~~ Arrival - Part 1; Armory ~~ Before the ship even arrived, Konrad already gathered his soldiers at the armory to ready for the conflict. He himself there was not much to gather up, he only equipped himself with Witchbolts and a single Psyk-Out grenade, combined with two Incineration grenades. If there were still orks leftover, they would burn in His name. If they would encounter possessed foes, they would be sent straight back to the Warp. OOC: Feel free to pick any special ammunition & Grenades. 3 Clips. 3 Grenades. Also everyone gets 1 free first aid pack which restores 1 level of health (From Critical to Low. Low to Medium. Medium to High. High to Full) Also make sure to decide your weapons in case you have varying equipment (@Casavay ) ~~ Arrival - Part 2; Transit ~~ As soon as the Gloria Perfectus arrived in orbit, Marburg and his crew were already within an Aquilla Lander. Fully armed and ready to unleash justice. The Holo-Desk projected scans of the orbit. It was filled with Imeprial and Ork crafts with no functional craft whatsoever. In fact, the Inquisitorial ship had to fire here and there to get rid of some wreckage that could be potential threats. "We will land exactly where we received the coordinates from Actoan. Expect heavy resistance and open fire at will. Whatever foe we encounter must be purged. Do not expect any Black Templar to be still alive or sane at all. If you have any last words, questions or concerns before we arrive and disembark on our investigation - speak up, or remain silent for the remainder of the mission." Konrad was typically harsh, wanting to get there, solve the mystery and get to the next assignment. Just as he finished, the Holo-Desk switched from orbital to planetary view and showed a group of 10 friendlies with Black Templar insignias on the map, their landing zone being just 100 meters north-west of their location. Most likely their Vox frequencies have been picked up and the system automatically registered the Imperial codes as allies. However, the vox was jammed or malfunctioned as the only thing that would come through was static (would anyone attempt to use their vox). OOC: 1 Psyk-out Grenade, 1 Hallucinogen grenade, 1 virus grenade (orks). 1 tempest, 1 dragonfire, 1 vengence clip. -Before briefing- Sicarius went into the armory, got a few things, nodded to the quartermaster, then left. -At briefing- Sicarius nodded as the Inquisitor spoke. He personally would call an exterminatus down on the planet were it up to him after they've discovered whatever happened to those astartes, but it wasn't his call and he simply listened and memorized instruction, knowing he will execute the inquisitor's orders implicitly.
<Before> Hyspasian Zeth - Techscorcist After the Lord Inquisitor was satisfied with the inspection of data,Techscorcist excused himself.Sparing one last glance toLady Marnburg that was rude enough to bereft him of the answer to his own question,Techscorcist left the chamber. After passing through several security checkpoints guarded by Scions and automated sentries,Hyspasian was finally free to inspect his own laboratory. Some of the Enginseers were just leaving, finishing their work.Hyspasian nodded toward his collegues in both reckognition and gratitude for their work. As he specified to the Lord Inquisitor, several security checkpoints were made across all access corridors. Also, his laboratory is not far from Generatorium, thus problems of power are almost non-existant and the questions for more energy are more then possible to answer. Hyspasian walked in his new laboratory, his feet clanking onto the metal deck beneath. He held both of his hands behind his back, amused and satisfied with the virility and thoroughness with which Lord Inquisitor`s orders have been performed. Marvelous. It is a pleasure working with a competent leadership once more. -mused Hyspasian as he observed the massive cogitating and data-encrypting machines that lay, leaned against the walls of the laboratory.Giant cables, snaked to and from the various machines and devices that probably even the Enginseers found puzzling.Much of the items here were of Hyspasian`s making, mainly due to the ever....changing line of duty he is to perform in His glory.Indeed Techscorcist must be innovative and capable of lateral thinking if he ever hopes to serve the Machine God properly. There was the massive cogitating central unit with a MIU uplink at the center of the room and a console with four empty canisters in which data-crystals shone -data vaults for storing malicious code. Beneath it,protective data-grams were inscribed in the ceramite of the machine. Around the chamber data-cryptor stood with a holospot for encrypting various, personal data, which is to be seen by Inquisitors and Lord Dragons alike. There was a holding cage with adamantium and laser fences and even a (deactivated) stasis pod.In the corner of this lab, several, smaller cogitator units with MIU links stood and a small desk-lumen globe hovered above the uncharacteristicly wooden table.Elegant etchings in various accents of Lingua Technis were inscribed on its surface, and Hyspasian approached and ran his fingers over it.His personal desk, which he loved so much. In other corner of the laboratory there was a locker with an auxiliary command console next to it.In the locker were the armaments of the Techscorcist, enmeshed in purifying data-grams.Hyspasian couldn't risk having his gear in ship`s Armory, for it was too far away from his laboratory, and in case of breach or containment...well...his line of duty is always dangerous.Even when he is not on the battlefield. Console was there for engaging protective turrets that would come out of the walls and destroy everything either designated by Techscorcist or by their cognis cogitator as hostile. ~Arrival - Part 2:Transit ~ Shifting in his seat as the Lander rumbled with vibrations,Zeth ran his fingers over the ancient and venerable pistol in his grip.Gamma Pistol,a true example of the Cult`s techno-arcana.In comparison,Plasma weaponry paled in comparison and Hyspasian was lucky to have it.It was rarely used weapon, considering that many disfavored it for its particulary savage machine spirit. But over the years both the weapon and Techscorcist learned on one another.Holstering the venerable gun in the insides of his robes, partially revealed his data-grammed Sicarian Battle Armor,Zeth inquired: "Lord Inquisitor a query if you would please."spoke Zeth as he spoke incredibly fast trough his data-tether. "Has the breach in the fabric been detected?"asked Techscorcist as he touched the four data-cannisters he had on his wrist in a reflex. <Gladius Tiberion> The Scion, already in the armory when the Inquisitor arrived, saluted and stood to attention as the Lord Inquisitor gathered his gear. Once he was gone/dismissed, he turned around, gathered two krak grenades and one fragmentation grenade (he liked keeping it simple), his power sword was sheathed at his side, opposite his bolt pistol, for which he had grabbed 3 clips of Kraken ammunition. On his back was slung a rather large sniper rifle, and in his arms was his trusty hot-shot lasgun. As the Lander descended towards the surface, Gladius remained at attention, ready to deploy as soon as the command was given.
(OOC: 2 incendiary grenades and 1 Psyk-out grenade. 1 witchbolt clip and two dragonfire.) Octavir grabbed his nemesis force sword and attached it to his waste. He the holstered his bolter pistol and grabbed his clips and grenades. The last thing he took out was his nemesis halberd. It was so at home in his hands that at times he almost felt useless without it. He then stood by for them to leave for the mission <Transit> Octavir looked at the black templars and remembered what the Inquisitor had said. "Regardless of who the used to be, what they are now are abominations that must be extinguished by the righteous hand of the Imperium."
<armory> , in the armory Orion thought some time about what munitions to bring while he was setting up his psy-cannon and hefting his nemesis force hammer over his back, his choice of gear allready made him allround effective against most foes, but he knew orks sometimes where very unconventual in their setup, he dident exatly have much experiance with them. So he chose to take a plasma grenade together with 2 frags. <transit> Orion looked to brother Octavir "thats an importent thing to remember, sometimes even the greatest can fall" Orion answered, though no grey knight had ever fallen, and if hebcould decide, no single one ever would
Before Lorelei Kirsten wanted to reply to the Techsorcist, but was cut off by her brother. By the time he was done, she had wholly forgotten about it. She left to polish her weapons and think of what style to use against such a foe. Armoury Having exchanged her robe for her armour's padded underclothing, of course with the addition of a single red sleeve of a tough cloth unknown to her on the left side, the 'noble' stood, legs and arms spread, waiting for her servant to finish putting on her carapace armour. She watched him work, still marvelling at how this one who had now served her for five years managed to get the white gold shine so radiantly every day again and again. Because she was so pleased with his work, she had only hit the man once, when he had dropped her rapier. Rubbing her still sore eyes gently with her metallic finger, she patiently waited until he was done, and everything fit the way it should. As her took a step away from her and nodded, she rotated her shoulders and twisted and turned a bit. "It is fine, you may leave." Alone with her personal weapon rack, the last encounter with Bernstein had given the Crusader an idea what to take on the next mission. Softly stroking the broad and long blade of her Bastard Power Sword, she nodded at it almost as if apologizing and then grabbed the two slightly shorter and slimmer swords, one with a shorter blade than the other, and transfixed their sheaths at her hips. She nodded. Styles using two weapons were rarer the further you went back in history, and so, instead of being a master of many styles, she was proficient in a few which molded together. Still, with both blades she was still very much a lethal duelist. Once again for security purposes, she strapped the hotshot laspistol to her right leg. The armoured warrior left for the lander, making sure to grab three concussion grenades on her way out. Transit The Marburg took her place away from the Astartes in the crowd of retinue members, listening to what her brother had to say. She had heard such talks often, and she had almost died often, but never had felt the need to say her last words before a battle, waiting patiently for now, and out of habit, using the moment to quietly recite the Fede Imperialis. "A spiritu dominatus, domine libera nos."
Spoiler: Silly OOC-Thoughts antiplant grenades do not work versus orks, do they? I am still not sure, whether Gregor should pray in the armoury or his cabin. The team was gathered in the armoury, but it feels weird to pray there. Furthermore I was not able to find a better word for "durchladen" than charge, I hope this one is correct. one toxin gas grenade, two psyk-out grenades, one hellfire clip and two kraken bolt ones. Before Gregor was kneeling in the armoury. He had already put on his equipment and was now performing the most important part of his preparations. His voice reverberated with the walls of the room as he recited the ancient prayers. Gregor went through the last verses of the rite of preparedness. The servos of his armour groaned as he left his kneeling position. While picking up the halberd Gregor adjusted the Falchion on his side. The stormbolter had been charged multiple times no need to repeat that action now. After having made one step, Gregor was already chanting another prayer: "I am a Grey Knight. I am the bolter in His hand. I am the edge of His falchion I am the tip of His halberd. My valor is the embodiment of His striving. My steadfastness is the embodiment of His intransignence. My fervour is the embodiment of His wrath. My spychic gift is the embodiment of His will. I will face whatever He wants undone. As generations of grey knights before and after me." Transit "Just one short question Inquisitor. I hate asking this question, but at which point shall we treat the templars as enemies?"
~~ Transit ~~ @High_Adept_Zeth "I fear we have no record proof of that, but only rumors. Which is one of the reasons we are coming here. However, you have to keep in mind of how many Templar, their serfs, Imperial Navy and Orks have died. There is a very high chance that Khorne could have used the accumulation of death to manifest his agents in some form." Konrad explained in a calm and calculated matter. He grunted at his own words, hating uncertainty as much as the scions of mars probably did. But after the suspicion seemed great enough to get Marburgs interest in this case apparently. @Schalli "On my order, or when they shoot at us." the Inquisitor said, meeting the eyes of the Grey Knight with a burning passion, almost as if he hoped they would be foes. Or perhaps he already knew...? OOC: Landing going to be tomorrow - feel free to ask questions, make plans, interact with each other (or me!) until then. OOC:Took only one grenade considering my not entire combat role.And...one Vortex Grenade is OPness in itself... Nodding in acknowledgement to Lord Inquisitor`s answer,Zeth turned around watching the retinue for the first time in their full battle-gear.Grey Knights in their holy power armors were an indeed a sight to behold and to Hyspasian they were still a wonder,a miracle of purity, even if he served with the various Inquisitors and Lord Dragons for three decades. Despite the passive awe he felt in the presence of these exceptional characters and divine warriors of the Omnissiah,Hyspasian`s mind was elsewhere. Shouldn't the Navigator aboard Perfectus feel the disturbance in the Warp around the planet? He could. He probably did if breach occurred, even before we entered into this system. If the breach has not occured...why the Lord Inquisitor would employ services of a Techpriest unless matters of the Empyrean were not involved? Techscorcist remained silent for the remainded of the flight, musing with his own hypothesis as he reflexively drew the cowl over his head.Only his bionic eyes gloomed in the darkness that the hood provided.
