Draconion's serene expression does not break, but he chides himself inwardly for falling to the level of a touchy Novice with a point to prove, allowing the Blood Claw's friendly ragging to arouse his ire, however slight or momentary. "I only knew the man by reputation, but it is never a light thing to lose tribe kin, for family and tribe are all we have at the end of all things," he says, bowing to the tooth in solemn respect to the memory of Thain, "May he feast forevermore at the right hand of Him on Earth in the company of heroes, till the War to End All Wars." Pausing for a moment, he decides to lighten the solemn mood that has descended upon the both of them. It seems right and proper for warriors to be introduced thus."
"If it would go after me I would challenge you to a drinking contest! Alas, combat sounds about right. Sitting too idle for too long will only start my muscles to grow weak." Steinar said, hitting himself once more on the chest of his power armor. "Without weapons and armor? Or what are your conditions, oh challenger of the magma world? I shall fight under any condition you can think off!" His hardy laugh that accompanied the sentence as challenging as his exclaim itself. At least one he would feel comfortable around and who knew? Perhaps they would become quite a close bonded pack.
"Well, as I appear to be without armour...," said Draconion, gesturing to his bodyglove, "As for rules..." Ruminating for a second, he speaks again , "Fenrisian Longhouse rules, then - first to score three clean falls wins, strikes and other tricks short of maiming are fair game. Sound good?"
"Sounds good. Although we can have you in your Power Armour in little to no time, after all. The Briefing is soon, or so it seems. Would be quite annoying to get out of the Armour just to get back into it." Steinar said with a shrug, not really caring either way - following the Salamander to their fighting pit.
He snarled at the Astartes, Aspin never had good sense of humor." Oh so you are also the courts fool... I never expected a Knight due to them being so important and always the Elite of the Emperor, but I see why they had sent you away. 'Fool' will be your name to me, and fool... try not make jokes of the Warp..." Manner was quite peeved, the audacity of some lessers. He with a wisp of his coat turning his back to the fool, he had heard that the Astartes were going to the pits. Perfect time to gauge their combat prowess.
"and this is why i hate young inquisitors" with that he moved along the ship just walking around waiting untill he received a messege to head to the breifing when it would happen, all the time simpely reading from a tome with the symbol of the ordo mallues on it
Sigismund brought his tack to the stable, Blanche still nibbled away at his hay, giving his master the evil eye for even thinking about interrupting his meal. While his horse finished eating the knight walked over to the fighting pit, loud laughing and the sound of huge bodies slamming into each other sounded interesting. Though when he arrived, it seemed that the astartes were only just finding their way to a pit. With his plate armour he didn't really fit in with the rest of the spectators there, but he hoped as they were all here to watch a fight no-one would really care about his archaic appearance. Once a ganger had made fun of his "shiny can", but a gauntlet to the jaw shut him up. Permanently.
Aspin had just arrived to the pit, followed by a Man in clad armor. Such Armor was new to the Inquisitor. Was it a custom Power Armor set? Was it even Power armor? The Inquisitor walked up to this strange man. He kept himself strait by putting both hands on his cane. "Excuse me, Sir. I must say where did you get the Antique power armor? Is it an Heirloom or had you built it yourself?". He continued to scan up and down the Armor taking in its brilliance.
Sometime later Jean had taken to exploring again. A ruckus in a nearby room drew her to it. "Hmm... The Pits?" She muttered to herself before checking the dataslate. Yup, this was the place. She entered slowly glancing around. An inquisitor? Now that wasn't someone you saw everyday. He seemed to be conversing, or attempting to converse with another. She wouldn't barge in, that would just be impolite. From the sounds of it there were Marines sparring, also not something you got to see everyday. Unless maybe you were an Astartes. Of course, being a Sororitas meant it wasn't exactly a common sight for her.
Sigismund spun round at being adressed, quickly taking in the individual before him all evidence pointed towards an inquisitor and so he took off his helmet as well. "Ser Sigismund, acolyte for the most holy inquisition. As for the armour, it is a an heirloom from my homeworld. The family custom was that the first son got our family's castle as an inheritence, the second received the harness you see before you. Though it has no motors or servos within it, it is quite light and I can move freely with it." Non-vital information perhaps, but inquisitors tended to want to know everything about anything.
