The perfect balance patch....

    I think we'd all be happy with...

    -Reduce Autocannon/Abaddons Grace damage by 10%
    -Reduce Eldar move speed (or hp) by 5%
    -Reduce Eldar transport move speed by 10%
    -Remove Melta bombs from Fire Dragons... Or atleast double melta bombs....
    -Some small nerf to plasma cannon (maybe down an enemy but not outright kill them?)
    -Possible accuracy buff 5-10% for all ranged weapons?
    -Remove Melee lockon...
    -Buff to knives...?
    -Reduce melta damage (all races). Seriously, 3 seconds to take out a vehicle... way too strong.
    -Reduce cooldown for Las Cannon

    = Happy Player Base...

    While personally I think the autocannon's ok enough as is, as most the major kills I get with it are due to headshots, I guess a 10% nerf wouldn't harm it too much for anti-infantry, as long as it got a slight buff to anti-armor as well so it better filled the in-between role of HB and other guns. Right now it's anti-armor seems less than stellar compared to, well, meltagun, plasma, hell even lascannon

    1) Over9000 games i never see Autocannon.
    2) 5%HP? Rly?

    5) Plasma is ok. If you can't counter spawn killers it's only your problem.
    6) Add acc mod for weapon, and 60 bullets will be like a laser.
    7) It's panacea?
    8) For what?
    9) All melta users must "lick" rhino or tanks for "3sec kills". It's honest price for that TTK.

    Start slow,
    Remove Lock-on, and see what happens with Melee vs Ranged and go from there.

    AS an Ork player, I say no to these. Totally unnecessary at this point.

  6. Again with the melta nerf...

    Meltas have to get close to you without being shot down or run over, this difficult if someone is paying attention to their minimap (because everyone sprints in this game). If you are not sprinting it takes a long time and you can still be seen and killed on the way. It is damn near impossible to do if you are driving.
    Meltas also have to rely on their bolt pistol/cheese knife if they encounter infantry. Both of which aren't great. If you argue that they can use a rhino to close the gap, that argument isn't valid. That means it takes a rhino and a melta to kill your vehicle, not just the melta.

    Honestly I think the biggest thing to tone down the melta abuse is going to be to remove the Fire Dragons speed bonus. It's stats are identical to the Tactical melta, so it's just as tough, but it walks waaaay faster, enabling it to keep up with a vehicle it's melting for a lot longer. Melting tanks shouldn't be easy, and it isn't, unless you are playing FD.

    You guys crack me up with these "remove melee lock on" suggestions. You would literally have to remove the jump assault classes with this suggestion as they would more or less become unplayable.

    Ranged damage simply needs to be buffed to have a decent chance of killing melee before they engage. Ranged damage is currently way to anemic. Currently it is too easy for melee to close the gap before ranged damage is able to be of a threat to them.

    I think in order to get the balance right, we need to have ALL data laid out side by side to compare. We really need to get a wiki going. I was trying to get some data the other week but it is such a pain in the arse and time consuming working with screen shots on Steam.

    1. Or reduce the DOT, but yes reduce the effective damage.

    4. No, it's their one job.
    5. Small nerf? The AOE damage needs to be reduced quite a bit actually IMO.

  10. Imho we should start slowly.
    - Make sure all animations work properly. This is the first point. Too many times I still try to d-bash and nothing happens. The whole rock-paper-scissor game is not screwed by lock-on, but by the fact the RMB cannot be interrupted.
    - Nerf plasma cannon. That thing doesn't have to remain in the game as it is and there are zero excuses. Period.
    - Nerf melee damage but keep lock-on.
    - Nerf the melta bundle because that thing can literally oneshot vehicles and this shouldn't happen at all.

    This is more than enough to bring things on the right path.
