    <Steinar "NOT SO EASY, PUB!" Greywold>

    Steinar remained on the floor and fiddled around with his gear, but his eyes remain on the charging enemy. His left cheekbone looked out from the acid-blood, and he had a gaze of agony. His eyes were without glimmer or glow as he watched his presumable executioner run up to him. Then in the very last moment he leaped to the side as strong as he could, leaving his Melta Bomb set with 2 seconds remaining when he did so, it sitting where he once was. "The fires of Fenris shall devour you!" He swore to the monster.

    The charge was glorious. Angels of Absolution met the charge of the Inquisitorial force head on, as it was best for ones of their rank and stature. Death came for men on both side of the line, and the blood flew in abundance.

    @DeranVendar Feron moved in, covered by Sister's indiscriminate fire. First Angel fell to heavy bolter, second one was smashed aside by mighty Skull Splitter while the third one was shot by a Squad of Stormtroopers that came behind Salamander. But then it was cut short as one of the last remaining Devastators brought up his missile launcher and fired off a frag projectile in the middle of the advancing force, throwing Feron on the ground besides couple of troopers who were now dead or dying. As he rose his head, he could see a Marine was advancing towards him, hefting a big power sword in a two handed grip, the murder clear in his movement.

    @Shadhunter Jean spotted that the Salamander fell and aimed at the Devastator, sniping him with precise shooting. However, sitting behind a fallen debris eventually proved to be dangerous, especially in a short-ranged fire fight. One of the Angels spotted her and fired at her, his mag filled with Kraken bolts that went through the masonry and found their purchase in her flesh, opening the armor on her right leg and toppling her in the dirt, blood flowing from her wound.

    @DaKaptin Rocky avenged Jean as he fire couple of bullets at the enemy Marine, was it a lucky shot or not but one of those went through Angel's eye lens and impacted in his skull, the poison killing the man almost instantly. In return, ratling saw couple of frag grenades coming his way which he promptly ducked, narrowly evading the explosion. Sadly, he didn't entirely dodge every single wound because as he opened his eyes, he could see a shrapnel of a size of man's finger sticking out of his thigh.

    Edd on the other hand, had fun with destroying Marines that fell to his opening fire. Another one died to Fenix's fire which covered Ogryn's advance before even that was put to a halt as a jump pack warrior came out of nowhere, straight at Edd and smashed the Ogryn aside, before he impaled his chansword below Edd's armpit, the whirling teeth on their way to separate his arm from his torso.

    Techmarine on the other hand, moved with plenty of stealth around the force and soon he would reach the rubble were Land Raider was being buried under.

    OOC busy day is a real bitch. Once again I apologize for my mates inside of the Keep - I'll hopefully do you a post in 2 hours max.

    EDIT scratch that, I'll write it right now :)

    <Battle for Knosos Keep>

    <Courtyard>

    "Ultima Vale" was first thing that went through the breach on the left wing, Tempestus allowing for the Predator to push through. It was however met by heavy fire from couple of Devastator positions up towards the entrance to the Keep which was away from their position around 700-800 meters, up the big stairway and towards the mountain. Predator ate one lascannon shot and two missiles that ruined its tracks and stopped it dead in its tracks. Sitri payed them back as the tank opened fire and obliterated one of those positions, but still, it prevented it from moving really.

    @lord-watchman Tempestus and @Xaphen Icelos were able to go through the breach though, assisted by the remaining infantry and they saw the other part of the friendly force pushing from the other way, currently embattled with Alpha Legionnaires and a Defiler of all things.

    As for the others, they had their hands full. @DeathKorpsOfKrieg Amraphel's idea was fine but it would hardly be implemented. Since there was no idea for him to exactly know when the battle cannon would fire he couldn't properly prepare his shot which was only a half of the problem. Other issue was that the plasma projectile still needed to travel a certain distance and wasn't fast as a bolt shot (despite it being only couple of seconds, it would still take time) so a precise shot at the same moment once the machine fires it cannon was something only perhaps a psyker was able to accomplish. And as it went, Defiler fired off a shot and Amraphel did his thing, hitting the barrel but only after the projectile left it. Sadly, it only did a slight damage on it, not hindering it in any way nor preventing it from firing again.

    On the other side, the projectile landed in the midst of advancing Stormtroopers who were led by @Grall_Stonefist Dorallius, killing most of them almost instantly and throwing Excoriator off his feet like a ragged doll, he registering multiple breaches in his armor as the Chaos Marines redoubled their efforts, scoring a number of additional hits.

    @Loldoom Sigismund was free to advance as he still remained safe from the enemy fire, moving from rubble to rubble, but still if he wanted to get in the melee, he would need to cross the killing ground that was filled with corpses of friendly troopers.

    As for @Vulpas Volorox, he somehow did manage to get through all the firing, the enemy hitting him but not being able to penetrate his holy armor. Reaching the Defiler, he managed to throw his plasma grenade which impacted on one of the multiple legs and burn it half way, the thing reduced to moving with an awkward gait. But as the Marine Malevolent began retreating, the machine saw its attacker and swung its huge claw at him. The limb only grazed Volorox, which was more than enough to send him flying through the air and through a wall into a ruined building, breaking his arm in the process and making him drop his power halberd somewhere along his flight.

    Chaplain was still there however, rallying the men and pushing in, finally reaching the Alpha Legionnaires and meeting them in melee like a raging tempest of black and silver. Ill Omen rose and fell, the push still managing to keep its momentum.

    OOC enemies: 25 Alpha Legionnaires (multiple types), 3 Devastators (Angels of Absolution), Defiler (Boss).

    <Feron>
    Skull Splitter in his own double handed grip the Salamander climbed back to his feet meeting the Angel of Absolution a quarter of the way in a defensive bunt that saw the blade caught against the square face of the hammer. Were he to try and force his opponent back with superior strength a simple back step and stab would see him skewered, pressing the blade aside would leaving him open to a reactive slash, horizontal or vertical. However these thoughts had passed mere moments before their strikes even connected with Feron instead feeling the shift in dueling power weapons drive the blade to leftward as if they were magnets of the same polar alignment meeting. Pushing himself to the right his pauldron slammed into the Astarte's chest as his deflected blade struck only earth. With a single swing Skull Splitter closed in on ceramite plated head flattening it into a gory pancake within the Angel's gorget. Sweeping his knee up the corpse was sent scrambling on headless heels toward the enemy line providing a momentary meat shield before the Force Commander swept around to throw himself into the fray once more with both hammer and combat blade.

    Sprinting diagonally he zigged left, then left again before ducking right and left once more to throw off enemy aim. Against normal opponents perhaps the renegades could compensate however super human reflexes dueled with super human perception putting them on even footing. Powering through what pain was spiking throughout his limbs, pain suppressants having run out by this point due to a few critical strikes to the components from various bits of shrapnel, Feron brought himself into reached of the Devastators laying in with a heavy hammer strike that obliterated a heavy bolter and floored its owner whom was brained against the cold, packed earth with a stomp of his foot.

    "leave the defiler to me" as he spoke he started to rush at the chaos walker "bring down as many of the alphalegion as you can" as he said this he stomped an alpha legion marine to death with his weight and then brought his sword through anouther of its legs to assist his brother who had charged it already

    Riding the thudding blows of bolt shells glancing off his armour, Draconion springs forward and to the left, running along the vertical wall surface with telekinesis-assisted steps before jumping off to attack with a mighty two-handed overhead cut from the blind spot immediately above the Sorcerer'ss head - the weakest zone in an axeman's defence.

    Of course, he is quite conscious of the fact that his opponent more than likely sports uncanny senses, the same as himself. Informed by this prediction, Draconion gathers his powers for a mighty psychic roar, narrowing the focus to just his one foe, raking red-hot nails of disorienting agony across his nervous system an instant before his sword falls.

    <Lord Sitri & Marius>

    "Once again we are stuck, eh?!" Marius announced as he primed the Las Cannon. Sitri just chuckled on that and shifted over to man the Pintle-Mounted Stormbolter. Luckily he had his helmet on. Instantly the targeting systems of his advanced Power Armor and the Predator linked up. The distant targets flashing up like somebody stuck glow-paint on them. "Time to make them pay for the sins, for we are the children of the sinners, we slay in Belials name, may they suffer and perish!" The Space Marine announced before the Stormbolter started spitting rounds.
  8. Dorallius quickly tried to move into a quick cover, whatever might shield him from the next couple of bolts, his armour allready lost alot of integrety in this damned explosion, he cleared his mind, he wasent dased, he was icapable of that, he just needed a quater second to collect himself.
    As he quickly lew there and went over the tactical feed in his helmet, he changed to his bolt pistol and combat blade, the flamer would loose most effectiveness when fighting traitor arstartes.

    It seems that the enemy had turned the central courtyard into a killing field, a simple charge would most likely result in suicide. Although... His very last grenade might just be the best way across. Unhooking the last blind grenade, Sigismund threw it ahead and as soon as the dark cloud grew thick enough, charged through towards the ranks of the legionnaires. Hopefully this would draw some of the fire off of Doraillius, Amphreal and Volorox as they readied themselves.

    Seeing that his efforts towards the destruction of the defiler didn't achieve anything Amraphel stopped wasting his time, and instead left the deamon engine to their own dreadnought. Instead he noticed that there was another critical junction of the battle where his prowess was needed; their own tank was pinned down by the remaining enemy devastators and they would surely need the tanks support. The Salamander feron had already dealt with 2 of them, so Amraphel finished off the last one with 4 Plasma shots to the foes helmet.

    However there were still a lot of Alpha Legionaires left and he wasted to time in dealing with them. He rushed from cover to cover, sheltering behind piles of rubble and debris. He moved up towards the chaplain and unsheathed his sword, preparing to charge into melee. Before charging, he fired his wrist mounted flamethrowler moving the burning wave of promethium from left to right, catching one unlucky foe in the flames. He then charged sword held high, but instead as other who needed to yell arround meaningless chants while charging, Amraphel charged silently, or at least as silently as a power armoured marine could.

    A foe fired a bolter at him, but he managed to turn and the bolts hit his shoulder pad. He wasn't deterred by it and a few seconds later he leapt forward and charged the enemy who had just fired at him. The marine pulled a combat knife trying to block his sword stroke. This desperate move came way to late, as he outmanouvered the foes blade and cut through the arm wielding the knife. Quickly he spun arround and stabbed into the fools heart.
    Amraphel faced the next enemy and prepared to charge....
