OOC: Actoan is Marshal. (equivalent Captain in other chapters, the High Marshal is the chapter master of the BT, like Sigismund was back then ) Also here are no psyker buddies, I think you might have misinterpret the fact of 'Psychic Presence' at the start when we found the survivor. The presence was simply the fact of a living being around. Every life form has a psychic presence, unless you are a negative psyker such as blanks.
OOC; oh, I remember reading how odd it was to find the black templar in the presense of psykers. Guess that must have been us... Which means...
Lorelei shook her head upon hearing the semi-scolding her brother had dealt out. "Father Dio is right, milord. I should not adress you by your first name." Privately, she did so of course, but when with the other servants, she tried not to let it become obvious that she was his youngest sister. Standing there with her arms crossed and trying not to look too suspicious of the Black Templars, the woman took the time to catch her breath again and switch from chest to belly breathing. The panicked sprint had certainly eaten at her endurance, but she knew how to compensate and regenerate. "What now?", she asked in a voice that was as close to whispering as possible.
OOC: Small time-skip just to move things along and get everyone back on track and the story forward! After the investigation on the ruins ended up in a dead-end with the Black Templar apparently only having seen phantoms and Konrad insisted on not blaming the Templar for anything just yet, he regrouped everyone at the ruins, after learning from Hyspasian and Octavir about the Necrontyr symbol, combined with the observations of Father Dio and his sister Lorelei, a new theory built up and with Actoan at his side, the two commanders stood in front of the aligned group. "It seems we are here on a matter that is rather of Alien nature, than unholy. However, I do not want to rule one over the other out. The disappearing of the sole survivor could be a phasing weapon, which would also explain why the Banisher and Crusader both could do nothing against the unknown enemy, not even see him. But if it would be of Necrontyr nature, then why are there no legions marching, energy signatures or any of such thing, but only what appears as leftovers of warp energy? We do not know or can discern what is truly going on. Simply assume that this is no simple matter of destroying demons any longer, nor that we will soon fight Necrons." Konrad announced and then pointed at Hyspasian, then indicating to approach him. "You know of the Necrontyr ruins on this world. Remember that you all swore an oath, under which I also bound Actoan's men that no word spoken or event lived through on this world will ever leave the atmosphere. So speak up what you know, and if possible guide us there, Hyspasian." It was a strict command. And the Puritan, if his theory regards the Necrons was true, would not waste much longer to get good riddance of them. After all he was to hunt daemons, not aliens that were said to be as old as the universe. "The rest of you, regroup with the Black Templar. Gladius, Father Dio and Lorelei take Wilmark. Hyspasian is with me and Actoan. Haras with Jonas. Sicarius with Georg. Orion with Rafael. Octavir with Ulrich. And Gregor with Pedran. If you have any questions ask now or as we walk, I can imagine it will be a looong way until we reach our destination." <Father Dio> Before the Meeting Having learned of the strong sibling bond held between Inquisitor Konrad and the Crusader Lorelei, Dio had resigned himself to make note of this in his journal. As they prepared to leave, Dio made his way back to corpse remains within the downed thunderhawk. Taking a number of samples from each splattered remain. Skin, blood, even what remained of a jaw bone. . Afterwards, they began the journey back to base, after meeting up with the rest of their party. On board the transport, father Dio prayed silently for the soul of the now unnamed man. 'Redemption IVX. God-Emperor on Holy Terra, please see that your sheep, Who in your defenders service, fell to most cowardly of foes. Let him know peace from such fear at your feet. Amen.' At the Meeting "Inquisitor sir, if I may. Even if this may be the work of xenos, that doesn't conclude that they are it's origin. The only indication of this is a branded shriveled mess of an ork and a foe too eager to kill a weaponless chapter serf. Who it decided to leave two witnesses, with the upper hand, shows inconsistency... at least, that's what I speculate my Lord. I took the liberty of collecting samples from the corpse, I have ways of finding if this was warp in nature. Would you like me to proceed?" Dio advised. He knew he was stepping over his bounds. The Inquisitor had decided, and there was no one who could defy such rulings. 'However, if this is only being made to look like the work of xenos then we would as good letting a heretic go.' Which Dio would never let happen... ever! (OOC: demonology and fanaticism for the win!)
<Gladius> He saluted to Konrad. "Right away my Lord." He took up a position where he could keep an eye on both of them. No doubt in his mind that they could both out perform him in combat, but they had uses outside of combat and were far more valuable. His life would be forfeit if he were to return without them.
"I fear no horror from ages past,Lord Inquisitor."added Hyspasian as Konrad beckoned for him.Zeth continued infront of Actoan, seeing as Lord Inquisitor trusted him...divulging of data seems paramount. "Soulless need to be dealt with, even though the daemonic corruption could not be direct."finished Zeth, his augmented eyes staring at Marshal`s incredibly detailed power armor. "Based on my preliminary analysis, the Necrontyr device seems prasitical in nature, slaving the faithless organics, like Greenskins to the will of the alien masters, whenver they be Orks...or Soulless.Beyond that Lords...I can only speculate.I need more thorough investigation with more...advanced...equipment."blurted Techscorcist as he turned around the small Necrontyr device in one of his mechadendrites. "As you have read Lord Inquisitor, the data upon the Cult`s doings was of Dar Laq origin...what secrets they divulged I do not know..."spoke Zeth as he complied with the Inquisitor`s orders. He got used to obeying orders from the unaugmented, long time service outside of the Cult seems to makes one...meek. "What I do know is that the extinct race seems to be advanced in phasing technology. It was speculated among the Cult that they share kinship or even more with the Necrontyr. There is only one location that we have found so far..."spoke Zeth as he stopped for a moment. "The dig site is quite far away my Lord.Across a desert, north of here.A mountain city of xeno origin was discovered.Ishawar mountains."
"We will march to the clearing east from here, our lander should be able to pick us up there. As for the Necrontyr device... Do not bring this back on our ship, it will stay here on Golgotha. You can analyze it all you want at the ruins, I can even arrange to get equipment from your laboratory, but everything will done planetside." Konrad concluded, not ready to make a couple of days march if it could just take an hour or so in flight instead, nor taking any unnecessary risks. "Perhaps he knew something we weren't to. Or it chooses it's victims specifically, just like the victims of Nurgle. Anyway, you are allowed to proceed with your theories once we arrive at the alien site." Inquisitor Marburg put the Banisher at ease.
