Im done. 40,000 requisition on the side that always loses, 10 hours of 90 precent losses to grind out because our store one is not ready to be shown. I finally get it, and what do I get? A disapointing short hop power attack on the click of an attack, no fast attack at all. Anyone that sees you at all has 2 seconds to move. The best part? Hit a dire avenger in the face, he ran away and shot me. No stun. bE has said this is pretty much the preview patch of launch. Well forget that. I just cannot believe how lop sided balance is. This is what killed warhammer age of reckoning. And you think the orks most iconic weapon is a bunny hop with a 2 week telegraph to the enemy. Thanks for the biggest video game disapointment in my life.
They said it was feature complete. That's not the same thing as balanced, optimized, and otherwise polished. Despite the team pulling doubles or more, I don't see how that's possible by the 23rd, pragmatically speaking.
They also said klaw is going to be one of the orks primary AT weapon and if it indeed works this way, it might be a counter measure to not make it as OP as PF was. Plus, I wouldn't expect balance from weapon that doesn't even have graphic on the icon.
I've just cleaned up with the Klaw against SM. Use the sprint attack, the range is obscene and it stuns. Sprint attack and heavy attack kills almost anything. Not just knocks unconscious. Kills outright. It's beautiful. Edit - it is very slow though. If you have other guys with you or you catch the enemy unaware it's a dream.
So here is how my battles with it go: Oh an ork with a p klaw. Well he can only power attack, so I will just fast attack with my knife/sword/mace/axe/OTHER marine fist and win every time. does that sound intended to you? Because fast attack has NO problems breaking our fist attacks.
Thats some god damn bullshit. In the tabletop, its always been anti infantry/MC. Its actually a crapshoot on vehicles. You cannot deviate it so far from GW's version, they would not ok that. And the rest of our melee weapons are garbage.
Yes and no... As a die hard Ork player for Table-top you have to remember that the Power Klaw is an INT 1 weapon. It is very common for normal nobz with powerklaws to get fragged by infantry in 1 on 1 combat and not be able to swing. I'm not saying it should be like that in EC, but its often how it plays out in the TT (unless you have a mob of 30 boyz to screen you that is!)
