Ive been using them and, although I like them, they are very weak. The initial explosion only give about 1/2 bar of poison, same with running through it. At that level it is very very low damage. The grenade can also be destroyed very easily! Its not cheap (150lp), you get only two, and only one can be deployed. The area is also roughly the size of a large window. You can also melee the grenade and kill it while it is in the air. For a 150LP weapon it needs to be performing better. Something needs to be change. Someone had the interesting idea of combing the dok bomb with the sicky bomb, but that would most likely be OP. I just want the sicky bomb to apply poison stacks faster and maybe a slight increase in its AOE. Make the grenade unable to be melee'd. People should not be running through it!
yea, you're right, I tested the sicky bombs on myself and they really are pretty easy to avoid, although I have gotten several nice shots in with them against heavily guarded rooms, they do clear balconies with couched devastator marines pretty well. I still am not using doc bombs out of principle, as it deprives me of the exp I would gain by healing them myself, and I've become pretty good at running down orks to stick with my needle. Will probably switch over to sticky bombs and I've started to level up the grenade tree, I'm completely useless against vehicles as it is so it would help to have something to use when I find a rhino spawn sitting unattended.
Im planning that too with grenades. The sicky grenades are just overpriced garbage right now sadly.. Being able to hurt vehicles and maybe get a few cheap krak tags would be a nice change.
