<Planet + Space Hulk> Orks fell beneath his blade, Steinar finally doing what he does best. While he massacred those that remained behind, he saw more of the aliens traversing the mountain slope and towards his location, quite enough to keep him busy. "Lord Steinar, we are retreating. I repeat, we are retreating," a voice of cargo ship's pilot patched through to him, "Please, I need you to come towards us for extraction or you risk being stranded here!" OOC @PorOborosCain depending on Urian's reply, you can safely emote either picking Steinar up or leaving him there and proceeding to higher orbit and towards the Hulk. As the cargo ship landed in the middle of the forest near the convoy, every living being (including Edd's new pet) was loaded into the vessel, despite what Sigismund suggested earlier. Stormtrooper Sergeant didn't comment on that, for he knew that path to redemption was a path that each man had to walk alone and face whatever he finds there, especially when serving under a man such was their Watch Commander. On the other hand, a Ratling that he heard was a deserter now showed himself to be quite capable officer, perhaps one of the best they had at this moment, which just further proved that you should never judge a man by his origin or appearance. Once they loaded up, they also headed for the orbit and towards their next goal. Inside of the craft they met Sitri next to their Land Raider, assessing damage done on the relic vehicle. Side mounted guns were nowhere to be seen, however other than that, it looked like the tank was in somewhat good shape, which sadly couldn't be said for Sister Jean, who even now was locked into a stasis capsule which worked to preserve her life functions. She was missing parts of her helmet, exposing the bone beneath as well as multiple wounds all across her form. The girl was alive, but barely and was in dire need of proper medical care. "Fine, we'll do it your way!" Gaius commented as the surviving penal troopers entered the Stormbird while Dorallius and Angelous remained behind, waiting for @lord-watchman Tempestus's "stunt". OOC Feel free to open that portal and reach the hulk, I'm cool with that. OOC also, everyone feel free to emote your next post as going through the stars (watching the world burn below ) and eventually reaching the Space Hulk in the same hangar like the others, so you can meet up etc. <Angelfall + Space Hulk> What supplies they gathered were loaded into the last remaining cargo ship - food, clothing, medical supplies, ammo, few pieces of weaponry, pieces of gear every Team member left behind including Marmaroth's armory alongside a number of his trophies, Sirius's work, nanolathe (on Draconion's request) and pieces of machinery prepared by Angelous for situations like this. Of course, besides all these things the remaining humans alongside Sirius who tended to unconscious Chaplain, removing his armor and cleaning his numerous wounds (man lacerations, evisceration, burn marks and so on - what was perhaps interesting is that he still kept all of his limbs intact, despite his skin being covered in scars, keeping up with the tradition of him surviving through) embarked and followed in Feron's wake. As for Feron, him, Amraphel and Icelos got out of Ork flyer and secured the hangar, which was actually empty, meaning that most of the Orks were either on the ground or looting the "Angelfall", which made their work easier. However, in order to secure the place for themselves, they still had to deal with Ork leadership, which Salamander knew exactly where to find (because of the knowledge he gained earlier on via cannibalism, the feat that apparently became custom around the warriors of this Team). Greenskin leading this warband was only couple of hangars away, perhaps preparing himself and doing his stuff before heading out and taking the planet for his own. OOC @DeranVendar okey, you can either wait for the others or head out on your own towards the Ork leader. <Shadow of Angelfall> Mek began shaking violently as his thoughts were snatched away, replaced by simply impulses, controlled by the new puppet master. Lesser Meks, seeing what happened to their leader, ran away in fear, not wanting to suffer the same faith, leaving Draconion to do his own thing, undisturbed and all alone, alongside his new "friend".
"all depends" as he spoke he punched his tallon into the air "if i can find something to latch onto" as he spoke he laughed "and i found something to do so" with that warp energy spiraled out of his tallon and a portal formed "move now or it will close brother" as he spoke he remained still and looked at Volorox and then punched his other tallon foward to spread the portal tall enough for him as well @Vulpas
<Steinar Greywold> "The Wolves of Fenris never are stranded. I ensure your safe escape, but my time has come to prove what I am worth." And with that the Vox line was cut and the man continued to strike Ork after Ork, fighting with ferocity and intelligence as he did not parry the enemy blows but merely avoided with side-steps and then driving his blade into their guts and skulls. They wanted a fight, here was a capable warrior! He would prove to himself, Fenris and all of his ancestors that he was a Warrior, and he shall have a death in bravery and combat, not while running away! <Apothecary> Without wasting words he tended to Marmaroth with his centuries of experience. His hands moved as fast and trained as one could expect, each being accurate and perfect. Constantly taking various wound cleansers, cooling sprays, needle and string, stimulants, etc. And apply them to the individual wounds. Before even arriving at the Space Hulk, he did all he could and left the man to rest, from the saved weapons he took Marmaroths Plasma Pistol. Now that the ruined Terminator Armor was removed, the Son of Guilliman could hold the Chaplain with one hand and fire with the other, ensuring his safety, for that was his duty.
<Feron> "We can't afford to stay in one spot right now, risk attracting attention toward those following in our wake. Come Brother's lets go make some noise. " They weren't exactly in the best position to be dealing with a warboss ,he knew Amraphel had only just received care for a number of critical wounds, Icelos seemed decent enough but no less weary and he himself couldn't rely on his armor to take many more hits for him. With a flamer in hand he pointed on toward a hallway and waved for the pair to join him. "Eyes sharp for any alternative passages, the enemy warlord will be gearing up for departure, we need to put him down here lest he returns upon hearing what's happening to his hulk with enough boyz to stomp us flat. " Opening up the vox to everyone in range he carries on. "With Marmaroth still out of commission I'll need my own second in command. Our Head Apothecary shall be acting as such for the duration of our maneuvers in space. Draconion update on the Angelfall? Any mind thralls yet? "
<Anraphel> Amraphel carefully exited the stolen ork flyer mindfull of his wounds. After exiting he held both his plasma pistols high and kept his guard up, but to his surprise the hangar seemed to be empty. The bandages arround his wounds were amatuerishly applied and they wouldn't hold for long, but Amraphel had trust in his body, implanted with arcane gene sience, wrought millenia ago in loboratories long abandoned and hoped that the wound would atleast partially close, regenaration boosted by Astartes physique. When looking at Feron he saw that the Salamander had also seen better days. In this state they were no match for an Ork Warboss, at least not in a fair fight. Losing no time, Amraphel swiftly turned to Feron and adressed the acting commander: "Brother Feron, we are in no shape to take the Greenskin leader head on and as you surely know yourself, the beast will probably be guarded by it's best warriors. Therefore I propose that, to even the odds, we should lay an ambush in one of the corridors the beast will walk through. The element of surprise would be on our side and we could even improvise some kind of explosive, we just have to be creative and use our surroudings to our advantage. I advise you to find a dark corridor with good hiding spots and begin preparations immediately. I just hope you consider this, commander."
<Feron> @DeathKorpsOfKrieg "I hear you loud and clear Brother, based off what I gleamed earlier he is already in another hangar preparing to disembark. If we want to get him in a confined space we'll have to lure him here. I want you and Icelos to prep such a trap as it were, I'll handle luring him here. " Tossing the robed warrior a single flamer fuel tank there was an apparent grin in his voice, a tinge of that Orkish after touch. "I think you can come up with an idea or two on how to make them dance yes? " With only three blinds, a fully loaded flamer, shotgun and his bolter this would prove interesting.
-Volorox Volorox wen't first into the portal as the others came behind him with the ancient as he wen't through the portal he could see the world and hear the screams around him the orks the energy they were putting through the warp he could see it through the tunnel he heard screams of pain and death as he saw the world itself being lit to flame and seeing the ships burn in the sky he thought he saw his brothers falling to death the guardsmen he was fighting with falling to death. He kept going on trying to fight through and stop watching the warp but he continued until he was on the other side until a final scream caused him to fall out of the portal and back into real space. He fell into darkness his eyes searching frantically to where he was as tried to get back up he heard the groaning of metal and soon lost his footing as he fell through more of the ship. He felt him self land several times before falling again into the darkness his trip ending with him landing in a pile of what felt to be scrap. he layed there a moment in pain as his visor began resetting itself as he began attempting to work around. "Oy what was that." Was the first thing he heard as he could hear foot steps approaching. He began to get up faster and quickly concealed him self in a pile of junk. "Oy I thought I heard something." A ork mek said as it came into a dark room. " Alright ya gits start gettin the shiny bits togther so we can get some more dakka ready for those humie gits, The boss also wants those flash gitz ready when we reach the humie planet." The ork mek said as it sen't several Gretchin and orks out into the scrap pit. Volorox Kept his Power halberd ready as he waited for the others in the dark. Wait for the others then strike Don't know how many around the corner. He thought to himself his mind remembering Armageddon war. He then pressed his helmet sending out a signal to all space marines on a private channel trying to see if anyone was still alive. OOC I don't know what a Gates of infinity would be like like on the inside but I see it as much as a invisible wall between you and the warp is this correct?
OOC: Theoretically it is like a Webway, yes. So you just walk through the warp while being safely shielded from it.
<Amraphel> "It will make do", Amraphel said as s smile crossed his lips. "Maybe I'll also add a frag grenade for extra spice, yes brother, I shall create an illustrious present, worthy of an Ork warboss." Quickly he turned over to Icelos @Xaphen ( if Xaphen still is on vacation I'll just automatically asume he comes with my char) and adressed the Son of Corax:"Follow me please, I shall find the perfect place, well suited for the execution of what we have planned. " Amraphel turned back to Feron:"Commander, me and Icelos will be on our way, searching for a suitable ambush site. I'll use the vox to inform you of it's whereabouts. Safe travels!" That being said Anraphel turned and left for the maze of corridors that extended away from the hangar. 14 minutes and 43 seconds later... After a short search, Amraphels trained eye had spotted a perfect ambush site. A narrow corridor with a high ceilling. The lighting seemed to have failed long ago and darkness completely shrouded the room. Two meters above ground level, a metal catwalk ran paralel to the ground, a perfect place to shoot from and a broad ladder connected the catwalk and the ground level. Amraphel opened a private vox link to Feron and spoke:"Commander, we have found the perfect ambush site, transmitting location and the layout now. If you manage to lure the warboss towards brother Icelos and myself, we will be ready to give it a warm reception. Amraphel out." After the message had been transmitted Amraphel opened a small hatch in the ground, which covered a pipe filled with explosive coolant liquid. Carefully he placed the promethium container next to the pipe, increasing the potential explosion's power exponentially. The last thing he added was the last frag grenade in his possesion, hoping this too would add to the deadly potential of this delicate mix. Once done with this, he closed the hatch, but not entirely, leaving a small slit through which a precise shot could be fired and thereby triggering this carefully layed out trap. The deed done, Amraphel climbed the catwalk and bade Icelos to follow him. They would hide behind a junction, just where the corridor went arround a corner and only reveal themselves once Feron had managed to lure the Orks here, just where they needed to be. "This better works or we are all ###*%^># ", Amraphel silently whispered to himself and held his clenched fist to his chest, a salute from a age long past.
"leave the grots they wont be able to do much" as he spoke he made a rumbling voice towards the grots but in a language unknown to his brother and then set warp flames over parts of the horde of scrap "take the mek out and il deal with something else" as he spoke he sent a shock wave at another pile to draw the mek in
