  1. "Duties? If you expected me to continue maintaining this Vault after everything that happened, then you should have told me that before I took a wrench to the radio station." he told Bagles, crossing his arms and leaning back nonchalantly, "that thing is going to be out of commission for quite some time. Even longer if no one fixes it...I ain't finxin' it."

With the idea of Bagle's sign being brought up by the doctor himself he grunted, and just scowled back at him. This why Tony hated having to owe people anything, they'll always try to take advantage over you and have you dance around for their amusement. So what, the doctor patched him up, that was his job as a doctor, not just some good samaritan work on his part. And Tony kept the doctor out of the firing range when they were fighting the Raiders. If anything the doctor owed him. He put his ass on the line in the front of the group to shield the others -even if it was really to protect Aggy in his mind. They both did what they had to do, big whoop, did he expect a medal from it?

"Going out there on my own to put up a damn sign of yours? Why should I care if someone from the outside wanders in here and gets mauled to death by Mirelurks? As far as I'm concerned, the bastards that attacked us are the only type of 'people' out there. And if they get torn apart by monster crab claws then that just saves me the trouble of having to hunt them down myself."

"If I was to be perfectly honest, I'd say we abandon the Vault all the together. Take everything we can too survive out there, lock our dead away, feed those damn raiders to the Mirelurks and we just let the damn crabs lose through out the Vault. Anyone stupid enough to wander inside this death trap after that deserves what would be coming too them."

Darwin's smile wavered at this. Not from Tony's abrasive reluctance, but by the news of smashing the Vault Radio room.
'Why would he do that? What advantage would this give him or disadvantage it would cause to others?' He thought quickly.
"You misunderstand. I was hoping you'd accompany me as I set up my sign. You'd be more of a guard or emotional support. I've read that "fresh air" is therapeutic. However, my research has indicated potential levels of radiation and dangerous wildlife. Better safe than sorry. It's mine, and I'm sure other's, intention to someday return to the vault. And if not us maybe the next generation. It's good to have a story to tell the young ones, give them hope... Wait a tic, why did you destroy the Radio? I have half a mind to report you to the Overseer for this, but under the circumstances I'm sure you must have had your reasons."
  3. "You don't need to report me to the overseer, I broke the damn thing right in front of her." he retorted, feeling rather smarmy at the moment, "and as for why I did it...I just really wanted to smash something. So I found a Raider, and I started beating him to an even bloodier pulp. But after being shanked by the bastard I really wanted to smash something."

He scoffed and looked away from Bagles at the moment. Bring more people to the Vault he says. Yeah, okay. And then what. Wait till they're attacked and slaughtered again? Tony had no plans on using the Vault ever again. It was compromised once, whose to say it was going to keep them safe. There was too many dead bodies for them to consider the place safe. He sure as hell wasn't going to clean after this mess.

"I would hate to see any preceding generation of ours strung up and used as chew toys for a bunch of sadists. And I sure as hell ain't telling them stories of us being ransacked by a bunch of blood thirsty psychopaths with no brains in their skulls! This Vault ain't protecting anyone anymore. I'm not even sure if it even was protecting us in the first place. Feels like a god damn death trap now, and certainly looks like one at the moment. I have no intentions on wandering these halls again, not where I can point out exact locations where our people died. This Vault is a grave site, there's no living to be had...there was no LIVING to be had here anyway. All we are is waiting out our lives in this place. I know sure as hell I was, and I was getting damn near the end of it too."

Agnes Larux had a headache. A slow, pulsing headache, borne of stress, and fear. And possibly dehydration, though somehow, the woman doubted she could fix it just by drinking water.

She feared the outside. More than almost anything else. But one of the things she feared even more was the concept of her good neighbours falling to strife. When life was confined to such a little space, such a peculiar microcosmos, the social structure was the very foundation your sanity was based on - to lose it was to lose everything. At least that was how Agnes had always rationalised her dislike of people fighting.

"Dad... Mr. Beagles. Please... We're about to enter... I don't know, some kind of new world, and it doesn't seem like everything's peachy keen, considering those... people that live out there. Can't we just... try not to fight? At least until we've made our way out?"

Darwin was starting to loose patients with Tony by this point. Not because of his answer or attitude, but becuase of He openly admitted of sustaining yet another serious injury. The chances of him not bleeding out and missing his vital organ defied belief. While his anger mounted, Beagles more analytical self worked in over time.
'The overseer didn't care that the radio was destroyed? Trying to cover her tracks or simply unable to keep Larux senior in check? Both worrying... Is Agnes crying?'
The sound of Agne's pleads snapped Darwin back from autopilot. His hands having clenched, white knuckled, around his sign. Made of wood, but still capable of causing a concussion if applied to the scalp.
"Tony, some of us live on more than anger and regret. People have to have hope and a little curiosity. This is a big change for us. We've all been effected by this, you included, but especially the young. Half of the middle aged are no where to be seen. How we see this is crucial to the moral of the community. Going out there with only suspicion and hate isn't going to help us. There's only one group of surface dwellers I want to see punished for this, and those are the ones who left a trail for us to follow. Rememeber, we're not so different from them, but we should aim to be. Now do you want to help the situation or continue to be difficult? We're a community, we help one another, it's what we do." Beagle's said calmly before moving closer to Agnes to inspect her.
"One never realizes how thirsty they are until they're drinking water. Here, take this." Beagle hands the cook purified water. "Everything is going to get better. You'll see."

Gratefully, Agnes nodded thanks to the nurse and took a long sip from the drink. It did not help immediately, or maybe at all, but the younger Larux was more appreciative of his words than the charity, anyway.
  7. Tony looked at Agnes getting upset and was getting kind of upset himself. He hates seeing his daughter like this. And it made him feel worse that he was partially a cause of her distress. He got close and put an arm around her shoulder.

"Alright, Aggy. Alright, I hear you. Dad will try." He tried the best he could to calm her down. It hurt him more to see her like this then any physical wound he could suffer. He wanted to make sure she was calmed down, that she was feeling better. He took a deep breath and looked at his daughter.

"I'm sorry Aggy, everything's just...been taking its toll on me. I promise I'll try to help everyone to best of my abilities. And I'll...try to get along with everyone better. If it'd make you happy, I'll try."

Ruby appreciated the idea of a picture of the group in front of the Vault as a ... sort of keepsake .. a memorial? But she didn't have a camera, so all she could offer Darwin was a smile. It wasn't a very good smile, but it was there and the normally cheerful Miss Lee began to feel just a little bit more energised.

"I don't know what will happen," she said, to everyone really, though looking mostly at Agnes, "but I know we are resourceful people, just like our ancestors were. We'll make it.!

Ruby took a last look at her home and prepared to move out.

Jimothy (@DeranVendar ) and David (@Avenging-Angel ) decided to remain back at Vault 41, just as failsafe. They already did prove they can fight and they could easily prepare a couple of traps and what not, now that they knew what to look out for. There were also no breaches regards the Mirelurk grounds, so there was no danger from there either.

The rest of the group, now armed to the teeth and equipped with several pounds of survival goods such as purified water, pots, food portions, stim-packs, medicine and other useful things amongst with a new companion, a wasteland mutt out of all things, they ventured into the unknown.

The Vault door was massive, but it was not as impressive now that it was open. Before they only knew it was a massive wall which held all bad things away and allowed them to live in a sanctuary. That protection has been now lifted, taken away and shredded into bits. Hope was the first road to disappointment, yet the group took also the first step to a new future, a new home and life.

A mighty beam of natural light flashed in the setting sky, looking as if the heavens themselves were burning as the group stood there, at the exit of their underground home, for the first time standing on the surface. Though the night was coming, the leaving sun bathed the group and the area in the last rays of light. It felt awkwardly warm, too. It was humid and the air felt.... Thick. Breathing in and out imperfect air was indeed a weird sensation.

Their eyes could see so wide and the world seemed endless. There was a city nearby, perhaps just a mile east, ahead of them. If there ever existed anything around the vault in more immediate area... It all had vanished by now. To the south there was nothing but long streets, most likely the old 'I95' road that connected to the next major hub: Miami. The west had not much to offer from their current position, some sub-urban area seemed to exist there but all was just ruins like the rest of the surface world. North also offered a route to a sub-urban dystopia. However, the difference was that a train station could be seen.

An outlook on a new home as not all too bright, but they had to make a beginning somewhere!

    Current Goals Reminder:

#1 - 'Into the Sun', Explore the Wasteland and find out where the Raiders came from
#2 - 'Traitor?!', Find out who set up the signal
#3 - 'Find a new Home', Re-build Vault 41, or find a new home in the wasteland.

"Finally, so any idea where the closest city or town. If anyone else is still alive they'll know where the Raiders might have come from. If they're just the same as those who came to our vault then I'll kill them and find out what I need to know."

Oliver stood only just noticing as he'd left the Vault that the "Sun" as he remembers it being called was the strangest sensation, he also remembered those Vault Tec educational videos that they'd need protective eye gear to defend their eyes due to their eyes not being used to the sun's rays but after a moment of blindness he felt fine.

As the blindness passed he surveyed the area of the Wasteland they'd stepped into. Everything was dead from eyes view, whatever was once around the Vault was gone leaving only the dirt and wreckage. The idea of this once being a thriving area seems almost impossible, thinking there was a world where every whim was catered for also seemed impossible looking at the world they'd stepped into.

It then dawned on him how much he was going to risk in the name of vengeance, willing to kill anyone to get the information he needed. Perhaps he needed to calm himself and think of something different but how could he with every moment he wasn't thinking of vengeance all he could see and hear was the vault's residents last moments. Perhaps he just needed to face it and come through the other side without stopping to prove he was stronger than his own mind. He didn't truly know but what he did know was his 10mm pistol was going to be close to him at all times while out here.
