    The salesman grabbed the coin and spoke quickly, afraid that somebody might listening to this conversation. "Bloodrippahs are in the north east, like fast rides and bikes, adrenalin freaks. Purgers hold this territory you are currently in, use quite a lot of flame-based weaponry and stuff. Marauders hold south western part and are stone-cold killers, even using mutant gangs as meat shields. Screaming sons are toughest of all them, got most firepower and greatest numbers, got their hands on drugs and other crap."

    "About that other guy you asked...you must understand man, I can't rat them out, if I do I'm a dead man. If you wanna know more, go to the Information Broken, he's your man, he's got protection, we out here don't. Now please, leave."

    Salamander was way more than a match for lowly businessman, the Astartes smashing the shotgun aside and making Don piss his pants. But before he was able to spill anything out, a gunshot echoed the room and Don's brain was splattered all across Feron's front armor.

    The person who pulled the trigger was sitting behind one of the tables in the background, a rather large hat obscuring his face at the moment. He rose up and casually blew the smoke from his revolver pistol before placing it back in his dual holster. Just how exactly he remained hidden was a mystery into its own.

    "Sorry, mister in big power armor," the guy spoke and they could see his face and it was a handsome looking dark-haired human, "Or shall I say, a Space Marine? Don't worry, I won't tell. Once again, sorry for the mess," he said as he pulled a dataslate of his own and clicked couple of digits. "Fat Don was on my bounty list, he was wanted for offering false info and holding this shop without having a license. But don't worry, I accidentally overheard your conversation and I might know where's the guy you are looking for, even give that info for free. You know why - because I think adding an actual Space Marine and his gang into shit like this ought to have quite interesting consequences."

    "Half of the sector's bounty hunters are looking for Wade, big price on his head, too big to simply ignore. The man himself is almost untouchable, got hold up in his big fortress north of his territory. But thankfully for all of us, tonight he'll be out for the first time in quite some time. He'll be at the Great Arena - the Colosseum, watching the fight. Why, nobody knows but that's the info we have. So I'm also telling you all of this since you are our comrade in arms and all, and we bounty hunters gotta stick together, right? Now I gotta go so I don't miss the opening ceremony and I suggest you not to miss it either. Organizers promised lots of bloodshed!"

    Dorallius was now well-versed in fighting with his gladius, not giving much chance for the hyenas to survive this combat. But these weren't cowardly animals and a rather big specimen suddenly showed its ugly head. It pounced at hit the Excoriator on the side, the sharp claw going through the Marine's hip and taking a bit of flesh with it. The lesser dogs went mad as they felt the scent of blood, attacking Dorallius with increased vigor. They bit at him, offering assistance to the big one which once again came around and bit Marine's hand, trying to tear it off and disarm him. (OOC You are being attacked by 1 big & 2 small hyenas, you can kill all of them.)

    Steinar on the other hand paid with blood for his tactic to succeed. Two hounds tore through his leg armor but found themselves impaled by Marine''s chainswords almost at the same time. The warrior didn't have much time to celebrate as the biggest hyena of all, easily bigger than Steinar himself (looking like some thunderwolf of all creatures), alpha no doubt, used the commotion and launched itself straight at the Space Wolf. It managed to disarm him, the claws going through his armor like it was nothing while its huge maw bit the man on his head, but Steinar's quick reflexes saved him as he only lost a part of his flesh near his jaw.

    It took Angelous a while before he made certain that system was clear of everything the enemy program managed to install into him. Tempestus on the other hand, had no trouble bursting the door apart and opening their way deeper into the station.

    However, their arrival was known to the Machine Spirit of the station and to whoever was controlling it. As a response, the lights died in this part of the station, throwing them into complete darkness. Of course, that wouldn't really bother them much but it was only meant to throw them a bit off balance. For bothering part, slow "thumping" down the corridor, approaching them at even pace.

    "Ready your weapons brothers, I think we have company," Marmaroth growled as he checked the ammo feed for the last time on his wrist-mounted storm bolter and grabbed the giant sword in both of his hands, ready to slay whatever may come their way.

    <Steinar 'OH YOU BIG UGLY MOFU' Greywold!>
    "YOU THINK YOU CAN MESS WITH ME?! I KILLED MANY MORE THINGS BIGGER THAN YOU! YOU FORSAKEN CREATURE!" The Space Wolf roared and punched the thing in it's face over and over with the right hand while trying to choke it with the left. "DAMN! UGLY! CREATURE! OF! THIS! DIRTY! DUMP!" He roared each word along with each of his hits.

    <Angelous>
    "I suggest you turn your Photon Beam Searchlight on, Marmaroth." Angelous suggested and readied his custom Bolter, cracking his neck (perhaps as glitch, perhaps as battle-readiness) and marched forward to the side of his brothers. "That Emperor's Light weapon I read about your former team would be quite a use right now." The Techmarine joked and switched his bionic eye to night vision.

    Allowing his helmet to feed through all the information spoken to the rest of the team for him the Salamander gently swatted off the chunks of grey from his cloak and armor, just smirking a touch behind his helmet, it had been a rare bit of actual fun pulling that much out nonsense out of his ass on the spot. "Seems terribly convenient, at least we know where our next lead is, trap or no. " Already he was digging through what information they had trying to match the face to anyone Dart might have dug up in their data-base, noting the reactions of other street goers as he took off. " Lysander, Fenix? Time to call a regroup? " Honestly he was feeling a tinge worried about infringing on the chain of command but the bulk of his mind was pushing it aside to begin working out approaches on this coming arena ordeal. Opening up a private channel to Amraphel. "Brother, thinking that little idea about downing power in parts of the Underhive might have merit, so little down here of use to the common folk that we wouldn't be causing much extra damage. See if you can't find out something on the layout here before we all convene hmmm? Should be worth bringing up come time to make a plan. "

    The Investigator tipped his dark leather cowboy hat in the direction of the salesmen, once more a tool used to give off the impression of an off-world hunter, Lysander made to motion for the others to prepare to depart from the area. "Thank you kindly, Mr."

    Turning his back to him, the Arbite made to stride away from the salesmen booth while simultaneously activating his vox communicator. His voice returned to that of a stern, hardened enforcer as he answered the Marine, the need for deception not needed for the time being. "Indeed. We might want to regroup at the Information Broker, given our desperate need to figure out the location of this Wade individual. Anything new to report?"

    "Large reward out for Wade's death, fairly large number of Bounty Hunters out for his head. They say he has a fortress up north of his territory he hardly leaves but seems that will change soon with a trip to the local Colosseum for a particularly major bout tonight. Least if the fellow who just spilled brains all over my new cloak is to be believed. Mentioned the organizers are promising a lot of blood, to be frank I'd expect them to know everything and everything and that we're probably already on the list of fighters, whether we like it or not. Shall discuss ways to work around this once we're back together though. " Looking down he noted the Cyber-Mastiff making sure he hadn't gotten lost or nicked in the crowd. "Your hound is fine by the way. " Reaching down to give the mastiff a quick pat he glanced around at the others seeing how they were doing. Perhaps he was being overly paranoid but the moment an Alpha Legion infiltrator was revealed not so terribly long ago he wasn't willing to rule out anything, not to mention their foes already had a lovely habit of being a few steps ahead whether xenos or heretic.

    The Blackshield was struggling at first, one worm stuck to his Bolter, almost eating the weapon whole. The creature didn't get to realize its mistake before it was blown into. The fire igniting its organs, it blew up in the air like a firework. Sprinkling the pair in burning worm matter.

    While his partner was dealing with his own prey, jumped high above the Blackshield, a surprise attack. They were more clever then he though. The worms knew that he couldn't attack directly in the direction of attack, if the Malevolent did he would have to also hit the Blackshield. While the effort would work on normal, unarmored humans, it was mistaken to think its actual attack would do any harm.

    The Blackshields's instincts kicked in, while he knew the attack would probably do little more then peel paint from the armor. He still acted. He 'sheathed' his power axe and leap up. Higher then any normal marine should. He took the hit from the worm, right into his helmet. Completely blinding him.

    While it was 'weak' it still carried force with it and the duo flew into the fire wall the Malevolent had created...

    The Blackshield appeared shortly from the wall of flame. His Black armor now covered in Promethium and fire. His lenses reflected the fire in his heart and the fire burned on him like the pent in rage. He was a flaming apparition of death. Taking a step forward from the flame, he turned his head to his partner.

    OOC: 3x3=9, and we got 8 worms. I killed 2 the Malevolent killed 3. Oh no....

    "Indeed," muses Draconion, "The sink gangs must be especially ferocious to stymie the Arbites...assuming, of course, that they are indeed conscientious in their duty as you yourself are, Captain."

  8. <Dorallius jerked his arm, throwing off the hyana trying to disarm him, as he once again was knocekd down. pounced by a giant hyana, he then with the best he could, kicked it away with his slightly wounded leg, sending just one pace back, then the other hyana gut a better bite through his hand with the bolt pistol, pulling the gun away, but as it did that, also releasing his hand.
    He was quickly up, back handing one of the smaller hyanas, the bigger one slightly circling him, before suddenly attacking, and tough it was fast, Dorallius was a spacemarine, and quickly sidestepped, while chainging the grip on his gladius, then jammed into the skull of the creature, severing the brain.
    One big down two to go, he quickly thought as one of them, then actually got a bite into the allready opened wound, though it was send away with a kick.

    <Team Alpha>

    After half an hour, the entire Team Alpha regrouped at one ruined grocery store near the big pillar of hive's superstructure, holding this entire part of "ceiling" and preventing it from falling and burying the underhivers under it. The team was given a choice - either go to the Information Broker and try to barter information about Steve Wade from him or follow Feron's lead. The Broker's location was further up to north, past the sludge sea and near the Chapel of the God-Emperor. Information Brokers were almost always persons of great interest, since they were acting like middleman between all sorts of residents of the Hive's population. Because their position was quite unique, they had small armies of various mercenaries guarding their backs so employing crude methods to get information out of them was one of the quickest ways to get your head blown open in this part of the Hive.

    The second choice, which involved following a shady advice given by an equally shady individual and visiting the great arena was perhaps somewhat of a long shot, but the big bounty on Wade's head was there and real, so if the man indeed left his (presumably) big fortress, catching him here in the open would save the team lots of trouble in the future.

    Captain Rorke facial expression grew colder a bit, not giving Librarian his wanted answer. Perhaps the man didn't want to speak bad about people who weren't here or even condemn them in the eyes of one such as Emperor's own Space Marine. Or perhaps the sudden surge of soldiers that came to accompany the newcomers during their visit to the Governor prevented him from speaking. In any case, both Jean and Draconion were led through many glorious halls, the statues and images of the Emperor and His Saints all around the place, which in this way, looked quite normal like any other Palace in the wide Imperium.

    Before they went in front of the man himself, they were of course disarmed, their weapons waiting on them after they leave the place (Draconion's psychic powers were something their guards didn't count in of course). Eventually, they were brought to a big audience hall where a number of troopers were standing guard in front of a large dais, on which throne a man in his mid forties was sitting, dressed in luxurious robes and flanked with couple of advisers dressed in similar manner. Captain Rorke left them some time ago, handing them in the hands of another PDF officer, a grim looking big fellow who didn't say a single word as he led them through the various chambers.

    "I present His royal majesty, Destroyer of Tau Empire, Purger of the Prime planet, Defender of Kanaro, the Supreme ruler of Onpuku system and Master of Onpuku II, Lord Governor Frederick Montavia," the speaker spoke. "His royal majesty wishes for his guests to properly introduce themselves to him, so the talks may begin afterwards."

    The worm vermin didn't do much damage to the warriors such were Space Marines. In fact as more than half of their numbers died in mere seconds, the rest of them burrowed back into the ground and disappeared out of sight, retreating and licking their wounds. For now, the team was safe, only an endless plain of garbage in front of them which didn't look that friendly after they were met with the local fauna. But it was either go forward or go back and find Steinar and Dorallius.

    That duo however, had their hands full. Dorallius's kill of the big hyena made smaller ones back away a bit, not really sure if they would charge forward now that their big brother had paid the ultimate price. The animals turned their attention on their alpha, which wrestled with Space Wolf. Steinar managed to kill the best, but not going through the ordeal unwounded, the hyena managing to score (among a dozen other wounds across his armored form) a deep gash on his neck, which would leave him quite a nice scar in the future.

    As the alpha died, so did the rest of the pack lost their coherence and they turned their tails and ran. But, they didn't get far as a gunshots were heard around two Space Marines, the rest of the hyenas (only 3 actually) dying where they were. After the moment, couple of helmeted figures rose from their hiding positions atop the junk "hills", ornate hunting rifles in their hands. They went down and most of them went to get the carcasses while one of them approached Steinar and Dorallius. The man's face was hidden from sight, the used military grade helm, goggles that prevented dust from entering his eyes and a scarf across his mouth and nose helped him keep his appearance of a "mystery man".

    "Good work on killing Djukelas," he gestured at the big dead alpha, "He and his pack hounded us for quite some time, and I thank you for getting him off our back. Name's Luko and those are my men. Who are you and what are you doing out here in the junk plains?" quite direct indeed.

    <Mining Station>

    The slow thumping approached them and the creatures responsible for such actions were soon in their sights. It was a small army of combat servitors, at least 50 of them, armed with various types of weaponry - chainswords, heavy bolters, flamers and so on. It showed why Tempestus was unable to sense them, apparently most of the security force of this mining station consisted of the mechanized servants, sent here to purge the intruders.

    The corridor was quite wide, in fact it would be easy for Terminator armored Chaplain, his wolflike companion and
    the Venerable Dreadnought to stand besides each other (leaving the Techmarine with enough "meat shield" possible).

    "Just like old times eh?" Marmaroth smiled as he watched the incoming force open fire, the shots ringing effortlessly against his armor. "As the darkness falls and the hearts of men waver before the ever-growing night, it comes to us, warriors of old, to steer the humanity towards the light," he pointed his sword towards the enemy. "Let this be the hour when the faith shines and our souls blaze with inner purpose. Let this be the hour of reckoning, for the foe is numerous but his cause is false like the gods he serves. Follow me brothers and together, we shall teach even this mindless machines the true meaning of fear."

    The Chaplain propelled himself towards the servitors and brought his sword down in wide arc, utterly annihilating five of them with a single swing of the monstrous blade and killing three more with the return strike. The machine oil flew and splattered the walls as the Gods of War themselves joined the fray.

    OOC since this is more for fun than having an actual impact on the story for other guys, feel free to go wild and kill as many servitors as you like with your next post :)
