Amraphel moved his hand towards his pistol holsters and drew his pistols, but not taking aim yet. If the arbites wouldn't respect inquisitorisl authority, they would still understand this simple gesture. Amraphel switched to the team vox and spoke:" Ladies, Gentlemen, Ogryns if the arbites resort to violence I have an idea for our escape. If wades submarine is still intact we can use it to escape unmolested. We could throw whatever grenades we have and then make for the submersible as quickly as possible."
OOC: Etz a boat mate... a boat full ov Wade's men waiting for him... Let do it! They'll never see et coming!
OOC: Let's do it Well we dont even know what the arbites gonna do anyway. And wades men should be in dissaray in any case.
OOC: I support the break for it to the Dock... wait, aren't we closer to the upper hive entrance since we did the ambush?
OOC Actually, you are here: <Team Alpha & Beta> Everything happened in split of a second. Five chimera worth of Arbites disembarked the transports and watched both the Team and PDF soldiers who were still undergoing deployment. Draconion's now customary buffing didn't make Arbites lose their focus which was quite disturbing. Moment later, his mind suddenly felt a surge of power rising close by and following that he turned his head, seeing one of the final figures which left the lead chimera. It was an older woman, her blind eyes fixing the Librarian with a deathly stare. At the same time, Marshal nodded to both Feron's and Draconion's showcase of Inquisitorial sign and saw as Lysander was about to make his move as well, after consulting with the Ratling. "I see," Xander said, "In that case, there is only one thing I can do. Kill them." The moment those words left his mouth was the moment Arbites force opened fire. Chimera's multi-lasers, lasguns, shotguns, autoguns and other various weaponry fired indiscriminately on both the Team and PDF. Half of the PDF force died almost instantly while the other half looked for cover but found almost none save for their own chimeras which suffered brunt of the attack, two blowing up by being hit with couple of anti-armor grenades. Captain Rorke himself tried to rally his men but fell to a las shot that went through his neck, ending his life in the slums of the Underhive. As far as the Team went, most of them suffered some kind of a wound. Edd ate dozen las shots that made his skin blister and burn, much worse than what he experienced from gangers guns since this enemy was much more organized. Rocky on the other hand, managed to stay hidden but not for long, a heavy bolter gunner tracing him and sending dozen bolts towards his hiding spot, blowing up his cover but not wounding him. Draconion was hit by a psychic blast that launched him through the street and he ended up connecting with the ruined ganger truck, his armor scorched from the attack which made his mind reel for a moment, thus allowing for more lasguns to pour their load onto him. Jean was struck in chest by couple heavy bolter rounds, however her artificer armor held up, the only wound she had was couple of bruises. Sister managed to duck behind ganger chimera and kept her head down, evading further bullets that came her way. There is also where Lysander found refugee after being hit by the enemy fire which burned through his armor and damaged his left arm. Feron was brought to one knee as a lucky bolter shot hit the weak joint in his leg, the bolt lodging inside and wounding his skin and bone. The Salamander managed to get free of the hail of fire, but then 5 Arbites armed with mauls and shields came at him, intent on killing him right there. Amraphel was also hit by enemy fire once again, however he was traced by multi-laser fire from one of the chimeras. It couldn't hurt him initially but as another chimera added to the fire, it completely ruined his robes and set them on fire, alongside scorching his armor from head to toe before he found cover. He was also then charged by 5 maul + shield wielding law enforcers, the grim determination clear in their eyes. Fenix and Six stayed together throughout this ordeal, both soldiers finding cover behind some broken piece of concrete back near the hab block from which they opened fire, this being the first actual retaliation that team offered and drew blood by killing two of the enemy Arbites. OOC Friendly force: 15 PDF soldiers; Enemy Force: 20 melee arbites, 25 ranged arbites, 5 chimeras with multi-lasers and 5 heavy bolter turrets operational, Marshal Xander (Boss), Female psyker (Boss). Same deal like before - you can kill some of them, just keep it logical. You can't kill bosses, you write your action post and I'll write reaction <Team Gamma> OOC you have only 1 (or how many you took when we were picking it at the start of the mission, I think 2 were max?) clip of hellfire rounds while you have "unlimited" normal ammo. Since you already fired them couple of times, I'm allowing you to do it in two more posts, then you are out of them. Icelos managed to kill three of the guards in somewhat quick fashion, however he didn't manage to remain unseen, since there were quite a lot of enemy soldiers and the ravine itself wasn't that big. Shouts and curses echoed all around as buggy's gunner was the first one to spot Blackshield, punching a salvo of heavy bolter rounds at him, some of which hit his armor and made him grunt in pain. After it, he was welcomed with a volley of lasfire as twenty guns fired, most of them hitting rocks around him but some managing to score a hit, further blackening his power armor. This commotion made the force coming out of the base hurry up and if Icelos was to look further down the ravine's path, he could see a dozen of well-armed individuals coming his way. ------------ Most of the heretics died under the combined assault of the Space Marines, their Knightly friend and couple of natives. Those that survived were ran down by Sigismund as he wasn't in mind for leaving any heretic alive. Steinar also helped him in this, reaping a heavy toil alongside his brothers, a vengeance for all those lives lost at battle for city of Enos. In the end, every heretic truck was ruined while every single one of them lied dead on the field. Every single one except for the one Marine Malevolent caught and captured. "I'll tell you nothing!" the heretic cried at the loss of his arm, his words mingled with fear as he wet himself. "Long live Cult of the Morning Star and our glorious Masters! Death to the False Emperor!" As for the natives, they weren't looking much at the newcomers, because whatever primal instinct they had told them these were friends. So they were more focused on helping the wounded and inspecting the damage this battle took on their small village. <Mining Station> The Chaplain left out a rather long sigh, contemplating on what he was about to do. These souls were touched by the stigma of Chaos and none were left undamaged. The loss of such life was great, but it would be even worse to let them live. In fact, killing them will be the most merciful thing they could do now. "Do it brother, those who are pure will find their way to the Emperor's side," Marmaroth said but quickly brought up a hand, signaling for stop. Both Tempestus (with his powers) and creature (with its smell) could sense a group of figures (before actually seeing them) emerging on the far side of the chamber. Monstrous combat servitors which perhaps once used to be Praetorians marched towards the Team, being led by a heavily augmented creature that hissed and blurred in machine code, various mechandrites sprawling from his big bulk. "He wishes to welcome us to this station," Angelous translated as he reloaded his modified bolter, "He says his name is XK-776N and he will use our flesh and technology as a tribute to his Lord and further increase his enlightened powers. He also wishes to inform us that our end is nigh." "How delightful," Marmaroth spat as he opened fire on the approaching Praetorians, taking off chunks of metal from their forms before he also charged, wanting to bring himself into melee as soon as possible. "WITH ME BROTHERS, FOR THE EMPEROR!" he roared the simplest of all battle-cries, which was also the most effective one. OOC 10 Corrupted Praetorians (2 with Lascannons, 5 with heavy bolters, 2 with plasma guns, 1 with heavy flamer; alongside that, each one has melee power weapons) 1 Heretek Magos (Boss). You can kill 2 of them each with your next post, you can't kill boss - if you wish, you write your actions and I'll write responses.
"in his name" as he spoke he emptied 20 assault cannon rounds into the two with lascannons as they fired on him, the resulting aftermath was a destroyed assault cannon and two pulped praetorians "well could be worse" as he spoke he looked at angelous "i may need more repairs after this"
<Mining Station> "If we survive it," the Techmarine answered flatly as he ducked behind cover after being targeted by two Praetorians with heavy bolters that pushed through and went for Tempestus. The former servants of the Omnissiah were big machines, easily standing at the same height as the Chaplain in his Terminator armor, but were of course, still smaller than the Venerable Dreadnought. One of them had a power fist while the other one had three mechandrites with long power blades on them, intent on carving Tempestus and his casket apart. (OOC you can kill one of them). OOC still leaving free space for Grall to do his stuff. Marmaroth's charge was met by a blaze of heavy weapon's fire, washing his form in big bullets all over again. But despite his bulk, the Flesh Tearer was able to move with unnatural speed of a Marine used to wearing this type of armor. His first target was the servitor with a plasma gun which fired upon him, but the Chaplain used the flat of his wide blade as a shield, the plasma shots impacting on it but not doing any damage whatsoever. Before he knew it, he was into the melee and with an overhead swing, he cleaved the Praetorian in two pieces, separating him vertically in a spray of machine oil and body parts. But then another thing came and hit Marmaroth with a big power claw, drawing a deep gash in his left shoulder and ruining Inquisitorial symbol on his armor. During the same time, the Heretek leader approached a nearby console and began pressing some digits, however the Team was unable to reach him since the Praetorian Guard protected him from any attack. OOC Update: 7 Corrupted Praetorians (5 with heavy bolters, 1 with plasma guns, 1 with heavy flamer; alongside that, each one has melee power weapons) 1 Heretek Magos (Boss).
OCC: Well im in a bind. I was really trying to go all predator on them. Oh, well. As the bolter had hit him, he quickly moved up the ravine once more and hid himself again from their presence. They were gaining on him and it was just a matter of time before they would catch up. He didnt retreat defenseless. With the plentiful scrap metal lieing around, he set little hidden foot traps. It was quick trick: dig a square(foot) hole with your hand then place sharp object inside and just add a little on top to hide the trap. About fifteen were made, leaving them under his foot mud tracks. The tactics was mainly to slow down infantry movements, but mixed with the toxic sludge of this wasteland, it would do more then just 'slow'. They had seen him, changing his original plan, but this could still play to his advantage. Just seeing a glimpse of him told them there was a enemy, nothing new. With him covered in the sludge of the wasteland, they can only see a large walking black and grey creature. Let there imagination take control of them. Three bodies were his. With one, he impaled the man through the chest will a large piece of metal. The original square sheet was crumpled and twisted. The result was terrifying effigy that stood between the Heretics and Icelos(right before the traps). The second body, he ripped the head clean off , then impaling the skull again with metal. This large sharpened rod was tossed at the buggy. The Head and spine of the Heretic was clearly seen spiraling down at the gunner. The last body was his shield, tearing off the arms and legs for less weight, Icelos waited on top of the ravine. Again hidden in the dirt, waiting to meat his foes... OOC2: I assume his is at a position up the hill, that leads above the ravine blocking sight from the ones in the ravine.
OOC Oh, you have no idea Icelos watched as dozen soldiers went after him, only to see more than half of them getting wounded by the traps he made on his way up, a testimony to his skill. The warnings he placed below placed something like fear into the hearts of the enemy, but they actually kept on pushing up! This made Icelos think, for the situation was quite strange. Why didn't they stop and run in fear at sight of those gruesome trophies or how did they spot him so easily in the first place? Alas, the suspicions came far too late as a dark shape darted at the edge of his sight. In the split-second that took him to move, his head was connected with a power mace and he was sent tumbling in the dirt. His attacker was as fast as he was and he had an element of surprise (and also strength of numbers, but Icelos couldn't know that at the moment), which allowed him to hit the Blackshield once more. Before he was rendered unconscious and sent to dreamworld, through the closing eyes, Icelos could see a figure in blue and green armor, trimmed in silver, wearing a power mace of archaic design and a horned helmet that seemed to grin back at him. OOC plot twist!
<Feron> "Fighting retreat lets get out of here and back to the Angelfall now!" With Wade tucked in one arm Feron met his harassing Arbites with Skull Splitters hoisting it on high before arcing it on down in a reverse stroke that tore through three shields before halting in the fourth. The initial three fell apart with bottom halves giving out and a simple tug violently pulled the man bearing the last from his feet, a step up to get him back on his feet crushing this man's skull as the wedged pick end was worked out to the tune of screeching metal and ceramite pressing in on flesh. A Shock Maul grazed along his side doing little to even slow him Feron driving his knee into this man he hadn't struck yet with enough force to topple him, another sharp kick of his heel seeing his days ended. Sweeping back around Skull Splitter made a fine bloody mist of three armored heads sending their crumpled helmets and visors flying. Mag-locked back at his side bolter came forth in bionic hand using the increased stabilization to pour a series of kraken bolts into two Chimaeras snapping fire between their heavy bolters to silence the weapons with armor piercing rounds rupturing their chambers and fire mechanisms. All the while he was working back toward the cover of the ruins to get their man out of there and closer to extraction. With two more heavy bolters and a multi-laser raking his position the Salamander was pinned down behind cover. With little else to do while awaiting relief he searched through Steve's belongings look for any special trinkets or toys that might help them out.
