It was something she would consider worth investigating, and felt compelled to do so. "I'm going to look what's with this light. You there, Sir Astartes", she said, pointing at one of the black-clad warriors, "would you be so kind and accompany me there?"

Konrad concluded from Octavir's words and finally found the terminal interface under a slate. He quickly typed an Inquisitorial override code into it and the gate started to move, causing a small tremor across the ruins. "Ready for combat!" "Let us hope there are many foes, would put my warrior spirit finally at ease." He somewhat complained as the two headed out for the woods. Wilmark growled low in the distance, lucky bastard-brother who got away from serf duties. As they got closer to the woods, the light seemed to start move away, deeper into the forest. Either attempting to lurk the young woman and her super-human bodyguard away from the camp, or afraid of being caught.
Octavir quickly moved in front of the Inquisitor, "Behind me Lord Inquisitor. Your life is worth more to the Imperium." He raised his halberd and pistol which both were pointed at the opening door.
Gregor stayed at the back, guarding the rear. He went through all his sensors to scan the corridor. Every few steps he stood still and placed a hand at one wall.
"It sounds like we share the spirit of the warrior", Lorelei remarked while walking alongside the man. "Though I would ask why yours is in unrest, Sir Astartes?" As the light fled further away, the Crusader became wary but did not cease her hunt. This was either a trap or something really valuable, and she considered herself skilled enough to best any foe.
<Gladius Tiberion> He took his spot directly next to the Inquisitor, he would allow no others to take that spot. His life in this group was worth the least, and as such it was his responsibility to give up his life for the Inquisitor's

No. It was a massacre. Servitors, Skitarii and other combat units of the Adeptus Mechanicus laid left and right, covered in holes. Everyone, even or perhaps especially the Scion could spot that they did this with their own weapons to another. "A heretek virus." Inquisitor Konrad sighed as he simply walked forth to the closest Skitarii, inspecting the corpse. However, nothing of interest was noted. "Proceed with caution." He commanded, not drawing his own weapons. In the far distance, the known sound of gears and machines could be heard. A single machine, sounding from the thunder of it's steps echoing through the caverns perhaps a construct in the size of a Knight. ~~Camp Build-Up~~ Lorelei Kirsten Marburg [ @Casavay ] Father Dio Iustus Fraunclin [ @DaKaptin ] Hyspasian Zeth [ @High_Adept_Zeth ] Ulrich did not glance away from the sight in front. "Days without combat, being stuck on this rock... How would you feel? I was born to wage war, not to sit around..." He had more words on his lips but was cut short as a new sight was in front of the two... A.... A... A brick wall?! In the middle of the forest after walking through a thick bush?! It was solid and after a strong punch-test by Ulrich he noted that they could attempt to break through it with their weapons but that it would take a while. "Our recons had never reported of a brick wall in the woods." Did his voice showed fear? Lorelei was certain that he was afraid of this uncanny fact, or at least very very on edge.
Octavir again walked in front of the Inquisitor with his weapons still raised, "If it is a heretic virus there is a chance these bodies will not stay motionless for long." His head was in constant motion, looking in all directions for anything of interest. "Perhaps as a precaution we should sever the heads of all these bodies or even burn them. Just thinking out loud."
"I understand fully", Lorelei replied before they hit the wall. His frustration was obvious to her, and she was not lying. Few things were more vexing to their kind - warriors with true hearts - than the inability to follow their need to fight. But still - his fear made her suspicious. "And they shall know no fear", it was said of them. "Then we will rectify it, Ulrich. Come on, the... wisp can wait. We should report the brick wall."
But a door opened, the brick wall simply dissipating. Lorelei could see the wisp again, but.... It started to take form and shape. It started to take shape of a cult Mechanicus member, but she could not discern the symbols or any such thing...
