Centre Quick as he could, Isaiah moved forward to engage the Laeran Infantry - furiously slicing at them with the intent to carve a path for the martian adept. Yes, other parts of their force were under attack as well, but his task was to protect the Techmarine, and just that he would do.
Rear guard - "Providing support fire on the larger brood as I move." Theo said over the Vox as he took aimed with his bolter and moved behind Davian. Taking careful aim at the large Laer he fired and moved back wards with the large party of his brothers. Planning to keep up with his brothers plans.
Arnock took out his bolter in one hand and began to fire. He did not like having to switch to range weapons, but his brother made sense and the greater plan was more important than his wants. He took aim on Laer infantry and began to lay down supressing fire.
<Vanguard> @EvicusDasan1 @matt23 @Uriel1339 @Grall_Stonefist As the battle started, Caphen and Denatus were in the first lines while Arnock and Elijah stood couple of feet back, although since there were many aliens it all went down to bloody melee soon after (OOC each of you can kill 2 Laer fighters with your next post). Elijah's missile took out couple of melee oriented aliens, blasting them into little pieces. Seeing the threat, the Laer Heavys opened fire on him and the laser projectiles pierced his armor with ease, wounding him further. Why was no one helping him? Is he supposed to eat the most damage once again and save his friends? Apparently they thought so, but they didn't even thank him. No, this was the truth - they knew he was the smartest of all of them and had the greatest potential to advance within the Legion, so they wanted him dead and out of the picture! Traitors, how could they do this to him!?! Arnock also managed to snipe couple of fighters before he too suffered from the enemy ranged attacks, his armor ruined in couple of pieces around his shoulders. But what was even worse, he could see couple of holes on the standard, the vile aliens shot at it as well! He would fail the Legion and his Father and why? Because none of his brothers respected what the banner ment to him and the true Emperor's Children. His brothers were weak, self-centered and arrogant, only looking for their own glory and not seeing past their own vanity. He was better off without them. He waded into them and began hacking, but much to his dismay, he only managed to slay two aliens before the others surrounded him and started hacking at his armor. Interestingly enough, Assault Marine's power armor held and Hadrian suffered only couple of minor cuts and bruises. But look that Isaiah, he can't kill anything, and they call him the Flawless. He was so much better than this clown and his annoying brother and he should show them all just how good he is! Isaiah fared even more poorly in attack as he only managed to kill one of the infantrymen before he was hit from the side by a flyer, the alien slicing at his arms but failing to do much else than scoring a shallow cut below Isaiah's left elbow. Perhaps spending too much time with lowly swordsmen like his squad mates affected his skill? He should be better off without them, for how could he find glory in these tunnels filled with crap and waste. And look how Hadrian is looking at him, he must be laughing after seeing he couldn't kill more than one alien... It quickly turned out into a battle of attrition as the rest of the Emperor's Children with the Techmarine in charge fought with great savagery, the aliens simply falling beneath them but whenever one died, two more arrived. Stun grenade went off and the first Crusher staggered, enough time for the Devastator to riddle its big form with bullets and drop him on the ground. More Laer died and part of them were also slowed, the experimental ammo doing its intended job. They retaliated and ranged fire hit Davian couple of times but not doing much damage. Everyone followed his tactics, even the idiot Sergeant did, so why shouldn't he become a leader of this squad when he was so much superior than the rest? If only something was to happen to Caphen... On the other side, with the help of the other Marines Theo took out another of the big aliens, the slowed creature falling as its head exploded, once again dying with the scream of pleasure. He should definitely study their corpses, who knows what kind of secrets do these aliens harbor. He must loot their bodies and quick before someone else does it and steal his discovery, probably that Fabius guy, old crooked marine will probably take everything and call it his when it was Theo who discovered it in the first place! This train of thought nearly got him killed as he failed to spot a Crusher bearing down on him, its twin swords cutting through his armor and hurling him down the stairs. Elijah roared across as he stumbled back and bumped into a railing from the heavy fire, but he would not go down easily! No he would show them he had talent and prowess. Perhaps not in melee, but his aim was undeniable, so were his wits! He shouldered his Missile Launcher and would bring death upon those laser-blasting forsaken insectoid creatures of this world! And he would take them all down with a single shot if he can! The Missile Launcher got loaded with a very special missile as he aimed on the structure right below the feet-claws of the Laer. Arnock let out a loud roar as soon as he saw the fabric get blown away in a few places. He placed his bolter back on his back and drew his power sword, "You will all die. I shall rip your still beating hearts from your chests and stuff them down your throats!" He charged into the group of melee Laers and swung his sword wildly, trying to kill everyone within the room.
Laeran Atoll - Center The mass of enemies was working to keep the two melee experts separated, each existing in their own little bubble. Ignoring Isaiah Hadrian swung his axe in a figure-of-eight pattern, pulling out a bolt pistol with his free hand and opening fire. [OOC: Attacking Laer infantry with power axe and bolt pistol]
Centre The angered marine let loose a cry of sheer rage, both arms moving quickly to further slay Laerans. Somehow, he had to progress, so he wouldn't lose to that... Hadrian. Isaiah increased his speed, trying to push through the horde and kill them all single-handedly. [OOC: Attacking Laer infantry with the Falax Blades and activating Fury of the Phoenix.]
<Rearguard> Davian would simply have to continue proving his superiority, already enemy dead were heaped upon his feet. More importantly any failure that be birthed from the others' inferiority and inability to carry out his plan would simply fall on Caphen. "Get down to the second level already you lay-abouts!" Davian strafed his frost bolts across the line once, twice and thrice more forming a misting wall of chilled flooring and sluggish limbs. As he finished third volley a krak grenade was primed and put in flight toward the alien monstrosity assaulting Theo. "COME ON! " OOC: Heavy boltering with frost rounds at general alien horde, krak at the crusher attacking Theo.
Rearguard- Theo was moving forward towards the dead before he could even get his narithicanum in the dead Laer and before he was able to get to its weapons he felt a sword slash push him back cutting into his chest place. "Dam-" was all Theo was able to say before another hit dug into his chest plate and scarring his chest, downwards in X leaving a scar in his armor and on his chest before Theo was hit with the blunt end of the Laers tail and thrown backwards. Flung past Davain Theo landed behind him. Rage was filling the apothcary as he still held onto his bolter. Going to get his samples after all the pests here were dead. Jumping back to his feet he raised his bolter in rage Davain already covering him with the Laer that hit him he spotting another crusher heading towards them. For a moment Theo thought he heard a laugh come from the xenos. Raising his bolter in rage he aimed towards the Laer as he loaded a frag into his grenade launcher and had it aimed towards the hoard as he took aim at the crusher. "YOU WILL REGRET THAT XENOS!" he roared with rage firing his bolter upon them aiming at the crusher As he kept to Davian's side. OOC Frag at horde and Bolter fire at a crusher.
