  2. Yes you got me. You found me out. I want this game to suck for my Ork character.

My forum name "Psychopski" is based off of my lvl 100 Ork Choppa I played for almost 4 years in Warhammer Online. I've tested and played EC for almost 3 years, since the first day of Alpha. I will probably continue to keep playing until it goes offline.

Right now this OHK horse shit is pushing me away from playing the game. It's surely pushing non 40K fans away from the game forever, those F2P players that have no knowledge or love of 40K just know that this OHK garbage isn't fun. They uninstall and never look back.

As far as when I play my Orks I dont touch the Kannon because it's a gimmick and requires little skill. I prefer high risk, high reward Slugga and Stormboy. I dont comprehend the low risk EXTREME rewards with the Kannon. If I'm working my ass off inside an objective room to score a single kill on my Stormboy before i get killed horribly from 23 different directions why should the Loota guy that's 150 meters away up on hill by our spawn get such easy OHK multikills from the comfort of such extreme ranges?

I've been here since the Captain wave of the closed Alpha, so I've been here for as long as you have, unless you decided to spend like, a thousand dollars for the tier above that, and that's assuming it got in earlier, because I don't remember, so don't pull that seniority shit on me, buddy.

Also, it seems your answer is, "Fuck the Kannon". Good to know you don't actually want to be constructive in any way, shape, or form. Go ahead and keep doing that by yourself. I'm outta here.

Wouldn't that usually be considered an immediate threat? And not paying attention to said threat? If you're paying attention, watching for the spots where there's almost always some kind of heavy weapon is included in that. Again, If you're not standing out in the open kannons are very rarely a problem. For example, that video you posted of the kannon killing your elite? You were standing in front of the doorways, what did you expect? I can honestly say that when you jumped down to save the downed player my thought was, "Why would even try to get him?"
  5. but im an eldar.....
  6. okay so i read the rest of the thred. why does everyone keep calling me a space marine? i tried my first match today and all i saw was our guys exploding. the ones with the large guns you set up on walls. the black reapers or something? at one point i saw three of them die instantly in a huge puff of smoke!

Certainly. I have it as part of my loadout options, and just like the slightly better Plasma cannon, I use it on specific maps only.

Maggon station when attacking: Only on point B and sometimes C. At B, the defenders are usually crowding inside behind the walls and it makes it impossible for anyone to come through the door. Random Kannon shots into the doorways and windows moves the defenders into less optimal spots for the orks that get in. At C, if I get to the top outer level, I can shoot into the big balcony windows where the point is as that's another clumped up area.

Torias when attacking: Sometimes a single point becomes so heavily contested, and crowded, that Kannon becomes viable next to the multitudes of shootas next to you. Fire for area denial, don't aim too much at individual players. Just anticipate where they'll go.

Zedek when attacking: Firing into B from a distance is usually good, or starting with a Kannon at A and firing as soon as you come up to the bridge. During the first 10 seconds, lots of people rush to the upper level to the bridge, and you'll catch 3-4 people at once stepping out into full view on the bridge ripe for a Kannon shot. They're usually so clumped up that they can't retreat past their own allies. Alternatively, which I see a lot of plasma cannon users doing, is getting up the hill east of that bridge and firing into the ammo box and the lone window where a heavy often is braced.

And so on. It's a weapon I use only to deal with heavily clumped up enemies, which often tend to be clanstacks not knowing any better. It's fairly decent at the role as long as you aren't suppressed, but the Plasma cannon is simply better because you can defend yourself against the inevitable lone JPA without losing time respawning. I find it's a rather niche weapon though.

No, it's not. When the PC was OP, you got to read of noone from the marine side that it should be nerfed. Now, marines have the new version of the PC, which fulfills everything a Kannon can do, but with more versatility and placed on a better character. Orks use Kannons because it's what they've available, LSM/CSM ignores using the better PC because they've even better long-range options available.

I would settle for a warning tone when someone is pointing a kannon at me. I mean, Orks get to see a crystal clear red laser beam for several seconds, giving them plenty of time to roll out of the way and break the lock.

Number of times I've seen a kannon shot coming at me and rolled out of the way to avoid it.
    Zero.

You guys can talk "they get x gun and we get y gun to compensate" all you want but in the end, a OHK without warning or any method of avoidance is stupid, not fun, and insanely frustrating. Bottom line.
