Not replying to his Captain, Isaiah instead only listened and took the earliest opporutnity to arm himself alongside his fellow brothers. He did not speak to the newling, not out of arrogance or hostility, but merely because he felt that the best way to learn of a man's heart was battle, and to battle they would ride soon enough. He'd grown quieter since his humbling at the hands of Angron, less inclined to smile, the intentionally shoddy job of this... this bonesaws of the World Eaters marring his form and pride simultaneously. Instead of laughing outwardly, he'd been privy to just remain quiet, seething as he did. Silently, his grey eyes cool, he armed himself with his battle-won blades - blades he'd gotten some practice with by now, but that still felt strange to use - and his spear before finally attaching his bolter to his hip and joining the side of Caphen, nodding towards his Sergeant and turning his head to look for his twin. EDIT: Ammo: Hellfire, Dragonfire. Grenades: 2 Kraks
Golden Eagle The appearance of a new squad member interested Hadrian for barely an instant, the Assault Marine more concerned by the assignment that had been handed to them. They were the most rounded unit in the company, an example of how different troop types could work together, and being kept away from the rest of the 19th was an insult to all. Descending to the Golden Eagle's Armoury Hadrian selected his power axe and bolt pistols, giving all three weapons a quick check, before turning to the racks of ammo clips and grenades. Taking two frag grenades he stood pondering over which clips to choose, finally reaching out to grab a clip of Dragonfire and a clip of Metal. [OOC: Ammo: Dragonfire & Metal. Grenades: Frag*2]
@Valonox Theo nodded to the captain as he there orders, Feeling guilt he wondered if it was because of what happen to Rylanor last mission, or the Ork artillery that got to fire off from the mission before or the incident with the Xeno in the temple that got them assigned to there point. Theo knew Denatus had weight in his words and heard some weight with Arnock's though the honor they gained them back in the tournament and the ultramarine challenge could have helped balance it out for some of them. A part of his gut churned painfully for thinking he failed Rylanor for the decision before he put his own weight in, Pushing it out of his mind Theo went to grab his equipment amazed to see some of his work used in current experimental equipment his mood changing and the pain in his stomach vanishing. Grabbing two experimental acid grenades along with a Krak and a smoke grenade he put it to his belt, Going for a metal storm, and Kraken round Theo made sure to be ready for any situation As he received a stock of stimulants and medical supplies Theo made sure to have extra vials for taking samples again before grabbing the rest of his kit and making sure his grenade launcher was attached. His bolters loaded and chain sword readied on his belt along with his combat knife. The apothecary was ready for another mission. Theo exited the armory hearing his brother already chatting about why they were sent to this exact location. "Matters not were we are sent, Just that we get the mission done perfectly, Let us take these orders as if they were from Fulgrim himself and complete the mission so we may rejoin with the rest of our company and show the captain we can handle whatever mission he throws at us and survive without issue." Theo said as he looked to his brothers. As the conversation went on he noticed the new recruit. "Welcome young brother Gerbertus to sixth squad I am Theo Basix, the Teams apothecary." Theo said looking to there new member. OOC - 1 Clip Kraken, 1 clip metal rounds, 1 Krak 1 smoke
<Deployment> @DeranVendar @Uriel1339 @Grall_Stonefist @Vulpas @EvicusDasan1 @Casavay @Avenging-Angel @matt23 @Valonox OOC @Valonox you can grab your gear (the stuff I wrote in my previous post where I tagged you) on the run when you drop in After getting their gear and ammo, the 6th squad left the armory and entered the hangar. The place was bristling with activity and movement as the entire 19th Company was getting ready for war. All of them would be deploying via ten different Thunderhawk gunships, while Captain and his honor squad alongside the support vehicles will be going in with their Company's Stormbird. Their separation on the ground and the overview of the plan did leave a foul taste in the mouth of every member of the 6th, but it was hardly unexpected for some of their superiors to hold grudges. After all, this was the Emperor's Children legion and vanity ran in their blood. Once the signal was given, everyone found their place inside their transports and the outer hull doors of the "Golden Eagle" opened, unleashing the might of the Emperor's Children. As they traveled through the void and into the upper atmosphere of the blue planet, they saw many other similar gunships blazing through, coming from other space ships. It was a glorious sight, at least 300 Marines were deploying that day in the single strike and this was once more a proof that nothing can actually stand against the Emperor's gene-forged warriors, no matter how advanced a race was or not. It was all breathtaking and awe-inspiring, many remembrancers back aboard their ships would write great sons and create exquisite pieces of art following this first strike, but the truth would soon turn out to be much different. Laer, with all their alien fury, didn't really share the opinion of the Imperial citizens and couldn't care less about Fulgrim or his legion. They were waiting for the intruders and they brought all their guns to bare. Klaxons rang as their Thunderhawk lurched to the side, the anti-air fire coming from below extremely dangerous and precise - many gunships exploded on their way down even before reaching the target. Their own ship also ate couple of hits but the plating held on. Soon after, the vox burst as the confirmations came in that Captain Demeter and his men touched down on the atoll, making them the first Emperor's Children down there. Soon after, more cries were heard and they knew their own Captain Valerion also got down there alive and well. As for them, the pilot soon zoomed in around the atoll and went past the AA guns, reaching the side of the floating island. "Target in sight," he called back, signaling all of them to stand up and head to the exit ramp. "Opening fire now," Thunderhawk shook as the main cannon fired and blasted the side door apart, opening the entrance for them. "Entrance made. Opening ramp now. For Fulgrim and the Legion." Thunderhawk's ramp opened and the side entrance was right in front of them, a narrow waste tunnel wide enough for perhaps two of them to walk in at the same time. They had to jump to reach it but it was close so nobody of them would have any problem doing it. There were no enemies in sight, although the darkness of the tunnel didn't look that much inviting. OOC okey, free post to jump in and head into the darkness, basically its one way tunnel that goes up filled with all kinds of waste and shit. Enemies will greet you next time I do post
Laeran Atoll Unlimbering his axe Hadrian activated the weapon, striding towards the Thunderhawk's ramp with a contempt-filled glance at the rest of the squad before lumping from the transport. The light given off from the crackling disruption field barely illuminated anything and the Assault Marine snorted in annoyance. "Anyone else joining me? Or would you rather stay on the Thunderhawk?"
Theo Readied himself as he jumped off the Transport behind Hadrian. "I Shall be right behind you brother. Best have me in the middle to tend to wounds we may acquire." Theo said as he readied his bolter. "Want me to use my light on my backpack to help light our way?" He asked Caphen as he looked to him.
"arent you supposed to be in front anyway Hadrian" Denatus answered the impatient Assault marine, as he followed after with his rad missile launcher in hand, though it was curretly just cycled to a normal frag missile.
Laeran Atoll @Grall_Stonefist | "Funny. I thought that the unit leader was the person we should be following." Hadrian glanced back at Caphen as he spoke, his opinion of the sergeant not improving, before continuing. "But it seems he hasn't left the Thunderhawk yet. Someone has to take charge."
Elijah stepped out of the air-vehicle with the Missile Launcher on his shoulder and took a side-position to play rearguard. There was much going on, on this world. And here they were, assigned to a side-tunnel stealth attack mission. He wasn't sure whether it was because they really could make a difference or because their Captain wanted them dead and have none of the glory that was being won in the meantime elsewhere. Either way, this squad had to prove something and was eager about it, as long as that force could be projected at the enemy and not themselves they would succeed. He steeled himself with the wisdom that Korda left him with when he received his bionic leg upgrades from him, as well as from the book of the Thousand Sons. It felt awkward.... To learn more and be more interested in the cultures of others than your own. To strive for perfection was a formidable task and one that the older Job would not shy away from. But it appeared all the other Legions had found something they truly believe in and hold high and are very specialized in. What was the Emperor's Children could offer the Imperium? Cocky and whining leaders that are too good to get their own hands dirty and bet lives over far too risky bets? It was a strange sensation to say the least. In silence he took his position and awaited orders, not wanting to get involved in the discussions at hand as they were irrelevant to him. Special Stuff: Spoiler Basic Equipment: Combat Knife Bolt Pistol Missile Launcher Melta bomb Enhanced Bionic Legs (IH Upgrade) Requisitioned Grenades: 1 Frag Grenade 1 Stun Grenade 1 Smoke Grenade 1 Blind Grenade Requisitioned Missiles: Frag Missiles Krak Missiles 2 Concussion Missiles (Anti-Building) 2 Haywire Missiles (EMP) 2 Flakk Missiles (Anti-Air)
Arnock saw the opening they were to enter and quickly wrapped the standard around the pole, holding it in place with his hand that no putrid or other shit would desecrate their standard. He lept from the ramp and enter the dark passage with the others. He, unlike some of his brothers, felt it best to remain quiet, especially when behind enemy lines. His power sword was drawn in his right hand while the standard was still held in left. He would not dare let the standard go in a place as unclean as this. To even think of such foul things on the standard of the III Legion made his stomach turn.
