With a wound more humiliating than debilitating, Lorelei sat for a number of seconds before getting back up to her feet, longing for the moment when she could wash her eyes, because the perpetual stinging was everything but pleasant. In the same motion, she took a defensive step backwards to assert the tactical situation. Apparently, the Inquisition had won against the Bullhorn, once more proving that faith and honour would always prevail against savagery. Sadly, it was not looking as well for her brother.

Without time to properly bind her shield to her back, she shut it off and placed it on the ground, taking the long powerblade into both hands, and moving to the back of Bernstein slowly. Her sense of pride and chivalry was loudly complaining in her Schola-Progenium-twisted mind, but the Marburg would have none of it, not now, when her mission took precedence.

Once she got into the proper position, she rose her blade and swung it with a heavy downward cut at the man's back. Surely any ordinary weapon would be sundered in a straight defense.

Such banishments would perhaps work against common foes, but Haras quickly realized that indeed Bernstein was directly a host to a Daemon. It would take all the Grey Knights to work together to banish the Daemon out of the host or significantly weaken him.

Ironically the group's attempt at teamwork would be probably one of the greatest drawbacks since all that Bernstein had to do was taking a roll to the side at the very last moment to let Orion slam his hammer right against Sicarius' sword, the force element throwing both off and letting Lorelei hit the air.

Since he waited until the clash was over, Gladius managed to get a clean shot and cause at least a minor wound to the daemon-Inquisitor.

Weak Wound. Against Inquisitor Bernstein - Chest.

Konrad got slowly back on his feet. "Work together. He is playing you like fools... Sicarius, Orion. Join your brother in psychic barrage against the Daemon. Gladius, Xaphen. Suppress with ranged attacks. Lorelei Kirsten. We engage the bastard in melee." The Inquisitor drew an ancient knife. The same knife that has banished and destroyed the other essences of this Nurgle Daemon. The Purifier.

"Let's finish this." He announced and marched straight for Bernstein, his primary arm hanging low as it was broken, but it was not the first time he was forced to use the left hand.

In preparation for the new attack, Bernstein drew a rusty knife that looked like nothing much, but truly was a weapon even wielded by Plaguebearers. He lowered it to his abdomen and cut a whole chunk off to release rot flies that started to fill the room, while several squirts of toxic and corrosive acid spat forward. Forcing the various attackers to evade the shots, if they did not want to dissolve into nothingness. But furthermore it also lowered the availability for attacks, as it put holes into the deck.

The time of 'playing' was over, and whatever would happen now, it could mean to live or die for anyone.

Sicarius took a step back and began forcing warp fire to surround himself, burning away at the flies that filled the room and at least cleansing the immediate surroundings around him.

He drew his combat knife, as his sword was still lodged in the Traitor's chest. He held back at first, waiting for an opportune moment to strike.

  5. Orion stood up strait and started channeling his psychic power, "Brother i call for Holocaust" he said as he began chanting louder and laouder, adding his own psychic energy to a pool, awaiting the others to join in, he fesred jot the flies as his body and mind would draw them away itself, especially now that he was beginning to well with nemesis force.

  6. Haras began chanting louder as a response to the inquisitor's order, pooling his energy with his brothers as they prepared to destroy this daemon...

Lorelei Kirsten's blade slammed into the ground. This was not good for the blade, she internally grumbled, since her bastard power blade was immensely expensive and of immensely fine craftsmanship. To replace it would be difficult and, frankly, not something she was keen on doing.

The chanting of her Grey Knight allies didn't escape her notice. She knew what it meant but wasn't exactly sure of its effects. To her, witchery was witchery.

"I'm getting sick of you, Bernstein!", she cried as she picked up her blade and went into a broader, tail guard stance. She wasted no time in stepping forward to charge the Nurglite recklessly, hoping to buy her chanting retinue-comrades time; and if they would hit her as well with whatever magics they were brewing up, then so be it.

The flies perished to a majority. But since they were aware of the danger from Sicarius, they wanted him to suffer even more. And so it happened that their daemonic overlord granted them more power to penetrate here and there the fire-spell and splattered against the Grey Knight, covering him into acid.

Light Wound - Head & Chest. Against Sicarius. => Critical Condition!

The teamwork invocation of a squad-based spell, especially this advanced was a true challenge and with only two invoking the spell it would take a while to materialize it enough to aim it with enough strength against a being like Bernstein. However, he already noticed them charging the spell as it was hard to not discover such bundled warp powers.

Current Level of Holocaust = 2; For most efficiency = 2 turns left (next & after that) with Sicarius joining the spell could be utilized next turn. Level increases per turn, per GK who focuses. Level 5 is required for EFFICIENT use.

Light Wound - Left Arm. Against Bernstein.
Medium Wound - Neck. Against Bernstein.

"And I am sick of you and your comrades. Sick enough that it makes me..." He blocked her attack casually with his left arm that merely oozed and lost some flesh, but similar to the other man's weapon, started to devour the power weapon. Instantly the opportunity was seized to ram his knife into the chest of the crusader, penetrating her armor and scratching her skin.

Gladius and Konrad seeing their chance charged together forward. "VOMIT!" Bernstein completed his prior started sentence, shooting a gush straight toward Konrad who got hit out of surprise by it across his chest. However this allowed Gladius to close the distance.

He plunged his knife right into the side of Bernstein's neck which for once did not spray ooze and vomit all over him, in fact - his blade was not being devoured at all. Either he found a weak spot - or Bernstein could only intake one blade at a time?

In the distance Konrad roared in pain as he fought with throwing his robes and armor off to keep the acid-pest spreading all over his body.

Medium Wound - Chest. Against Konrad - Critical Condition.

He was glad it had been his real arm to burn off earlier in the day, while his bionic arm would have hurt less, in this situation the bionic arm would be far more useful. It was much stronger than his real arm, and he would need all that strength. He mustered all the might he could, seeking to rip the knife through the Inquisitor's throat instead of out of it as he shouted to the Grey Knights:

    "Go for the neck!!"

Lorelei flat out refused to let go of the sword, pulling against the draw with her entire body weight. If nothing else, she would at least distract the Nurglite further, as the woman hoped. "No!", she cried out loudly, still pulling at the long hilt with both hands.

"COME ON TIBERION! DECAPITATE THIS BEAST FASTER!"
