Plus, orks in fluff are actually really hard to kill, especially if they have even halfway decent armour.

  2. oh yeah i love the high reward high risk idea with orks
we talked about it in another thread

would be cool if many elements of ork gameplay have those
it have to be optional for sure
wait for the weapon to cool down or continue shooting with higher dmg but risk of explosion

Really hope, they make each faction unique.
  4. An individual Ork will be an even match for an individual Space Marine. The devs have stated this numerous times.

They've also already announced their solution to the problem of representing Orks as a horde. With the F2W option available, you can rest assured that there will never be any shortage of green-skinned cannon fodder mindlessly charging at your base for you to mow down.

F2W is honestly a really amazing solution to the faction population balance question, I love the idea. Just think about it. Free-to-players in online games behave pretty much exactly the same way as an Ork mob in the lore. They don't really care at all for organization or tactics, they just want to rush the next base and get back into the fight as quickly as possible. Just like the classic Orks you Space Marine players want them to be, they'll rush you in a huge chaotic mob, accidentally killing as many of their own number as they do yours in the process, just like they do in Planetside 2.

It's so perfect, since only the generally-more-hardcore premium players will be the space marines, chaos, eldar, and orks larger than boyz, which will, in effect, make them stronger, since they will be the experienced, paying players with access to a wide range of skills, equipment, and elite/hero classes, and who usually take the game more seriously to begin with.

Da boyz themselves will be exactly the hilarious mob of chaotic insanity we all want it to be, and because they will be generally younger, less experienced, less equipped, and less hardcore players who just kind of run straight at you without really knowing what they're doing, it will still feel like they're weaker than you, even if they're not really in terms of stats. Because of F2W, Orks will probably always be the most populated faction for the entire life of the game, because all the casuals will be dumped there, so you get your horde of Orks to mow down, and we Orks get our legitimately balanced gameplay experience.

So let's put this discussion to rest, because the devs already figured out a really elegant way to give everyone the experience they want.

It is just how fluff shows it, the green tide and all, under no circumstances should ork´s be made weaker just because fluff, gameplay elements should fix that making them equal i would say, as for things going boom or a chance at it, plasma guns on SM are unstable i believe and perhaps by default if you overuse it, the gun blows up, perhaps higher firerate module on a weapon gives it a chance to jam and a need to reload and for chaos we got perils of the warp or plainly using a plasma gun sucks you into the warp right in-front of your enemy if you overuse it, well we can ball ideas on that just throwing some stuff out there, as for eldar, i dont know they go all emo or break down psychologically or something, i got no clue for them.

As for sidegrades go i believe this is far better then a flat out trade, i believe a trade for higher firerate on a weapon should lower the ammo capacity as well as have a chance to jam so you need to reload and the like.

Sidegrades such as that would be interesting.

  6. you got the f2w model wrong i guess
  7. Yes wee have and se still need to get the devs to get on that as soon as possible itll be fun and interesting and bring that lore to the Ork gameplay while making it balanced as best it can be in some way.

And Personally I want them to stay to the Lore as best as possible with simple things are nobds are much harder to kill then sum boyz, or shit like that. But instead of trying to have nothing but lore in order to make some people happy i want the gameplyable to a point where no faction can cry and bitch that Orks are OP because the developers made the orks have to much fluff to them that made them gods. its a game everything has to be tuned down the balance. As long as they have their own flavor from the other factions that make them completely different but it still can only 1v1 and have a half chance to lose is the only good way to make a game. IDc i typed this ass azz and Iz an Ork me no car for meh Spellin !

This all happens because of all Dawn of War (amazing series) and Space Marine games where humans wreck 999999999 Orks without orks doing anything about it. People want Orks to be fodder because they are taught that by games (games that revolve around space marines) or faction specific codexes (every codex shows their own faction in best light).

We have 4 SM Legions dropping on the planet (i can not recall how many times that happened in books but I`m sure it is close to 0), best Chaos SM legions, most elite eldar and now it seems everyone wants Orks to be fodder, cause why not.

People want us to randomly explode, die in 2 hits, miss everything from range cause of "lore"? Clearly they never read a thing about orks.
    1) For every random effect there is a huge bonus in another area or if ability succeeds.
    2) Some orks do not aim when shooting not because we cant do it, it is because we want to shoot as much as we can while enjoying all that dakka around us (noise, dakka, blood, screams, pain is what we live for)
    3) Fresh Ork Boy will die to SM that has a lot more experience which is nothing weird (this goes both ways).

bE wants this game to be competitive and as soon as you mention pvp and competitive gaming rules from tabletop and lore disappear from the picture cause no one wants to be on short end of the stick by default. It is enough there is a lot of drama about who is better or who doesn`t know how to play in competitive games, we don`t need another thing like why is my faction weaker than others?

Just to make it clear, if you really want to go by the book get ready to have your entire faction wiped out by Warboss or Weirdboy.

I don't even mind my gun being inaccurate as long as it has enough dakka to make up for it.

I edited some things and i completely agree with you. I would like to be able to use weapon with less daka and more accuracy from time to time when the mood hits me though.
