The Respawn System: Its Zogging Crap

Which option do you think has the most merit?

  1. A. Nerf meltaguns/meltabombs so that it takes longer, so that people have a chance to defend

  2. B. Make Transports lock down, so that respawning can occur. Extra durability.

  3. C. Increase Vehicle Lethality.

  4. D. Allow additional vehicles to be purchased using REQ / reduce timers for vehicle supply.

  5. E. Introduce capturable tactical objective spawns to the maps.

  6. F. Shut up, the game is fine, I like it this way and you wasted your time making this poll/thread.

  1. That transports getting easy killed is a problem of organisation

    First you need to find a good spot to park it
    Then you need at least 1 guy to protect the transport or better 2 guy

    This way your transport shouldn't die that fast

    I like the idea of capturing Tactical Points, like i remember Command and Conquer when you captured Oil Refinarys and you get more resources, like here you can spawn there or spawn more vehicles, air support etc

    Yep, okay, I agree with you, you have a slightly better chance with guards. Two guards, doing nothing, all game but watch people run up to the fun part of the game.

    Of course, as discussed, a melta can still kill your vehicle quicker than you can kill him. And then you run out of transports.

    Or, we scrap the idea of transports as magical spawn portals, and give that idea to bunkers around the map that can be taken and retaken easily and make transports purely transports

    To all the people posting melta nerf requests, these suggestions to reign in importance of transport spawns is the best way. Not nerfing a gun.

    Increasing vehicle lethality or anything that encourages high vehicle occupancy would be the worst possible option with the current game design. Lethal vehicles might be fun for an open world MMO with no player caps and enough open territory between bases to have tank battles, but it has no place in a match-based system with relatively low player caps and a game play entirely centered around capturing points in indoor areas. The last thing I'd want to see in EC is 8 people sitting in their vehicles for an entire skirmish match while the rest of the team tries to win objectives indoors 7 v 15.

    I really like the idea of secondary spawn objectives, but the easiest fix right now would be to make all players able to spawn at any transport without the silly squad limitations. That one change alone would reduce downtime by a significant amount.
