Caphen merely chuckled and smiled not wanting to antagonize his squad bound nemesis. "Trust me, nothing of the sorts shall happen again." The sergeant was pleased so far and surprised that his brothers were giving him one more chance as he turned to Isaiah and the others waiting for their input.

Proudly displaying his own signed parchment from the Ultramarine's Primarch upon his heavy bolter's side just behind its trigger proper Davian greeted Caphen with a dubious look that didn't exactly speak of total faith or disappointment.

"Swear you will hone your tactical acumen so our actions aren't wasted. If you do that then I've only one personal request and it's that you will lead with some degree of tact and respect for our brother legions. I recall our previous Sergeant's remarks about the Iron Hands just before our departure and frankly it made his passing a good deal less saddening. Don't be a twat and you've got my vote basically. " Nose wrinkling as if subconsciously lamenting such crass language Davian smirked a touch in spite of it, sometimes vulgarity was a pleasant release.

Arnock did not seemed to be as welcoming and forgiving as everyone else. He looked at the sergeant with a bit of contempt, but luckily for all the looks he had, they could not be seen as he still wore his mask. He merely thumped the pole of the standard on the ground as if to say 'so be it'. Arnock was not one to forgive or forget so easily. These so called changes that Caphen claims to have gone through would have to be proven in battle and not by mere words.

Theo looked to his brothers again as he heard Caphen's speech and remembered Rylanor and his reaction to the mission, "Alright, Caphen you have my trust to hold command still. But when we take to battle can we take in account all of our thoughts to work as a single group perfectly before acting so we can make sure we fight perfectly together as a squad? I believe if we use our Vox link in battle we can keep each other updated as we move and fight together and warn each other of what we are about to do before we do it so the rest of the squad will know what that member is doing.."

After leaving Ullanor system and saying their goodbyes to their newly met brothers from the other legions as well as their new Warmaster Horus, the Emperor's Children and their 28th expeditionary fleet set course to resume with the Great Crusade once again. They set a course towards an uncharted area of space when their scout vessels encountered an alien species calling themselves "The Laer". They rejected any terms to surrender, claiming that their society, contrary to the fledgling Imperium, was perfect and as such, above the rules set by the Emperor. Fulgrim raged after hearing this, claiming only the mankind is perfect and thus the Cleansing of Laer began, a campaign that would have far reaching consequences on the III Legion, who none of them could even begin to guess.

Imperial officers claimed that, since the Laer were confined in one single solar system, their planet being completely covered in water and the aliens lived in mix of underwater cities and on great atolls that floated above the sea level using strange gravitation technology, that such campaign would take at least couple of years to be concluded, given the fact that they also had advanced weaponry as well. Fulgrim said the Emperor's Children will do it in a month.

"Alright men, listen up," Captain Mano Valerion addressed the gathered squads and their sergeants, all of them standing on one of the embarking decks of the "Golden Eagle". "As you know, Lord Fulgrim ordered the assault on the world below. The 19th Company was given a great honor to, alongside 2nd Company under the lead of Captain Solomon Demeter, spearhead the assault on one of the atolls. Brothers, we must not fail the Illuminator for such honor is rarely given to those outside the first ten companies. We will deploy via Thunderhawks and as for vehicles, squads of jetbikes and couple of rhino transports is all we are bringing because the streets on the atoll are quite narrow and usage of bigger tanks is impossible. Our task is to secure the grav-engines in case the Laer try to sabotage it and bring the island down and after it, secure the beachhead and a base of operations for the rest of our troops to deploy. Sergeants, you have your tasks - prepare your men, we are leaving in an hour."

Crowd began to disperse and Captain Valerion's honor squad oversaw the proceeding while he waved Caphen and his squad over. "Sergeant, brothers. You heard what is happening and you know what is our duty. Your task however, will be a bit different. Your squad will deploy via separate Thunderhawk and while we are fighting, enter the floating island by a smaller side entrance below the western wall. From there, you will make your way inside towards what we believe is one of the generator rooms from which we are receiving strange heat signatures. It could be anything, so I want you to check it out and secure it."

"Any questions? Oh yes, I almost forgot," Valerion called out to one of the nearby Space Marines, by the looks of him a fresh battle-brother. "This is Brother Gerbertus (@Valonox ) and he is the newest addition to your 6th squad, he's one of the newer warriors so treat him with respect."

OOC once you are done with talking, you can head to Armory to get your gear. Each of you can get 2 ammo choices (Hellfire, Kraken, Stalker, Dragonfire, Metal rounds) and 2 grenades (frag, krak, stun, smoke, incendiary, blind).

@Vulpas - you are getting additional 2 acid grenades you made from alien toxin. However, since it's not volatile like phosphex these grenades won't do friendly fire.
@Uriel1339 - additional missile choices are: Flakk, concussion, incendiary, stasis, haywire, tanglefoot.
@DeranVendar - additional experimental ammo for you this time around:
- acid (anti-life, more potent than hellfire but less armor pen, made from the same stuff Theo created his grenades off)
- frost (freeze the enemy)
- electro (similar to what you used against Ultramarines)

Arnock cared little for Captain Valerion and anything he had to say that did not involve the mission. To think someone so imperfect could ascend to the rank of Captain. It was something he currently wished he could change, but alas there were greater things to be achieved. So instead of saying anything that would draw the Captain's unwanted attention, he decided to head to the armory.

Instead the armory he grabbed hold of his power sword once more. His hand against the hand felt like a hug between two brothers who had spend years apart. He took a few quick swings with it in his left hand before placing it on his right hip. He then drew his bolter and placed it on his back. He then grabbed two clips of Hellfire rounds and two incendiary grenades. It became very apparent that Arnock believed the quickest way to eliminate imperfection was through fire.

Simple enough a task in theory, nothing that left Davian wondering at what to do. Their newest member was promptly ignored, barely worth the atteBeing one of the first to take their leave and make for the Armory he finds himself with a pleasant surprise in the form of a fresh data slate detailing that, despite the conflicting results of their last mission, a general accuracy report marked Davian as trustworthy of testing out a number of experimental munitions. Taking to this as if it was an entirely separate objective and mission in and of itself he punched in an order for his back pack to be loaded up with a selection of Acid and Frost rounds along with its standard kit, as an afterthought he decided to also requisition a more standard series of Kraken rounds and Dragonfire bolts so there was something reliable to fall back on aside from normal fair. As servo-skull flitted off and Davian approached a second such levitating servant and sent it along to gather a stun and a krak grenade. Former had served them excellently against the enemy charge last combat while as per usual a krak gave him a chance of denting heavier vehicles or key targets.

"So Brother Arnock, how do you see all of this? The honor of being trusted enough to undertake such a mission ourselves, or they're just too ashamed to see us alongside the main assault and are throwing us off into a sump pipe where we aren't as likely to muck anything up other than ourselves? "I care very little for this Valerion who seems unworthy of the title he seems to wave around. I have a feeling he has the same feelings as I, so his intent seems to either keep us away or get us killed. What he fails to realize is that we -will- reach this target and kill everything in our path. Then should this 'target' prove to be something, it will be dealt with quickly so we can rejoin the bulk force...Or perhaps use the benefits of a small unit to gain entry into the heart of this xeno's city and tear it out. Perfection is what Fulgrim demands of his sons, and there shall be no shortage of it this day. I can assure you of this much brother," his confidence was borderline egotistical, but perfection is not something that can be achieved without confidence. Perhaps his hope was that some of his confidence would seep into his brothers' bodies, that they may feel as he does. After his words He thumped the pole of the standard on the ground, another confirmation of his confidence.

Denatus had picked up his loadout, though, he had made some specific requests from the armoury, given his earned honour on in the world eater arena, it had gorne through, witch was good for it was very needed.
His armour had come with a special mag lock on the back, and a small and inscribed box had also been there for him, within lied the true gift.
A few gravity coins, witch he promptly set to standard lift before placing them on special places of his rad missile launcher, now the launcher itself was easily more weadable, and could be locked to his back if needed, he couldent just drop it if he wanted to use his meteor hammer.
After that little escapade, he picked up his volkite serpenta, he couldent wait to field test the deadly raygun, and then his usual phosphex load out, one could never go wrong there.

as he completed his session of arming, he overheard Arnock and Davian speak, and walking out as a veritable armoury himself, Denatus joined the conversation, "i think you give very little credit to our captain and i think you forget that even though we have done much in some ways, we have failed gravely in others. I am sure you dont doubt Fulgrims intelligence in lifting Valerion to captain, and as far as i know, he isent just some file captain like Tarvitz" Denatus said.

Caphen reached for a nearby plasma pistol as he listened to his brothers bicker about different leaders. The Chemosian just smiled and shook his head.
