  1. Don't come up with new terms for something you specifically don't like. Just disagree with him instead, please.

The "grand world" is total make believe as the reality is just a match maker standard BF4 style shooter with WH40k skin and hopefully larger player cap.

Whatever they say about post launch is in reality just hopes and dreams.

Sorry to be a naysmith but such is reality. Nice to get information thou, even if it just underlines the disapointments, still better then the vague "donno maybe" answers in the beginning.

You must have some serious insider information to make such bold statements.

"They can make it openworld whenever they like"

Overall do you really have to ask why you are essentially the official fanknight of the forums ?

  4. Thanks for posting the screen shots of the Plan!

I think it's a logical approach that will allow them the flexibility to expand the game to the best possible population size. Whether that is 100 v 100 or 1000 v 1000 doesn't matter to me. I just want it to be fun.

As for this 'fan knight' stuff... can I also join that cadre? I would much rather be identified and remembered as an optimistic, constructive contributor to a potentially amazing game than a negative, nay-saying person who offers nothing to the community but vitriol.

that's not a fanboy, a fanboy is someone that invent stuff out of nowere and create false expectation on the game, in fact there is no real difference between a fanboy and a troll (both only wait that you don't agree with their position for generate a 40 page discussion about why all the other are wrong and bad). the final result is an huge damage in the game and in the community. nobody need an army of yes man.

Doesn't this throw off the idea of the balance though?

Like, if we have instanced matches, we're going to end up with a BILLION space marine players in 'overflow' matches. Not a literal billion, but like, a lot of dudes.

Trying to think of a game to compare it to...Heroes and Generals I suppose? Everyone wants to play Axis on Heroesand General, so you get a situation where you have allied players getting matches immediately, but axis players just have to sit there and wait for their turn in the queue.

Also, orcs are supposed to have overwhelming numbers but weaker individuals. I remember that being one of the core foundational principles that we would have non-horizontal balance or whatever the term is.

How can the instance system allow for the orks to win if they're going to be evenly numbered with the space marines? Same goes for Eldar.

Quite the opposite, the game will be balanced if battles are instanced (at least numerically).

Nope, even f2p players with their ork boyz will have a chance against more powerful classes/races in the lore (like space marines), the game will be skill based, there is no room for skill if they intentionally make some classes way weaker than others.

So they've just thrown out the idea of non-standard balance is what you're saying.

Like look, I REMEMBER them saying that it would not be a 'perfectly balanced this gun on this side is the same as this gun on that side' game.
  9. If i dont want someone to be a fanboy and direct it at me, i have the right to ask him not to.

Not at all, they just never said "SM will be better than everyone else and we will balance that by doing X"
