Quit. If we all quit, they'd have to notice the populations drop. They'd have to address the problem. We all know that feeling when your super kitted out Slugga Boy gets PWNT by a douche with a heavy bolter AFTER you've hit him from behind 3 times. The salt, the rage, the misery. The basic functionality issues. They remove in-game team VOIP so you are FORCED to use the GARBAGE chat-box. It interrupts you every screen change. Even trying to communicate is banging your head against the wall. Why do we do this to ourselves? Why do we cling on so hard? Because "WE'Z ORKSES!" and we have heart. But why constantly put ourselves through such pain and torment willingly? Just quit. Go ahead and play the other races, but quit the Orks. But it's up to you. You know the "State of the Crusade". You know what you're getting into. Continuing to play just enables your own abuse. We all know the issues. If it's so bad, quit. Think of it as going on strike.
Do both, force the devs to get the Orks to at least a stable level where they can hold their ground rather than the current curbstomp.
This will probablycause one of two things to happen: 1) NamcoBandai notices the huge population of disaatisfied players, and allows bE to slap their Early Access label back onto the build 2) NamcoBandai notices the huge population of dissatisfied players, and cancels the game entirely, leaving bE and us with nothing Because make no mistake, bE knows full well that the game is NOT ready to release, that the Orks are just not up to snuff. But I get the impression they don't have a choice
My guess is that they've done the math and figured out that they don't have enough money or projected income to finish the game. People spent only so much money on RTP and stuff but don't buy more because they just wait for the next wipe instead. Better jump the production ahead towards release to get new buyers of the game that aren't in early access and have no more wipes so we keep buying RTP. They've discovered that their situation is untenable and are forcing it ahead before they are truly cornered.
Depopulation of the faction will only make Bandai mad at bE, which will only harm the game. The Devs need data to fix the game, and the best way we can help them get it is by gritting our teef and keep fighting. The Orks can win when coordinated. The biggest burden is, I agree, the inability the voice chat. That decision baffles me.
I dunno man, I've seen too many games get eaten up by EA. The warning signs are all there: devs desperately trying to put a positive spin and convince the fans to stay positive, lay out a production roadmap that is clearly just damage control, announcing a release date that they flat-out admit they can't actually meet yet taking credit for that release date when in truth it wasn't their idea (because publishers can actually make you sign a contract in which you have to lie in order to make the publisher look good), and most importantly NEVER mentioning their publisher even once, including when it would actually make sense to do so
And people said Eldar players were whiney. Jesus fucking christ. Everyone knows the Orks are in a bad state, especially the devs. Leave it alone and continue to exemplify why you are the greatest of the 40k communities by simply not giving a fuck.
The issue is we're sick of being the punching bag of 40k. In nearly every faucet orks are simply used as fodder, and this time we were promised that wouldn't be the case. Except it is. And at least with the eldar the devs admitted they were bugged. The devs have yet to comment on the ork situation. Not to mention when the eldar were introduced it was still in the alpha state, the games launching in a week with unfinished orks. It's hard to feel the love right now.
