"You are right, Isaiah.... It... It just hurts... Not the physical pain, the lack of... Brotherhood. I feel still that nobody can be trusted but you." He growled in pain, not letting a whimper getting out of his lips. Hearing the speech of Caphen he could only agree.

"Together we stand... Divided we fall... Brother-Sergeant." He chimed merely in, summarizing the short speech up in a simple sentence. Finally being sat down on the steps of the Ziggurat, near the Iron Hands he waved his hand at Isaiah. "Protect the Sergeant, at least he appears to be one we can trust and rely on, Isaiah."

"Iron Father." Elijah started, looking up to the giant of an Iron Hand. "I would like to apologize... Our failure in protecting your brother... Serving with Isaiah, my twin... I know the bond of brotherhood. And I could see and feel how close you and Lord Rylanor are... And I know nothing can make it up." He exhaled completely, trying to relax in order to allow his body to recover better, before continuing. "But one thing I know for sure... Without your aid, we all have died, and that you prevented that. We all owe our lives to you and your men. From Emperor's Child to Iron Hand, I simply wanted to speak my gratitude."

"I shall see to it, beloved brother", replied Isaiah after dropping off Elijah with their Medusan allies. Saluting the still somewhat distant Iron Hands before rejoining his Sergeant, the Job gave his brother one last, worried look, before entering the Ziggurat with the rest of his brothers.

Mimicking his brother Davian, Isaiah too removed his helmet in the face of these xeno. Yes, they were despicable creatures that made a mockery of the human form, but on the other hand, he had to concede that they had been the aggressors, and the young Astartes was not certain how willing he was to slay children, xeno or not.

He still kept close to Caphen, not daring to violate his brother's request - for his first brother was a wise man - and watched the aliens with care, one hand resting on his chainsword, ready to draw it if the need arose. But, with his cold, grey eyes not moving from the remaining Eldar, he voiced his support of Davian: "I concur. We should prevent further bloodshed here, when it seems we have a common foe."

  3. "What is the young one doing here witch?" Caphen asked gesturing towards the child. @Colapse

He agreed with Davian and Isaiah, but they needed to find out what was going on first.

More interested in the alien corpses, and the weaponry they had wielded, Hadrian tuned out the eldar woman's bleatings. Picking up a whip, a feminine hand still clutching the grip, the Marine made a few practice swings against one wall, casting the weapon to the ground in disgust after a few seconds and moving to rejoin the squad, drawn by their conversations.

Arnock walked forward, still carrying the banner and with Blood dropping down his leg, and stopped before the child. He looked to the others, "And would we be shown the same jeaster? Do you believe they would spare your life if you laid bloody at their feet? Xenos do not have honor! Their illusions of a perfect world are without humans." He pointed at the child, "This child shall grow and become just another Eldar scum. When it does and it kills our brothers because it's life was spared, who then does the blame fall to? The wolf for killing or the Shepard who spared its life as a pup?" He then looked back to the rest of the group as he heard a set of words, "Common foe? Common foe?! The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy! Just because they were weak does not mean they should be spared."

"Yet that is not the situation we're in Brother Arnock, we've the choice here, we've the superior stance. It falls to the Brother-Sergeant's hands but I think these two would make a fine example of how the sons of Fulgrim handle matters. We need no xenos aid, we're better, we're stronger. We know it. " Davian held himself a bit higher speaking honestly, allowing witnesses to spread the glory of Fulgrim's legion seemed a fitting reason to him, let fear drive the misbegotten creatures from the realm of man. Regardless of his own thoughts though finger was still coiled stably about weapon's trigger, beholden to Sergeant's will.

Theo made his way up the temple with his brothers, He would not leave them, But with the wounded stabilized he knew they would be good hands. As he entered the temple, he saw several xeno weapons that he secured to be analyzed along with the toxins they likely held, Even grabbing odd weapons that reformed it self into a blade poison tripping off all that would be analyzed to make antidotes for his brothers and grabbing samples of the xenos for a look of there genetic makeup.

As they made there way into the last room, Theo looked to the farseer trying to protect what looked to be a child, For a moment Theo almost thought it was a human child only to see it was another xeno, "As he heard his brothers speak on weather to kill them or not he found himself thinking for a moment.

"Let us make a example of them of them by letting them go, Let there kind know the warriors of Fulgrim, As slayers of all those that would try to trick them from there path and use them. As Davian has said we are not world eaters but the Emperor's children slayers of greater foes."

As Theo heard Arnock he looked to him. "Yes Arnock, But we are neither the Shepard or the sheep, We are the swordsmen and you think twice before you fight a swordsmen or his land or kin, who was able to defeat you when you had the advantage." Theo said looking to Arnock. Both his chain sword and bolt pistol were in his hand.

"No need to apologize lad, this is alien's fault, not yours. Remember all those brothers you lost this day and know that it's the eldar's fault. Of all the Xenos we have faced on our Great Crusade to re-conquer the worlds of mankind, these creatures are the most devious ones. They trick and lie and in order for the Imperium to be truly safe, we must eradicate all of them, burn their lairs and destroy their cities. Only then will they get what they deserve. Suffer not the alien to live."

"As for gratitude," Korda spoke and waved off, "Forgive me, but that's just plain nonsense. We are maybe of different legions and our methods and traditions maybe differ, but we are all united in one purpose. You are our brothers and we couldn't let you die as we couldn't let another Iron Hand die. We are in this together and like you said to your brother before, only standing together can we achieve our greatest goals."

"Little one ended up here not of her own choosing," Farseer replied, "But because she was taken away from us. That is why we came here, to save her. She represents the bright future for our race, a shining beacon and a reminder of a time lost. She is the light, she is everything we used to hold dear made manifest and our fallen kin came here to steal her and then to corrupt here, to torture her and laugh at our misery while doing so. She is a too precious gem in this dark universe and I beg you, leave us be. We will leave this place and never return and I promise you you won't see us ever again."

"Spoken like a poet. It appears not only your armor is made out of the finest materials... Your words are too." The helmetless Elijah said with a soft smile, the Iron Father was a true inspiring figure. "You are wise as you are tall!" He joked, chuckling at his own joke till he coughed, his body not liking the shaking movement of laughter. He hit himself a bit in the chest in attempt to make it stop.

"Nonetheless, I am not yet sure whether we have achieved victory, or if we shall declare it a failure. We have won the battle, but what do we have gained? ... Our squad is even more thrown apart... Our champion has fallen... And we still do not know what the signal is about... But as long as we are together, we shall prevail." He had a bit of difficulty seeing the positive right now, but still he smiled, having looked from his hands again up to Korda.

"But I am certain that conflicts like these will grow us further to the Warriors we aspire to be. It is when the greatest darkness attempts to consume us, that we have the opportunity to shine the brightest. Like stars illuminate the darkness of the void." Elijah said it more out loud to hear those words himself, to nourish his spirit and steel his mind.

"A symbol to rally around and wage war. Do you see now that she can be let go? This witch admits the importance of this child. Would you want to give the enemy something to wage war behind? Why else would the other xenos risk so many to find her?"
