid of enemies to slay. (OOC sorry for me speeding it up a bit, but I already went past two of my imaginary deadlines with this mission which was only supposed to be a short one )
