Caphen scoffed at how Palatines had been destroyed by these savages. 'I shall show them a true swordsmans edge' he thought to himself. As he ever dreamed of being brought into their ranks. As for tactical acumen, he was just as capable as the next astartes, but he was a swordsman and duelist first and foremost, so decided to not give voice to any opinion he had.
It was still an odd sensation to have earned a compliment from one of the Astartes, one of the Emperor's chosen warriors. While the Solar Auxilia were hailed as the greatest cohorts of the Imperial Army, they were just that. The Imperial Army, the mortal warriors who until the Crusade Groups had finally begun to range out and separate into the great Galactic unknown, had been used as reserves. The normally gruff Brahga had accepted the compliment with a stiff bow, unsure if saluting a superior outside of the Imperial Army was acceptable. As the Emperor's Children planned out their next assault, the Primus spent his own time getting the lay of the land among his soldiers. If only the Third Legion had some of their jetbikes around, surely the Greenskin anti-air units weren't fast enough to track those. His Cohort was sorely lacking in the heavy weapons department, not even a mortar among his men to pressure the Orkish stronghold. "Whatever they decide, it'll be a bloodbath."
"I agree with Elijah and Davian, the auxiliaries are here for a reason." Denatus said, being pretty much on the same point as the two other devastators, but of cause, them carying the heavy weapons also meant they had to be more tactical of mind.
Isaiah looked at his brother and nodded. "I concur with the Heavy Support specialists", he said, not willing to admit that he did not have much of a mind for tactics. It had always been Elijah who was the tactical Genius; compared to him, Isaiah could barely cobble together basic strategy. His gift was in individual combat, not planning.

Remember brothers, we are not World Eaters to throw our lives casually only to revel in bloodlust or employ cowardly tactics like our cousins from the Raven Guard. We are Emperor's Children and our task is outdoing both our enemies and our friends in whichever they think they are best in. We strive for perfection because only like that can we be closer to the Emperor's ideals, He who is beloved by us all, and prove to others why are only we worthy of carrying His aquila on our chests." "Major Bragha, you will lead your men down the main street and attack the Ork courtyard head on with two of our Rhinos assisting your push. Try to kill as many of the Orks as you can, maybe even blow up one of their artillery guns but your main task is to get the Greenskin attention. Once you do that and force them to barge out of the parking lot and get to you, you will retreat down the street from which you came and lure them in between two buildings where our Devastators and the elements from the 5th and 7th squad will remain. Once in perfect position, you will spring the trap and slaughter the Orks from three sides (2 buildings and the street) and bring an end to them." "While you are doing that, I will lead the remaining force and use the other two Rhinos to reach the back of the parking lot and assault the rear. We'll push through and deal with the guns above. Now go and get ready, we are moving in 5 minutes." <Attack - Courtyard> @Skarboy @DeranVendar @Uriel1339 @Grall_Stonefist The force was eventually separated and while Sergeant Callus went with the infiltration group to attack the Ork building from behind, the rest of the 6th as well as this part of the 5777th Solar Auxilia Veletaris cohort was left to do their own task of assaulting the enemy. While Davian, Elijah and Denatus alongside 5 more Marines from the 7th squad were positioning themselves in the hab block on the "right" and the entire 5th squad was hunkered down in the building on the "left", Major Bragha was besides his men down on the street, they waiting on his call to advance upon the enemy while 2 Rhinos brought the rear of his advance. "Remember brothers," Victor spoke as he went through the last checks of his gear while the designated building slowly loomed in sight, "Once in, we move quickly. Dispatch the enemy as fast as you can and advance, don't stop to admire your own skill. Our objective is on the top floor of the building and we must get there as soon as possible in order to stop those artillery guns from firing on the primarch. Stay in team and watch your brother's back. Execute this properly and there might be a bright future for you yet." Theo was in back of the Rhino readying himself for the next battle checking over his own wounds and damage to his armor trying to estimate how long he could be in battle without falling. Looking over to his brothers he could only guess the amount of wounds they had taken. Shrapnel from the orks weapons were likely still inside him and would likely need to be removed after the mission. He began estimating then how many green skins he would have to take out to get back at the Xenos.
Backside Infiltration Uncomfortable in interior of the Rhino Hadrian took the time to assess his shattered pauldron. Slowly the Assault Marine began rotating his arm, seeing how much movement he was allowed. Huffing in frustration when a sliver of shrapnel began to dig into the meat of his shoulder Hadrian paused in his test. It wouldn't do to do something that might leave the strike force a man down, ruining the perfection of the entire assault.
