100+ for the smallest of battles is plenty big so we'll at least have that going for us. Now we wait to see how seamless all of this turns out to be or how we transition between fights.
It depends, do you think waiting 3/4h like in the start of GW2 for having the opportunity to play on a map ( if you don't crash in the loading .. ) is a better option ?
Well considering i would rather wait even half an hour in the queue then joining the abomination that Edge of the Mist is im not the best to ask for GW2. On the EC side of things, well its more of having to do it, then me thinking of it as good. Ideally we wouldnt have queues for anything, ideally. But cause those cant be avoided by their currently available tech it seems its either starring at the screen as the queue numbers go down or playing EC even in some smaller form, ill take playing. As long as its well made and interesting ofc, thats where Anet failed.
hmmmm i only see the mention of out post and fortress....what happened to the other two size of bases, i know one was called strongholds, forget what the other one is
Either that or sitting there looking at the countdown timer, which in your opinion is a bad thing? To some extent, they're both the situation that you wouldn't want to find yourself in, but technology has its limit. Why? That only happens at launch or when there are too many players. No game, and I tell you no game has been able to handle a massive number of players logging in at once. Even WoW can't, their servers grasp for dear life whenever a new expansion comes out. Also like they said, they can just remove the boundaries anytime they want and make it "open world". But if their servers are not ready for such a heavy load, then all we have are lagfest and warping all over the place. Sound fun? It's good that they know their limit and take their time with it, rather than go crazy and die.
I'm stating reasons why Overflow maps are not that bad and you say I'm fan knighting? Where did I fan-knight? Overflow maps are common in MMO, because all MMOs have to go through a period (usually at lauch) when the numbers of players are too high for their servers, which usually results in people queuing, waiting and getting upset. Maybe next time you should read more about the stuffs you criticize first, then perhaps I won't have to bother you with my "Fan-knighting" again.
