Immediately after spotting the little, mishappen ork children manning the weapon implacements, and the Nobs approaching them, ready for battle, Isaiah's thoughts went a twofold path - on the one hand, he wanted to prove his perfection in melee for the true threats, but on the other, he dreaded the thought of these guns, slapdash and crude as they were, firing at beloved Elijah and his battle-brothers.

He decided to trust in his twin, and drew his chainblade and bolter, charging at the nearest melee Nob, firing his boltgun as he attempted to wade forward.

OOC @Uriel1339 @DeranVendar concerning vox beads, interestingly enough while I was in the middle of reading through "Fulgrim" (I reached half of the book now lol) during a battle captain of the 2nd Company ripped his helmet off and nobody was able to get to him since he wasn't replying the vox-hails, thus captains from the other squads thinking he was dead until they saw him personally So I guess it can work both ways.

<Attack - Courtyard> @Skarboy @DeranVendar @Uriel1339 @Grall_Stonefist

Having backed a bit and hunkering down around the buildings, human forces under Major's lead showed that they too absorbed some of the traits of their "mother" Legion and fought back with such precision that they would make even Imperial Army regiments under Guilliman's leadership jealous. Only few of the warriors from Veletanis cohort fell but they reaped a heavy toil among the Greenskin ranks, slaying many aliens with both lasfire and strikes from power axes and even blowing one of the Trukks apart. Mason himself led with example, his axe cleaving a bloody path through the Xenos as they came, him suffering a number of wounds but it didn't look as he would stop any time soon.

Despite a number of Lootas seeing Davian standing up and peering out of the building, they failed to hit him and a number of rokkits blasted around the hab block or flying over it, but none managed to score a hit. Davian on the other hand was precise and unleashed a salvo of his own. Heavy bolts struck Stiglitz body frame, half of the bullets managing to get absorbed but not every single one and Devastator saw as the explosive rounds ripped apart one of Big Mek's arms. Ork himself howled in rage and fell down the hatch of his tank, disappearing out of sight as "Munchy's" main gun lurched around and fired, missing the building where the 5th squad hunkered completely and annihilating the one behind, killing nothing but rubble.

Before Kill Blasta's crew could recover, Elijah popped out and a kark missile flew through the air, hitting the left track dead in center, blowing it apart and rendering it useless thus making the big tank unable to move any other way other than on its axis (due to right track still being operational) plus blowing up chunks of its armor and a number of its guns. Due to the hab block which they occupied being only 2 floors tall and the parking lot itself was five floors high, Denatus failed to hit the artillery piece in the distance although he scored a hit on the 5th floor's makeshift barricades and managed to blow up two heavy shoota nests manned by a number of Gretchin.

However their victory was short-lived as a number of distinctive howls of engines could be heard on the wind and a mob of Orks equipped with crude jump packs came flying from the top floor of the parking lot onto the building where the 6th squad was located, the sudden devastation brought by Denatus probably riling the Greenskins up. They crashed through the already damaged ceiling and dropped straight on the Emperor's Children, killing two members of the 7th with their landing. They were led by a big Ork armed with two chain choppas and with a strange contraption on his face that completely covered his skin, giving him look of some sort of a robot.

Unfortunately, Elijah was closest to him and the Nob smashed his blades into the Devastator, the blow so fierce that it threw him from the window and into the street below, breaking ribs and shattering armor in the process. Elijah landed somewhere between the humans and advancing Orks while his launcher landed a bit further off to his left. As he regained his senses, he saw six Ork Boys charging at him, intent on ripping him apart with their cleavers but if he could be grateful for anything, it was that "Munchy" was unable to move or else it would probably run over him since the Kill Blasta was close by, although it's not like the guns on it stopped working and even now, the big gun was slowly rotating backwards towards him...(OOC you can kill 4 Boys charging at you and recover your missile launcher with your next post).

Denatus saw all that and he managed to bash a stormboy's head with his weapon as the leader Nob turned his attention on him. The creature tried to speak but the voice that came through its apparatus was sounding something like he was trying to blow a balloon or "koooooooooooooh" In any case, it wasn't trying to turn off the candles and instead, the mechanical device started wheezing and it unleashed some sort of a green acid attack that washed Denatus in corrosive liquid and making Nob look as if he just "spat acid fire". Devastator felt as his armor began to melt especially around his arm joints and his skin blister beneath while a pair of other Stormboys seized the opportunity and charged at him (OOC you can kill 2 stormboyz with your next post and attack the Nob if you wish).

The only one who suffered no injuries was Davian who was closest to the other three surviving Marines from the 7th as they fought to push the Stormboyz back with some success although not without casualties as one of them fell on the ground, his head cleaved off while the other lost his arm.

Seeing the incoming enemy, the Emperor's Children dropped all attempts at moving with stealth and opened precise fire, killing a number of Orks even before they got close. Theo and Hadrian both stood side by side and fired at the incoming Burna boys, both of the marines killing their designated targets which exploded into balls of flame which took two more Greenskins to their fiery deaths before the rest came in range and retaliated. Theo was assaulted by a Nob with a custom burna weapon, which was in fact two normal burnas and a shoota mixed in one weapon. "Youz killin mah boyz, pinky humie! I tell ya, thatz just rude!" it shouted and washed Theo in combination of promethium and bolts, annihilating parts of his shoulder armor while one of his arms caught on fire forcing the armor to melt and fuse with the skin. (OOC you can kill the Nob with your next post)

Hadrian didn't fare anything better as a duo of Burna boyz moved in to burn him (OOC superior writing skills by me ). The flamer weapons spout fire and Assault Marine was engulfed in it, his jump pack catching on fire and the fuel for it went critical, blowing it up from his back and taking out pieces of his backpack, effectively making him the most battered warrior of the 6th squad at the moment. (OOC you can kill these 2 Burnas with your next post).

Arnock's flying path led him straight through the Orks and on top of one of their Nobs, an ugly specimen armed with a giant cleaver. Sadly for him, it availed him to no good as the Assault Marine, carried by the momentum created by his jump pack, smashed into the Ork and sliced its head clean off in one fel swoop. Such was the ferocity of the kill that a nearby mob of boys was simply stunned by it and they failed to even attack Arnock, supidly staring him with their green faces. (OOC you can kill 3 boys with your next post).

Isaiah also managed to wade forward by shooting with his bolter and thus allowing himself to get closer to the Nob. Chunks of Ork's flesh flew off but the creature was as sturdy as they came and in response, he swung a choppa of his own, which looked more like a big hammer, and caught Isaiah on his shoulder guard, spinning the Marine around and smashing him against a nearby wall. Isaiah dropped on the ground and the Nob followed, stepping one ugly foot on his chest and rising its hammer high, chuckling as he was about to drop the weapon straight onto Job's head (OOC you can kill this Nob with your next post).

On the other side Caphen fought with little success as his attempts of slaying a dozen of Orks failed due to either him being unlucky or still inexperienced. He only managed to slay two Boys before one of the Burna boyz caught him with a smash against his head, the meaty fist still packing enough punch despite facing ceramite armor. "Youz guna die now humie!" it laughed but fell dead soon after as Mikael provided covering fire and helped his brother. Still, two of them were now deep into Greenskin bodies and none of them managed to get through without injuries. (OOC each of you can kill 2 Ork Boys and 1 Burna boy with your next post)

Before the head of the Nob could hit the ground Arnock was upon three more enemies. With smooth movements and speed each fell, nearly in unison, to the ground holding their throats that had be split open.

He would waste little time savoring the kills as their was more tests to be conducted. He quickly moved back to the Nobs and with quickly and precise attacks attempt to claim more lives.

Backside Infiltration
"Terra take you all!"
The destruction of his jump-pack, and the damage to his armour, threw Hadrian forward towards the orks. The Assault Marine (technically now a Despoiler) drew his chainsword with a flourish even as he crashed into the stone. Rising to his feet, feeling the battered power armour start to run down, Hadrian charged at the two Burna boys, slicing the head from one and then driving his chainsword through the stomach of the second.

Pulling his chainsword back out Hadrian used the bolt pistol he still held to open fire on the ork Boys, intending to split their attention and make them easier to wipe out.

As the acidic gas flowed over him, his armour immediately began alerting him about its dangers, then it ate through his helmets filter system and some of the joints in his armour, he could feel the acid biting into his skin and it made his 3 lung do a start brash up wit the need to filter out the acidulous air.
And feeling of indignent rage washed over Denatus as he realised that if the acid did bad damage he could never become high standing with the primarch.
As the stormboys advanced, he first drew his bolt pistol in quick motion and shot the first of them strait through the eye, the bolt detonating the brutes head, he saw he dident have time to shoot the second advancing ork and instead swung his missile launcher once more, its heavy sturdy frame connected and brained the second ork.
he then dropped the the missile launcher so he could rip off his helmet, it was no real use anymore with the filter broken, it was not like it was a foggy or dusty planet.
His skin now exposed to the quickly dissipating acid *breath* he saw the nob once more.
"You will pay for this" he said as he raised his pistol and drew his combat blade, firing bolts at the nobs thick head.

As if a majestic veil had fallen over Davian and spared him damage despite fire erupting all around him, part of his cover even blew apart and tumbled down into the street leaving him exposed yet still unharmed, the astartes marveled at such a feeling of invincibility. Basking in it even as his brothers suffered or fell face turned to stone like a god's stern visage overseeing all in its domain and finding it all so very awry; he must meet out punishment. Mind registering a different arcs of fire at once he looks upon the fallen Job brother and realizes there is little he could do to honestly stop 'Munchy', it had taken all their efforts to save Fifth Squad and as Elijah had pointed so readily pointed out earlier...greater picture must be adhered to. Turning about heavy bolter swam through the air before its muzzle hovered in place and found the Nob.

"I'll settle for your carcass until your boss decides to show his sorry face again. " Eyes narrowing fist sized bolts began to stream out and toward both acid spewing greenskin and his mob, looking to chew the whole lot of them up and save the rest of his brothers despite a small tingling of doubt and regret in the back of his mind that Elijah may very well meet his end down there.

OOC: Heavy Bolter Head Hunting on Nob is a go go!

Theo Tried to block the flames as they came at him by trying to limit the damage by turning to one side. his Right pauldron taking most of the heat as he felt the fire wash over him as the flames stopped he tried to return fire before the shootas of his custom shoota bark slamming home into his left pauldrons bolts finding there way through his left pauldron exploded annihilating his pauldron.

Rage and pain filled him as he fired his bolter one handidly at the greenskin rage flowed through him as his other arm grabbed his chain sword. "GOING TO PAINT THIS BUILDING RED WITH YOUR BLOOD XENO!" Theo Roared as he began zigzagging run towards the nob rolling to dodge the flame. Shots finidng there mark came at the xeno managing to land it self in the xenos arm causing its aim to go off as it returned fire at Theo, his bolter eventually ran dry in his charge and to burnt from the flames he couldn't reload it dropping it to his belt.

With both hands on his chain sword he came down striking the nobs hands causing the ork to loose his hands from his weapons Kicking the ork back he went sliced from the groin upwards to bisect the ork into two causing blood to spray as he took out the ork nob. "FOR FULGRIM AND EMPEROR!" he roared with rage in his voice as he kept up with his brothers and went back into the fight.

In a moment of unceremonious practicality that Isaiah would come to hate himself for, he raised his bolter and emptied his magazine into the Nob's head, not only stopping him from killing the Job, but also utterly annihilating the greenskin's skull. Falling over, luckily not atop the Child of the Emperor, the Nob lied dead, freeing Isaiah to stand up and keep up the fight, his vengeful chainblade slamming one last time into the hulking beast before it sought out new Orks to slay. He moved towards the normal boys, attacking them in glorious melee.

Elijah growled loud and looked over at his Missile Launcher, glanced at the Orks and back to it. Then he remembered wise words from not just anyone. 'But you assure me that you do not think too much before pulling the trigger, Elijah'. "I shall not disappoint you, brother." He said to himself, drawing his Bolt Pistol while getting up. Shooting in salvos of three, he managed to down four Orks.

One lucky blast obliterated the head of one, sending him skidding on the ground as half his head was gone. The next one got first staggered by three shots in the chest, before getting one blow to his head. How did they survive three bolt shots with so little armor?! Insane... Then the next was shot in the kneecap, causing the Ork to tip over, roll on the floor and trip the other ones, too. Quickly the Astartes retrieved his Missile Launcher, moving backwards.

But they were running up to him again and just upon him when they got there. That is when fellow (borrowing some of your men, @Skarboy ) Auxilia soldiers, still relatively far away from the Astartes, rose their rifles and covered the demi-god, blasting the Orks apart with blasts right into their eyeballs, scorching through the brain and causing instant death to the Orks. "Blessed aim, soldiers. Now take the fight to them! Annihilate them as soldiers of the Imperium, the Emperor and Fulgrim!" He attempted to rally the humans in the distance with his Vox at maximum volume. While making sure the missile launcher was operable. Yet... What would he do with it? Attempt to aid his brothers back in the building? Aid the Solar forces against the incoming Orks? Or attempt to destroy the Tank once and for all?

The tank... The other squad had to take care of it. It was pretty much inoperable, they could simply jump on it, throw a grenade in the hatch and be done with it, as Elijah did not notice that it actually primed it's weapon not on the advancing humans, but him. His brothers? His missile launcher could do more harm then good and he was no good close-combat fighter as his twin. Facing the horde it was, and so a Frag Missile made it's way into the tube.

Combined effort of the Emperor's Children marines saw to that that the most of the remaining Greenskin force collapse and die, the black blood spilled and washing the interior of the parking in gore. Arnock managed to slay the last Nob which threw the surviving boyz into disarray, some of them being quite easy pickings for the eager marines. The victory was near but as usual, just as you thought you won something happened that totally ruins your plans.

There was a huge blast and the ceiling of the 3rd floor broke, piles of rubble falling all around and creating a huge gap in the structure. But what came next was much more worse for riding on top of the blast and basically doing a "cool entrance" was a trio of Ork Meganobs, each looking bigger than the other. It was a bad luck that found Mikael right below the explosion's epicenter, the rubble showering his body and pinning him down for enough time for one of the Meganobs to drop on him and basically flatten the Tactical Marine alive with its heavy armor, turning him into a paste.

"Brothers, do not falter!" Sergeant Callus shouted as he was busy bisecting one of the Ork boyz, who like the rest of the mob got invigorated by the sudden arrival of the trio of big Greenskins, "Push the fight to them and kill them all!" Easier said then done, as two more marines who were close tried to charge at the Meganobz only for them to die under a hail of bullets.

Stormboy Nob charged at Denatus and the Devastator opened fire, however his shots despite impacting on the monster's mechanized skull were absorbed or caused not enough damage to stop the attack, although the Nob didn't do any more acid attacks so perhaps Denatus did manage to break something up.

Its mad charge hit Denatus dead in center and one chain choppa was buried into his chest while the second was raised above his head following what was supposed to be a decapitating strike. However a number of bolts impacted on Nob's body and ripped its arm apart as Davian's marksmanship proved to be superior in this case, him helping his brother while also killing a number of other Stormboys in the process before one of them managed to get in close and cleave at him, leaving a deep gash on his left arm. (OOC you can kill couple of Stormboyz with your next post, in the end there won't be any left )

While that happened Denatus was left with a hole in his chest and a Nob which swayed on its feet, ready to be executed properly. (OOC What is actually funny is that due to rly bad rolls, I thought of once again cutting @Grall_Stonefist 's char's arm, but that like happened so many times now that I felt bad and restrained myself from being once again a bloodthirsty GM You can execute the Nob and kill couple of Stormboyz if you want, but you won the battle with them and the only enemy left is on the ground atm).

On the ground, things were going quite different as Elijah's voice was lost under the sound of Munchy's main gun opening fire. Being so close to the epicenter Devastator was thrown flat on the ground once again as the shell whizzed mere inches above his head, his helmet and shoulder pads blackened by its mere passing. For a moment he went deaf and he could only watch in silence as the Solar Auxillia lines were broken and the soldiers thrown into disarray (and air ) by the huge explosion that raked their ranks. The driver of the last surviving Rhino was unable to move fast enough and the transport was blown up with such ease that made nearby Orks cheer.

While lying on the ground, Elijah felt as number of impacts riddled his armor and he was forced to crawl into cover so the few remaining Lootas lose the track of his position. There, as he slowly regained his hearing back, he saw broken form of Major Mason Bragha, who lied on the ground nearby holding to the stump where his right leg used to be. Number of Orks Boys were also advancing on his position followed by the last Trukk, however he then saw more Emperor's Children Marines running from outside nearby building and opening fire, preventing the Greenskins from overrunning Elijah's position and executing him. They also tried to attack the Kill Blasta but so far, it proved ineffective as the remaining Greenskin force was tightly packed around the big tank, thus allowing no attackers to go unpunished.
