The people carrying Sirius eventually arrived in Apothecarion where couple of fresh medical staff with the Howling Griffon in charge awaited for the patient. "Put him on the table there," Gaius ordered as he got around and started inspecting the wounds. "If anyone else is injured, other serfs will look into it. Now, I'd like for you leave so I can work in peace. It's been a while since I donned the White and I need to focus." Perhaps not sounding really confident, but Gaius knew his task and was about to do it admirably. "I'll return shorty brother. Don't let him die," the Chaplain said before he left the Apothecarion and disappeared somewhere in the darkness of the ship's corridors, not saying a single word to others.
"Perhaps you are hood with rations." Jean chuckled. "We all are. But it never hurts to have something... tasty every once in a while."
<Steinar Greywold> + @Draconion Once the man was delivered, Steinar grabbed the Librarian by the arm and pulled him to the side. "What happened? I only know that the Apothecary saved your life, my arm and probably many more. And I know he served with my cousin and even before Marmaroth had been reborn and he was the Apothecary who kept Veritas in a good enough condition so he could be put in a Dreadnought rather than be killed. So what did he do to drive you to a point that you want him dead?" <Marius> "Well. Seems like you did well and that the Ultima Vale likes you. She guided your rounds." The Serf explained as he looked at the various targets. "I doubt I am that well with the Stormbolter myself, though that is why I am the gunner of the Las Cannons. Simply more of the precision shooter and hit where it really hurts, rather than pummeling one into the ground. Marius crossed his arms, smiling wide.
- Rocky and Edd They arrived at the Cantina. Edd had listed a number of other foods he had filed away in his BONE'ead. Arriving, he ordered a large Grox stake, with chips, and Cocomilk. (Chocolate milk, but grimdark somehow) Rocky ordered a thick loger, and a meat pie. It was almost twice his size, but he didn't seem deterred. "Well Edd, how's your first Grox stake?" "Ets good Rocky. There fired spuds es really salty." "That means they're delicious Edd. Speaking of, I'll have an order of chips as well. Waiter?" "How's yer food miss Jean?" Edd asked with interest. @Shadhunter
OOC Like before, if you guys have some unfinished business, please use <Before briefing> tag or go into PM. After everything was settled, the "Angelfall" made into warp and set the course towards their next objective. During the next week not much did happen, Sirius was still in Apothecarion while others received their rewards for service. Lost crew had been replaced and additional medical staff have came on board, to further assist Gaius now that their Chief Apothecary was indisposed. Life went on, and soon they reached the place Marmaroth planned on dispatching his team next... <Mission 3 - Briefing> "Behold the Onpuku system and its six planets," the Chaplain began as he showed the system on the command table before him to his gathered teammates, "Three of those are dead worlds, two are gas giants with orbiting mining station while the second planet of the system is the one where our quarry is located. Steve Wade. Thanks to our Investigator Lysander who was able to discover the connection between the Chaos outbreak on Gelorn and hopefully a servant of the Unholy Alliance. This Wade guy is the strongest lead we ever had about those traitors and trying to catch one of them alive is of utmost importance. Hopefully, it'll fare better than the last time when we had to deal with that Cult." "I think it will because this time, they don't know we are coming. We will drop at the edge of the system and remain hidden there, while you embark a transport we specially prepared for actions such as this. A cargo freighter which I acquired couple of years ago on a mission sits in one of our hangars. Since Gaius is too busy, Commissar Straus has volunteered for the task of being your pilot." "Your task will be this: since we have no idea if this Wade has connections through the hive we will go with stealth methods. You will therefore infiltrate the underhive and find this ganglord. Capture him alive and question him about his Inquisitor master or anything other he knows about. Van Morten always believed Onpuku system holds a secret base of those cultists but was unable to find them before. Perhaps now is the time to do so." "Also, make no contact with anyone that might recognize you for what you are. If you are captured deny your involvement with the Inquisition or with me, for we don't know how far the heresy spreads. While you are down there, I will take "Angelfall" and investigate the mining station our Inquisitor suspected before, just to be on the safe side." "I know I didn't provide you with much information like I did in the past, but that's how it is. When you return, you will hopefully have better news. Any questions?"
<Before breifing> Fenix had been enjoying the fried meat and chips, then the adhuman duo arrived. Not turning around to meet them, instead Dart's video feed showed them taking a seat and ordering. Sister of Battle Jean was with then, that was surprising. But equally annoying. 'Oh great, those two and Ms. Holier-than-thou. My three favorite associates.' "You should try to be more sociable with your new teammates. They may surprise you." Dart chimmed in, his volume back on. "Shut up. The day I need their help is the day I stop being paid." Fenix says softly before Latching the bottom half of the helmet back into place. Fenix got the attention of the bar-tender (sitting at the counter, would hope they have a bar). "You serve grunts like them stake and trust they won't wreck the place? Would probably only need to paint a rock and the big one would eat it or the little one'll steal your utensils."
<Before Briefing - @Grall_Stonefist + @DeranVendar - Angelous & Dorallius> Angelous and a rather weird creature to the most of the Imperium, but by members of the Ecclesiarchy easily identified as Arco-Flagellants arrived at a small council room, after the two Astartes who had been exclusively invited. "I figured since you helped delivering him, I would present him as token of gratitude. This individual was once the heretic Tank Commander you captured on your first engagement. I am certain he will be of use during missions as killing machine and, or meatshield." Angelous shrugged and pushed him forward with his Mechandrite. "To make him go rampage simply say 'Venganza' but no worries, right now his helmet is shut off so he doesn't hear a thing. Just a tap on the back of his neck and you can make him listen or let him be deaf. Any questions or concerns?" The Blood Ravens gaze hid behind his helmet, but the smile was evident in his proud voice. <Briefing - Steinar Greywold> "Sounds all safe and sound, but. I assume it means we Astartes will have no place on this infiltration? So what will I and the others get to do?" The wolf tilted his head, but tried to hide that he was upset about the possibility of not deploying at all.
"I'm afraid you will have to remain behind with me, old friend. Not that it won't be possible to fit you in the freighter but because you are not really capable of moving stealthy," Marmaroth offered his friend a weak smile. "This is different than the last mission. Strauss will drop you on some of the landing pads closest to the entrances into the underhive, or if you have some other plan, perhaps in the wasteland outside the hive itself. I cannot afford to keep Astartes out of this mission, because I don't know how well that Wade is defended and connected. If he's a gang lord than it would mean he has an army behind him, but how big we don't know. Therefore, I need every available asset to apprehend this traitor which means - you are going in as well."
