Just remove the laser pointer from Lascannon. Oh wait, that happened and everyone cried. But some how a weapon that is, more or less, an AOE version of that is fine. Because, reasons.
There is another thread, regarding Lascannons beeing OP because they OHK infantry. It's another weapon i don't get killed much with... I guess you are just Kannon Bait. Fact for your bank. Joking aside. I really don't see that much usage of kannons outside fortress maps/ ZEdek MAggon. And even in those maps, most orks prefer Zapps for vehicles, then switch to Ace dakka. Honest.
We already have a Zzap Deffgun. We don't need freaking two of the things. Space Marines just can't tolerate having their Power Fantasy taken from them, however briefly and rarely it may be. Spit that pacifier out of your mouth and suck it up guys. You're going to die and lose your Veterans unceremoniously no matter what you cry about and get nerfed in the end. Play the game, get better, and don't stand out in the open where you're likely to explode to an Ork that happens to actually know what he's doing.
Lascannon is a dead on accurate laser with 0 timing required that can snake shots between cover. Also, practically zero chance of blowing yourself up or a teammate. Deffcannon is not dead on accurate, has a firing arc, requires projectile timing that can not snake shots between cover. It has a chance of blowing yourself up and teammates. But, it does have AOE.
I play Orks more than anything and I have never seen Orks spamming Kannons... so either he IS Kannon bait, or is just exaggerating it to make it sound worse than it actually is. I'm going with the latter. Even before F2P I never saw kannon spam. Hell, when I play LSM/CSM and are against Orks I hardly see it. Again, the people who use kannons generally tend to favor one spot so it's not hard to get the jump on them, or suppress them rendering their kannon useless. And if you know the maps, you'll know the favored spots for kannons (or any heavy weapon user). Personally I got tired of the kannon, I prefer the plasma deffgun vs Chaos/Space Marines. Mows them down crazy fast.
The Ace Dakka is super kickass. I get so many kills with that thing it's silly. It's mostly because LSM are generally very stubborn and at times not particularly tactically aware. I will kill deployed Devastators because they refuse to move or try to out-shoot me, which they wont. It's actually quite amusing.
Oooooh we're going down the wonderful yellow brick road of ork nerfhammering and the salt of the LSM is going to be our fuel.
When i use Napalm KAnnon: -The first released fortress (can't remember the name), while attacking A, When the gates are already down, so not even the entire map. If B balcony is friendly occupied. -Agnatio Attacking B, or defending B -Zedek attacking B and C -MAggon Attacking A and C To me, it's a sitional weapon. and very position dependant to be worth while. Only when i'll be getting the Shiniest kills, is it worth taking. If you look at the pattern, it's only when attacking heavily entrenched positions.
