The Opposite Of Rewards (ooh A Shiny Unlock...)

  1. I dont think you can just put them in detention. I mean if get play time stolen from you for accidentally killing or firing on an ally, everyone will be scared shitless to take risks. Plus orks are just role-playing when throwing grenades into melee
  2. Consider this,

If i'm a troll and I'm weapon locked for friendly fire why would I not just run in front of other people to lock their weapons?

I would almost consider docking experience. Accurate players progress faster. Reckless players take longer to advance. This wouldn't apply to Orks though.

  4. I agree weapon locking is not the solution, especially for accidental friendly fire. It should deal full damage up to a certain threshold like 10-20% health, and if a certain amount of damage has been dealt to allies within a certain preset time period a Mark is placed over your character for allies to see until you do not partake in friendly fire for a certain of time.
  5. What would the Mark actually do?

Just identify you? That's not really going to help with the problem is it?

You do realise the simplest fix to preventing friendly fire is to take away some of the player's points?

Yes I know, for players who don't have any they will just do it anyways. In that case, if they commit the crime several times they will be marked as 'A brother lost to the black rage' xD or a griefer. Should they keep doing it over a longer period of time, the next time they die they are kept in a virtual jail cell for 5 minutes...increasing each time it occurs on that day.

But you say, what if they don't die? Well I'm sure you and your friends can help them along with that :). The only problem i foresee is the sniping griefer.
  7. It's free to play so if I make accounts solely to friendly fire and grief what stops me apart from manual overhead and intervention by the GMs?

  8. This traitor mark will let people know that you've recently been shooting your allies so much it's clearly intentional, this way they will potentially be shunned and not invited into a group for a certain period of time, which doesn't take time away form them playing the game and no one dies from others dickery.
  9. I don't see the purpose of it because that won't actually get rid of the problem (Just to clarify I think Friendly Fire is as a good thing and disabling it is a massive no no)
