"Striking them down does the exact same thing, at least in this we show a degree of forethought. Mercy here shows we aren't entirely out for blood, could seed the thought that if they abandon this galaxy to its rightful owners then we can all be spared further loss. I don't speak from a place of love for these xenos but for the thought of our charges, of the rest of humanity. As Legion we were created to fight, conquer, kill and die. We will do this, we shall succeed and we've shown a great ability to do such. Our weaker kin, those whom lack the benefits of gene-forging? They are not so skilled. " Davian carried the argument on with an impassive expression, it was perhaps a fools thinking, but whether viewed as naive or a forward thinker it mattered little as he spoke his own case.

"And If they come at us with war, It will end the same way as if we killed them brother, We will face them and they will face us we did today, As brothers and strike down those that fight against us. Do you think we would do any less?" Theo asked his brother before looking to the xenos.

"Do not come after us with thoughts of revenge or revenge on our kind it will only end with more blood shed for your kind. Flee and tell others of your kind avoid us and our legion and brother legions." Theo said to the xenos.

He nodded his head to Davian agreeing with what he had to say.

"And you are one tough son of a bitch lad, I give ya that!" Iron Father laughed at Elijah's remark, "Running into a phosphex bomb like that and surviving? Damn, I guess you picked up something from your time with Rylanor and us! Probably those bionic that you have helped a lot! That reminds me, when we get back aboard "Indestructible", when the Apothecaries are done with you come by my workshop, I might be able to give you an upgrade or two. Not that your artificers did a lousy job, it's just that it's a fact - when it comes to working with artificial limbs and systems, there are no better artisans than us of the Iron Tenth!" (OOC he can definitely beef your legs up to give you more health and shit. Think about it to be your possible "item" reward for the mission).

"If I would have not absorbed some of the blast radius... I am not sure what would have happened. When in combat, I cannot think of anything but ensuring those around me are safe. It is my role as a Devastator to stop the enemy from destroying my brothers." Elijah could not help but smile with pride. It was not Rylanor, nor Fulgrim who complimented him. But even a commander of a foreign legion! Surely, that was even more impressive.

"I will see to visit your workshop, it would be a great honor. And I must admit, in hindsight, it might have not been the wisest decision. But nobody died on our side, perhaps it was because of me, perhaps it was not. But the possibilities matter little, as I feel I have protected others, that is all that mattered, Iron Father. By the way. This might be a bit personal. But. I always wondered about Lord-Primarch Ferrus Manus' iron hand. Having learned of the bond between Fulgrim and him, and how close our legions are, I should perhaps attempt to learn more about our fellow warriors... And who knows how long they are going to take." He gestured at the tower with his head.
  5. Caphen stared at Theo for a moment for a moment he was angered by the apothecary for trying to make a decision without the go ahead from his sergeant. He looked at Theo just long enough to let him know this without speaking a word before turning to the xenos.

"Before I make my decision...tell me what the signal was for. Why were my brothers lives lost trying to determine its origin and meaning? I want answers." Caphen remained stern and with his helmet on.

"Ferrus's iron hands? Bah, that's always a thing younglings like to ask me! But there is not really much to tell, for I haven't witnessed the moment he got em. Like all of the senior Iron Fathers, he too entered the Lands of Shadow in order to commune with the spirits of Medusa so they could judge him worthy and perhaps give him a reward or two. And instead of a reward, they sent him a proper challenge in form of Great Silver Worm Asirnoth. The battle lasted for days, the beast impervious to all harm but Ferrus eventually managed to slay it by drowning it into hot magma. And once he pulled his hands out they were not destroyed but covered in living metal. That is also one of the reasons he can craft items of such beauty and power, all of it done with his own bare hands!"

"But I was told you are a young brother, so let me educate you a bit on how exactly the friendship between our two primarchs happened in the first place," Korda replied and began his tale, quite enjoying the fact that he was the one telling it for spreading the truth and the old ways was something that was a part of his position as an Iron Father.

"It had been beneath Mount Narodnya, the greatest forge of the Urals, where the primarchs had first met, Ferrus Manus toiling with the forge-masters who had once served the Terrawatt Clan during the Unification Wars. The Primarch of the Iron Hands had been demonstrating his phenomenal skill and the miraculous powers of his
liquid metal hands when Fulgrim and his Phoenix Guard had descended upon the sprawling forge complex.
Neither primarch had yet met the other, but each had felt the shared bonds of alchemy and science that had gone into their making. Both were like gods unto the terrified artisans, who prostrated themselves before these two mighty warriors as though fearing a terrible battle. Ferrus Manus would then tell his warriors of how Fulgrim had declared that he had come to forge the most perfect weapon ever created, and that he would bear it in the coming Crusade."

"Of course the Primarch of the Iron Hands could not let such a boast go unanswered, and he had laughed in Fulgrim’s face, declaring that such pasty hands as his could never be the equal of his own metal ones. Fulgrim had accepted the challenge with regal grace, and both primarchs had stripped to the waist, working without pause for weeks on end, the forge ringing with the deafening pounding of hammers, the hiss of cooling metal, and the good natured insults of the two young gods as they sought to outdo one another."

"At the end of three months unceasing toil, both warriors had finished their weapons, Fulgrim having forged an exquisite warhammer that could level a mountain with a single blow, and Ferrus Manus a golden bladed sword that forever burned with the fire of the forge. Both weapons were unmatched by any yet crafted by man, and upon seeing what the other had created, each primarch declared that his opponent’s was the greater. Fulgrim had declared the golden sword the equal of that borne by the legendary hero Nuada Silverhand, while Ferrus Manus had sworn that only the mighty thunder gods of Nordyc legend were fit to bear such a magnificent warhammer."

"Without another word spoken, both primarchs had swapped weapons and sealed their eternal friendship with the craft of their hands!"

"I told you before mon'keigh, the signal was never meant for you to pick up. The signal itself was this child's call for help. It is due the malfunction of the gear were we unable to shut it off because if we did so, none of this might've happened!" Analea replied.

Elijah just sat there in pure awe and fascination, listening to the passionate history of their both legions. Certainly, he got some of the knowledge indoctrinated either through hypno-therapy or actually listening to his superiors. But to hear it from Korda made it a thousandfold more important, stronger and leaving a far stronger impact in the heart of the young Elijah Job.

"Astounding. That a common ability can forge bonds of brotherhood, greater than anything else. Thank you for the history lesson, Iron Father. I think I will rest up now and let you see to your duties, before I owe you not just my life, but my equipment, too. From rumors I always heard that the Iron Hands were rather cold and calculating, like the priests of Mars. But you, you have shown me the entire opposite and taught me a lesson I once preached but have forgotten." He bowed with his upper body as good as he could without further injuring himself.
  8. "Do not cross the Emperor's Children again....be gone from my sight witch." Caphen replied. He would spare the child and Analea this time, hoping he would not come to regret it.

"Strongly suggest you either find another way out or leave once the lot of us have departed already. The sons of the Gorgon and some of our own squad won't be as merciful as we. " Looking part ways away from the witch Davian eyes up Caphen. "Brother-Sergeant, we have an explanation for all this? Dishonesty is beneath us but omitting certain details isn't exactly lying. "

Arnock glared at the two xenos with as much contempt as he had within his body. "I will tear you each limb from limb -when- we see each other again. This sergeant or this squads' voice of reason will not be able to stop me, so I suggest whatever it is this child is meant to do, you do it quickly," he whispered in the witch's face.
