@DaKaptin Having watched the holy man work with a mixture of desinterest and boredom - as an agent of the Ecclesiarchy, Marburg was no stranger to exorcisms, torture, or anything in-between - she had already taken a step back when the man was brought to her. Obediently, Lorelei drew her blades the moment the banisher told her to. Assuming a combat stance, she smirked. An evil spirit would be a good measure of her skill.
Gregor examined the writing closely. He tried to memorise it and analysed the writing style. It might lead to a hint. Then he ignited his halberd an wrote an answer in the ground: "By the name of the Emperor, reveal yourself." After that he assumed a combat stance.
~~ Bell Drama - @Casavay & @DaKaptin ~~ A second time the bell rang, far closer now. However, the vox of Father Dio resulted in nothing but static. The warp, or whatever the incoming beast was made of, already affecting it. Which in result meant that Konrad stood outside unknowing. Though in fact, he was engaged in a conversation with Actoan, having met him half-way from the Templar on a hill and the downed Thunderhawk. Miraculously the unconsciousness only lasted a couple of seconds, as if the bell awoke the man anew. "Your... blessings... Won't help... The fury... Murders... the... Guilty..." He coughed up a clump of blood and the man was pale to a degree he could almost be described as snow-white. ~~ Ruin Party - @matt23 @Grall_Stonefist @WanderingJester @BadDo9 @MetalDog4 @Schalli @High_Adept_Zeth ~~ The text in the grass changed. 'You could have protected him with your Spells, Grey Knights. Gladius could have taken the hit. Accept your guilt.' While most of the individuals conversed with the spirits of the grass and no further event, except a barely audible second bell ring, it was in fact the Techsorcist who may suffered the least in results of finding new hints. The machine spirit was gone in entirety. Destroyed in it's very essence, not the slightest hum left. And once Zeth would actually inspect the vehicle further, he would find nothing beyond the remainder of the chassis. No engine, not even the controls in front of the driver seat.
"Guilt is a trait of the weak. He walks with the Emperor now. Show yourself coward!" his helberd at the ready and his bolter pistol in the other hand.
<Gladius Tiberion> His body betrayed no emotion. Yeah, he could have taken the hit, but he had not seen it coming any more than his fellow Scion had. He slung his lasgun onto his back and pulled out the sniper rifle, and using its powerful optics began to scan the area around them for any sign of movement or anything else out of the ordinary.
The only worse thing then a overly aggressive machine spirit is probably the lack of one.It was like an empty void replaced the divine spark of existence that graced all machines. After close inspection the complete lack of basic components in the tank, save for the chassis, disturbed the Techscorcist. This did not bode well... When he rejoined the Grey Knights,Zeth voxed: ++"Predator tank has been looted heavily.Only chasis remains.Seems like Ork behavior...but..."++mused Techscorcist as he barely heard the bell ringing again. ++"Is anyone hearing the a sound similar to that of a bell?Where is Lord Inquisitor? We must purify this place"++finished Zeth as he gazed at the new message on the grass.
Father Dio Dio was pleased by the Crusaders cool head and obvious talent, however he did have a singular concern. "Tell me Miss Marburg, have you ever faced a non-corporeal foe before? I can tell you now, that your sword will do little to harm them. What I have done here is tripped a seal upon this man's very mind, this beast is here to ensure we can't speak tell what we have learned. Here," Dio tosses Marburg a vile of clear liquid. "Saint's tears, none purer I assure you. Speak the litany of your order and pray to the God-Emperor when applying." Dio wasn't surprised by the interference, but he had to try. Whoever had placed placed the seal upon this man's memories was no halfassed verminspeaker. Yet too obvious to be missed... someone wanted this man found. Father Dio took in the man's weak and forced words with a heavy gravitas. 'The fury... Murders... the... Guilty.' repeated in his mind as he changed his stance. Taking hold of the inferno-pistol once more and steadying his aim. Holding the Thunder Hammer one handed, but close to his chest to better protect his chest. Feeling prepared, Dio looked down to the suffering man now drained of all pigment. As though something was draining the poor man's very soul... perhaps there was. Maybe giving him the Emperor's mercy would keep the beast from appearing... in such moments Dio know what logic dictated. Any rational being would do it, but then there was Dio Iustus Fraunclin. With a deep breath; he prays. "Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heretic for thine inheritance, and for thy possession, the ends of Terra. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron. Thou shalt dash them in pieces, like a potters vessel. Be wise now therefore, ye lords. Be admonished, ye judges of Terra. Serve the God-Emperor with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the flames lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, though his wrath be kindled but a little. Amen!"Dio finishes with particular reverence. He would die doing as he always had done, fighting for the God-Emperor and for those he could not save. 'I am a sinner, but only the God-Emperor can judge me. I shall not run from such a fate, but face it standing tall and with weapon in hand!'
"We will probably get no information from here. Let us head back to the inquisitor to reform. I can verify the sound of a bell. No idea what it means, but we should be together in case something happens. We can purify thsi place, when we know what we are up against."
"Aye this is a distraction to guild those who commited no wrong" Orion simply said, he had his hammer our, holding it near to head for easier counter balance, should he need it quickly while still being able to fire his psycannon. He had found the writing in the dirt to be rather insulting to the weapon, and to answer any rittles of darkness that you could not sense will mostly be a distraction. Orion knew nothing was too of the warp was too close, for his hexagrammic wards where cold.
~~ Ruin Party - @matt23 @Grall_Stonefist @WanderingJester @BadDo9 @MetalDog4 @Schalli @High_Adept_Zeth ~~ But it would be the silhouette and ruby-red piercing eyes from the inside of the ruins that would stare at the Grey Knights and companions. Staring at them in utter silence, just being there, not even moving. Yet, it demanded attention with it's devilish glare. ~~ Bell Drama - @Casavay & @DaKaptin ~~ A third bell rang, far closer now. It was almost upon the duo, they could feel it. Yet any sign of the impending doom was missing. Where was the creature that was supposed to cause the death of the sinner? Or was it just beyond their mere eyes? Still. Lorelei and Father Dio built the wall to the only entrance into the broken Rhino and whatever intended to make it's way in there, had to go through the two of them. "Flee! Flee while you are innocent!" The man protested, crawling backwards as deep as he possibly can into the Rhino. "Your incapability of saving me! ... It will haunt you! ... Guilt will be built! ... More victims... Of a vicious cycle! ... Run befo~" His voice cut off, gasping out loud as a fourth bell rang and the monster appeared. However. Lorelei and Dio could only hear the bell in between of them and the obvious to death scared serf. They could perhaps not see, but they could feel the creature simply passing through them. The unarmed man screaming in permanent terror, before he was grabbed by his neck as his hands attempted to push away the invisible foe - which he appeared to see. But his resistance was futile. Lorelei and Dio could only watch, as the creature would not react to banishments, weapons or even the holy water. The mouth of the man was forced open, his tongue gripped and violently ripped out in it's entirety. With so much force that half the lower jaw was still attached to it, before being thrown into a random corner. Next the eyeballs were ripped out, one after another. Strings of nerves still attached, blood gushing out, and despite the lack of a tongue the man still screamed in agony. Next were the ears, as violent as the other parts before being ripped out. The man suddenly dropped to the ground but disappeared when his feet were supposed to collide with the floor. Simply gone. His eyes, ears and tongue with jaw, that had been removed too - gone, as if the man never existed. And with the shenanigans being over, so did the vox return to life.
