<Sirius Jules> "I fear she is resting, even declared 24 hour rest with the wish to be not awakened. As for myself. It is less sleep and more a problem in my... Research. Mixed with various concerns, given that the Codex Astartes disapproves with half of our current assets and organization." The Apothecary replied honest, while his Bionic eye was scanning the weapon case he held and seeing if his X-Ray for his medical purposes could penetrate it to see the actual content.
-Volorox As Volorox received the Bionic eye in his quarters he took out a small pad that would help him transfer the data from Tempatus Bionic eye to his. "Hmmmm Might be best to Get our tech marine to help me with this." he said to himself before he acted. He took the eye and then began moving towards where his best bet the tech marine would be the hanger likely with the land raider they had taken on there mission.
<Feron> It wasn't anything fancy or even really intended to do more than carry the piece of equipment, Sirius could see the Inferno Pistol easily enough. "Oh? Suppose I'll have to get this to her another time then, poor gal must be out like a light after that last engagement and our retreat. " Feron had to stop a moment to keep from commenting on the Son's rigid adherence to the codex, not being a son in name or metaphorically himself he had learned long ago not to think so little of their dedication or see it quite so much as a ridiculous obsession, more so very much apart of their identity and being. "Care to elaborate on this research? I'm no Apothecary but I might have some insight locked up in my mind that could be of use. "
<Sirius Jules> "Research aid is appreciated. Although I tell you right now that many before me tried to solve this issue. And each of them died either during gathering ingredients or killed themselves because they couldn't take it anymore. Serfs. Apothecaries. Ordo Hospitallers. Chirurgeons. But if you want to trouble yourself with such danger. Sure, why not." Sirius shrugged slightly. "Though I guess you would be more interested into the story of how I actually got here? I am even surprised of how I did not get asked yet how our dear Chaplain-Commander was before his rebirth." It was obvious he was insinuating something, but what? Either way, he marched off to his research laboratory, expecting the Salamander to follow.
"I thank you for this opportunity, I shall not disappoint" Putting on the robe he took the ancient blade in his hands and gave it a few experimental swings. Very well balanced and wreathed in a flickering blue field, this blade was truly a work of art. Kneeling before the shrine Sigismund began his watch in prayer to the God Emperor. Partly for forgiveness, partly for vengeance against those who had used him.
OOC since I'll be going out of the city tomorrow, this is my attempt at pushing a briefing I apologize in advance for the lack of a proper post (which eventually became just that lol). Volorox found the Techmarine in one of the corridors, marching for the Bridge. "Come with me, the Chaplain has summoned everyone to meet him. He has some news," was all Angelous said before he continued with his march, nodding for Volorox to follow. Across the "Angelfall", every member of the Team received the same message - the Chaplain was calling for them. Mission #5 Briefing: Once they all came there, they saw the Flesh Tearer waiting, speaking to Lord Commissar Strauss about something. The last one to arrive was their Captain, who looked as if she just woke up from a deep slumber. Waving absently to Feron, Jannika took her seat at the command throne and clicked some digits, as if to make sure what she heard was right. "Now that you are all here, we can begin," Marmaroth said as he opened the map on the Strategy table, the hololit flickering in color. "As you all know, we haven't yet made a stop in the Materium since our flight from Knosos system. The ship is in need of repairs and supplies, and I went through couple of options that were at hand. However, there was one turn in events that required my attention. Couple of hours ago, we received an urgent message from a nearby system, a call for help. The planet is named Niona and currently is under Greenskin attack. I know what you think, this shouldn't be our concern since we got bigger problems at hand. But I would disagree. It is a less known fact that out here in Segmentum Obscurus, thousands of worlds have lost their contact with the Imperium. Without getting into detail why that happened exactly, I can say with certainty that some of those people are left to fend for themselves which means that if we are in position to provide any kind of assistance, we shall do so no matter what." "We have managed to reach the system and establish contact. Thankfully, another friendly force has already reached the place however they are lacking in both numbers, equipment...and other things. 655th Penal Legion, two of their ships are currently embattled with Orkish force consisted of 5 vessels as well as fighting a ground war alongside PDF. I notified them of our arrival so there is no turning back now. It was also apparent that the news about our current status has yet to reach them, so we won't have to fight them." "As for the planet, the records show that this is a Forest World, it's population around 5 million people. A frontier world, like any other. They pay their taxes in wood, skins, ore and fuel, which in crystallized form can be found below the ground. This means with some luck, we can get our supplies there and hopefully, do some repairs to our ship. Orks are pushing through the planet and towards important settlements, so my idea was to spread our force and destroy the Greenskin advance by deploying at those key positions and denying them the ground. After enough of them have died and they realized who they are up against, their leader should come forth and allow us to quickly deal with their force. We are still waiting for the exact layout of the ground so the disposition of our force will have to be done a little bit later, but before that, I have another important thing to say." "On number of occasions was I reminded of a certain fact that our current force organization is somewhat lacking. Therefore, there are some changes that are in place. First of all, I want to name Brother Feron as my second in command. He has already proven himself to be a valiant leader, well respected by both his comrades and the men under his command. This means that if I'm not there, he'll be in charge of things from now on. Brother Sirius remains our Chief Apothecary as well as Brother Angelous who remains our Master of Armory. Since we have two powerful Librarians here, I was reluctant to name any of them before the other and I'll keep it like that, since both Brothers Tempestus and Draconion are masters in their own right, they will continue to serve as my closest advisors. The spot of the Champion is open, since Kajar will now be more focused on flying the Stormbird or defending the ship, and we need some on the ground to act like one, if the situation requires. If the choice doesn't become obvious by the end of the mission, I'll think of something else. For all matters faith, those are still my responsibilities." "Questions?" OOC @DeranVendar If you don't want to be in charge mate, feel free to tell me and I'll think of something else. As for deployment, Feron will do it right after we break into Realspace and get the info we need, which will happen with my next post Player reminder: @DeranVendar @Draconion @PorOborosCain @Shadhunter @DaKaptin @DeathKorpsOfKrieg @Grall_Stonefist @Xaphen @Vulpas @lord-watchman @Loldoom @Uriel1339
OOC: I take it as offense that my name is not on the list..... <Steinar Greywold> The Space Wolf denied the call and remained in his room. <Sirius Jules> "I demand to be fielded. IF we lose an Astartes, we cannot let the Gene-Seed be lost." He crossed his arms. The reason was obvious. He didn't want the gene-seed to be lost to the 'Inquisition'. Especially if they were talking about the Unholy Alliance. Who knows if they had Astartes of their own and could even harvest memories from their brains and such. He would ensure that none would die, neither would he let their bodies stay behind.
<Amraphel at the Briefing> "Unless there is something more about this world than you tell us Marmaroth, I frankly think that it is a waste of our time", Amraphel said with a plain voice. "Shouldn't we rather follow our primary mission and not distract ourselves with helping some frontier world without any strategic importance whatsoever? Well, I am sorry if I speak to frankly for anyones liking",of course Amraphel wasn't sorry at all,"but we already got enough work ahead and this ship needs repairs and supplies. And furthermore, what if the local forces have been informed of our so called 'treachery' and lead the elements in the inquistion, that seek to destroy us towards the planet. I might also add that the planets repair facilities will surely be insufficient for a ship of the Angelsfalls size. Well...., I know I probably won't be able to change your opinion, but if we do this we should take heed of certain things. First Thing is that we should conclude this mission as fast as possible, percise strikes, maybe attempt to kill the orks warboss and render them ineffective. Secondly we shouldn't use our stormtrooper contingents and tanks, they will slow us up and they have taken a beating in the last battle and will need more time to recover. The last thing is that this ship is already damaged and dry on ammunition, so we should stay out of space combat, and only engage enemy spacecraft via boarding actions, launched from afar using torpedoes or Shuttles. This is all I have to say", said Amraphel hoping the chaplain would at least consider his advise.
<Volorox the briefing> Volorox heard the briefing in Amraphels suggestion "I agree with Amraphel Even if they haven't heard about our status if word reach's them in the middle of battle things can get hairy. If we can I would also suggest we try to *Requsition* some supply that won't be missed if we can. Since this is a penal legion I would expect the guardsmen with them may be less then honorable. And with what gear we have on us now they may wan't to see it Go *missing* Volorox said closing his arms What information do we have on this particular penal legion?: Volorox asked
