"What son of Fulgrim would let another fall to filthy xenos," he said as he separated a ork's head from shoulders. He then hit the top of another's head and the chainsword roared all the way to the stomach, "The name is Arnock and your skills are not to bad yourself." He extended his hand and returned the shake.

The Primus would see the Orks off from this skirmish, shrugging off the tears and punctures in his armor (and the flesh beneath it) in a mad dash to the front line. By the time he reached the head of the 5777th, he had them organized into firing lines to give the Greenskins a proper farewell. Disciplined volleys of lasfire chased after their green hides, Brahga barking out for ranks to continue firing until the Orks finally left their range. From there the Terran was once more on the move, checking the wounds of his soldiers, who had fallen, various states of disrepair, and ensuring that specialist weapons of the fallen made it into new hands. There was no stopping for an Primus of the Imperial Army. No doubt by the time he was done, the Emperor's Children would be ready to move on and he had not fought this hard over the years simply to be left behind in the dust.

"Lord-Astartes, we're ready to continue the Ork hunt. On your word we'll send them runnin' with tails between their legs another time."

"Good to see you as firece as ever, Brother Hadrian", Isaiah replied with an invisible smile, looking around to make sure they were not about to be ambushed by foolish xenos. He was confident that they were more than capable deal with anything these brutes could hurl at them, but battlefield attention was part of the drills ingrained so deeply in his brain. "Are you damaged beyond pride and armour?", he asked, as he turned his back to Hadrian, pulling out his bolt pistol and shooting at a few of the fleeing orks, taking a small number of boys out as he did. @Avenging-Angel

@Casavay | "If I am damaged in flesh it must only be a scratch. Emperor knows that's all the orks can accomplish!"
It was easy for Hadrian to laugh away the wounds concealed beneath his torso armour as it was his pride that had truly been hit the most. Still, he wouldn't be ungrateful to the Apothecary who tended to him after the battle, if only so he could rush back to the fight to teach the orks the folly of attempting to belittle a warrior of Fulgrim.

Chasing after their enemy with generous amounts of heavy bolter fire Devastator chewed through legs and ankles of fleeing foes, crippling movement so that others could finish off their helpless foe and maximize kill potential. Gory pageantry of flying limbs, novas of blood radiating from wounds gouged out with explosive force and rhythmic thumps of bodies dropping with howling cries of anger even greater than what pain was experienced.

"Hmmph....took longer than I expected, yet still disappointed it's over so quick. " Hopping down from a raised trench crest Davian carted over heavy weapon, arms swinging lightly as he let its weight carry him forward rather than slowing himself trying to heave it after himself. Approaching Primus Brahga space marine stopped briefly. "My respect Primus, your men do an impressive job of keeping pace with ourselves, you do our lord proud I imagine. "

@Avenging-Angel | "Indeed! An inferior lot, these beings and what passes for fury among ther misbegotten kind!", Isaiah shouted, pleased to see his battle-brother rebound from a failure - something that was important on the road to utter perfection. He and his beloved twin had both failed many times in their lives, but never given up, and that was the reason both of them were avatars of war on this battlefield right now; the lances of fire produced by Elijah did not escape the other Job's notice.

"Yes Sir!" Theo Said as he pushed himself back up and jumped back to his feet. He put his chain sword to his belt as he saw the green skins fleeing. Grabbing his bolter he began firing on the green skins who fled, walking a bit slower then usual as he took aim and fired.

He felt rage and a bit of pain from being kicked in the "Pride" by the mongrel Green skins. He would make them pay for that and not finishing him off. He was thankful though for there sergeants assistance in finishing the green skin before it finished him. He took aim putting bolter rounds into the back of green skins while they fled taking pleasure in not letting some more of them escape.

As the final Greenskin died or ran away, Sergeants gathered their designated squads around them while an Apothecary covered up some of their wounds before he went and gathered progenoid glands from the fallen warriors. "We have lost the 9th squad," Callus said with sort of a finite tone that was neither sad or angry, "Thirteen dead Emperor's Children in total, one Rhino and two dozen Palatines. I don't know about you, but we'll make the Orks pay for it. I have received message from Captain Valerion that the Greenskins are pushing from all sides on us which means our diversion is working. Lord Fulgrim will soon attack and we must capture those artillery pieces before that so he doesn't walk into a trap. I expect all of you to tighten up and continue with your performance, which for some of you needs more tuning and practice. Remember, III Legion expects nothing but perfect display of skill."

Leaving them at that, Sergeant ordered them to advance and this half of the 19th Company proceeded forward, continuing past the garden and into a series of hab blocks towards their objective. They didn't have to look for it that hard, only a mile away from their current position they found the place where the Orks had set up their big guns.

It was somewhat large building five stories high but quite wide with open levels, looking as if it used to be a parking lot or maybe a motor pool. Each floor was bristling with various guns and makeshift barricades, classic Orkish manufacturing making them look crude but efficient. There were 6 big guns in total, four of which were located on the top floor of the parking lot (and currently out of range), packed somewhat tight while a series of anti-aircraft guns were placed around the top floor preventing aerial support from doing the job. Two final guns where interestingly, placed at each side of the parking lot's courtyard with a score of little Greenskins running around between them.

Shells and various rockets were carried from the parking lot and into the courtyard to those 2 artillery pieces while most of the Orks were either trying to man the defenses in front of the building or staying on one of the floors, peering out and holding heavy weapons facing outwards. There were also couple of trucks outside bristling with guns but it was quite possible that there were heavier vehicles inside the parking lot which were currently hidden out of sight.

Emperor's Children and their human allies were hunkered down in two ruined hab blocks opposite this parking lot, each building only 2 stories high which meant that they didn't have real good line of sight on the opposition while the remaining Rhinos were parked in a side street, ready to kick in when needed. "Alright, look at the situation," Callus pointed at the heavily fortified parking lot and then turned to his squad, "This time, I want to hear your opinion on this layout and how to best proceed with our current forces in order to complete the objective while minimizing our losses and maximizing theirs. Think fast. Go!"

OOC Enemies (those you can see):

Outside the parking lot (like a mini-courtyard with barricades): 2 artillery guns & 50 Gretchin running around them (Horde), 4 Ork Trukks, 30 Ork Boys with shootas and choppas, 10 Lootas (Veterans)

Inside the parking lot: various barricades on all 5 floors with guns facing outwards, ??? number of Orks but at least a dozen heavy weapon emplacements with both rokkit launchas, deffguns and so on.

Top floor: 4 artillery guns, 6 AA guns, 80 Gretchin (Horde), 10 Lootas (Veterans), ??? Orks

    Friendly forces: 27 Marines, 65 Human soldiers, 4 Rhinos with mounted storm bolters;

    Arnock:12 Mikael:9 Denatus:13 Theo:10 Mason Brahga:9 Isaiah:14 Elijah:13 Davian:11 Hadrian:10 Caphen:12

"Anchor elements of our auxilliary and heavy weapon units in front of their bastion, either get up to their barricades and use them against them while our own big guns nest in the buildings. We are taught these xenos are a blood thirsty lot and are plenty willing to charge headlong into danger, I would be willing to bet a great number of them would be glad to spill out and face us as well were we to suitably antagonize them, perhaps by capturing or destroying their artillery stuck in open field. With a firm anchor set our Rhinos laden with assault and tactical elements can hook around back through the cover of nearby buildings and hit one of the flanks, break their way in and begin purging the building from within and working topside while our enemy has moved to engage the lures out front. Can convert it into an ambush even, devastator elements hold fire until the Auxillia have done their job then have them withdraw until our foe is under fire from three sides, though that does increase the risk of enemies pouring into our own firing nests. If our enemy refuses to shift we can divert our forces into a three side assault, perhaps utilize those cannons if they're intact and start blasting chunks out of their anti-air defenses and wall mounted emplacements when our soldiers are clear of any areas risking debris rain. " Looking around among his brothers he sought their approval as much as that of their Sergeant.

"I agree with Davian. Less casualties, more effective. And making use of our Auxiliaries, too." Elijah gave his variation of Davian's plan. Keeping it a tad shorter and less relying on the Auxilia forces and Air Support. He looked over to Isaiah, his mind was probably more on his brother anyway than any planning. And his tactical mind was not required, and... The responsibility of protecting one brother at all times was enough responsibility at this time.
