"Someone used my codes to let these things invade the vault" as she spoke she sounded furious "i dont know who but im turning off the broadcast before we get more invaders" she just looked at the man "il play the mesege for you if you want but id rather find out how it seams to have been used by someone else but me" as she said this she waited for a reply from tony
Oliver looked over the screens, each one held a different style of death where the people would have been used as sport and entertainment. Why anyone would want to do this for what seems nothing more than a bit of fun was beyond Oliver, sure he'd taken pleasure in killing the raiders he'd found but he'd not gone and killed innocents for mere pleasure. The screens more portrayed nightmare after nightmare, a few had some dead outsiders in there as well but the majority were fellow Vault Dwellers. Oliver felt his heart sink looking upon the dead, after this he knew Tony was right. They'd have to leave the Vault, there is no way they'd be able to carry on with just the handful left that they are at the moment. One of the screens even had some people pinned against the walls from knives then were used as target practice it would seem from the excessive amount of nails stuck in the men's chests. Oliver might have knew them if the men's faces weren't also cut off. Blood was everywhere and the Vault truly had become a sadist's wet dream. Another had a few dead raiders in there and it seemed to be a place where Security had tried to make a stand but ultimately failed, throats were sliced open and faces smashed but their eyes were left open. It was small details that really start to hit Oliver as if the dead Vault Dwellers were looking back at him. It was at that point Oliver couldn't look any more. He'd already spent more time than he should have within the Overseer's Office, no idea telling how far she'd gone but Oliver was determined to track her down. As Oliver left the Overseer's Office he took a look back at the screens and he knew he could see the eyes but he felt them still looking back at him. The feelings stuck with Oliver even as he tried to shake them but knew he had to put them out of mind at least until they could make it out of the Vault, then he could reflect but at the moment they were all still in possible danger, Oliver laughed quietly a little realising he'd just thought that outside the Vault was now considered safe, perhaps next he was going to walk on the roof or put his jumpsuit on backwards. Oliver quickly followed towards to the Radio Room only to notice that the Overseer was talking to someone, who else had gone to the Radio Room as no one had spoke about going to the Radio Room, Oliver couldn't make out what she was saying but he definitely heard voices coming from inside the Radio Room, before charging in Oliver thought he'd try and get to some covered position so he could check out the Radio Room first before revealing himself.
His eyes widened for a second, before returning to the angered stare he had before. "And I'm suppose to believe it wasn't you?" he growled his head turning to look at the child overseer, "Am I supposed to assume you're innocent in all of this?!" He grabbed the Overseer by the shoulder and turned her around. His eye was visibly twitching just looking at her. It was getting more and more difficult to fight the compulsion to introduce his wrench to the Overseers skull now. But he still hasn't completely lost himself to his own anger. But boy was he getting close. "Play the damn recording" he hissed.
"I did not set this up" as she spoke she looked at him straight in the eyes "i will play it just let go" as she spoke her voice strained slightly as if she was starting to get nervous "i find it hurtfull you actualy belive it was me" as she said that last word she broke free of his grip and played the messege "if you still think it was me then go ahead and do what you must do" with that she went quiet but kept her hand on her pistol
As the recording finished, the expression on Tony's face changed. The expression of anger and pure blood fueled raged gave way to a more shocked and surprised expression. The only way someone would know that password to the Vault, the only person that had access to the Overseer's terminal. The only person that could have gotten that message out was the overseer or her assistant. But he couldn't even begin to start calling anyone out, or think upon the thought any further. He began to shake a bit as he looked down to the floor. His hand that gripped onto his wrench began to tremble a bit. At any moment it felt like he'd explode. He couldn't take it anymore. It was building up too much. He snapped. He was going to do what he must do. Wordlessly, he brushed the Overseer to the side and started to do what he originally planned on doing since walking into the room. He began smacking the radio station with his wrench. Bringing it down onto the machine with as much force as he could muster. He was going to see to it that this damned contraption wouldn't ever work again. That it would cease any and all functions it had. Not one more signal. Not one more sound. If he'd have his way, the machine would barely be recognized as the machine it was before.
Jace couldn't help but let out a smile as Agnes pet their new friend. It was good to see some happiness, with all he horror they had just experienced. They had to cling to whatever they had left to stay sane. To not become like... Them. "See, what did I tell ya! He's a big ol softy. Feed him something, he'll probably love you for life." He did a quick check over of his nail gun, before he stood up and prepared to head to the intercom station. "Well, can't lose any more time. I'll see you guys at the station... Please, stay safe." He pleaded, not wanting to lose anyone else. "Come on bud, let's take a walk." He called out to his furry pal, hoping he'd tag along. (@Colapse )
Oliver looked in to see Tony with a rage that looked barely contained with his hand on the Overseer's shoulder, it didn't look like she was in pain but then again she was turned around so her back was to Oliver, for all he knew she was in pain but the words he heard Tony use about wanting her to play a recording had Oliver greatly intrigued. What could this recording be if it made Tony have that look of rage upon him, it was worse than when he had his dispute with Tony earlier before the Clinic. The Overseer's voice seemed to be weakened as if afraid, then again Oliver knew most of the group would do what Tony asked just because they were afraid of him. Oliver knew that if the group was ever going to work it needed more than fear leading it. She then seemed to grant him permission to unleash his anger upon her if he want found it necessary. Oliver instinctively grabbed his pistol and prepared for the worst, if Tony was willing to kill a Vault Dweller in cold blood that was no worse than the base crime that these Raiders were guilty of. Wasn't as bad since he wasn't going to torture a Vault Dweller but felt worse at the same time as the Vault is in a way one big family for the most part. The recording then played, it was muffled a bit but Oliver heard it, well most. Someone had granted these outsiders into the Vault, someone had allowed these monsters the ability to kill, maim and loot their home. Even Oliver felt rage at this news especially since only the Overseer could possibly know the password to the Vault. Everyone knew it didn't work properly but who's to say it wasn't just a fault on the inside but the Outside had a working panel to get the door open. Oliver still hid but he was in a stunned silence with his head racing trying to make sense of it all. He knew the Overseer as well as most in the Vault did but he'd never expect from anyone that they'd be willing to do something like that, putting the whole Vault at risk. Perhaps this message had been sent out since the Overseer who found out that the food supply was running out but there no knowledge of this and there never was a debate or vote for a decision on a issue that'd affect every Vault Dweller although the Overseer could do this without asking the other Vault Dwellers of their opinion it'd be near suicide to do, and I don't mean politically. It was when Oliver stopped pondering and saw even Tony was shocked at what he'd heard. He was even shaking. After going face to face with Tony and almost coming to blows to have something shake Tony made this seem even more of a problem than it already was. For some reason Tony then began smashing the radio room to pieces, perhaps that was why he'd come here and then that means the Overseer was coming here to hide the evidence of that recording. Oliver continued to hide and would wait for future actions but if they didn't come clean to the rest of the group Oliver would. They had to know about this, it might not be the best time to bring it up but if the Overseer was responsible for the death of loved ones then she'd have to pay. Oliver then put his 10mm pistol back away since Tony was obviously working out his frustration on the now useless equipment of the radio room. He did keep a hand close to the pistol if something unexpected should happen though.
"well if you dont mind" as selina spoke shakily she watched him tear the console apart "il see if i can try and work out what caused this, and if it was planned by someone else, though i swear this i had nothing to do with it"
@lord-watchman Tony stood there. Breathing very heavily. Demolishing the radio station as he had took a lot out of him. The untreated knife wound started acting up on him. His adrenaline levels started to decline. He was just tired. So tired over everything. His body was physically exhausted at this point in time. He just sat down, back against the hunk of junk that was once a radio station. Drained of his anger. Drained of his strength. He just sat there, and just took heavy breaths. He's pushed himself so hard. He's endured so much. It didn't matter anymore. And yet he felt another emotion rise out of him. Seeing all the dead in the Vault finally hit him. His nonchalance too any and everything dissipated for this one moment in time. He didn't look toward the Overseer, but he heard what she said. And he had an answer. "I know..." he started to say, devoid of any emotional inflection, "I know you had nothing to do with it..."
@Keidivh And indeed, without much problem, the dog followed Jace, happy to tag along with him for now.
