Rex took off running when he heard the reports of a las weapon going off inside the bunker, leaving the likes of B-Dawg and Rikard in tow. Hopefully the Arbitrator would follow, given his past but if not.. The Medic pulled out his autopistol as he came towards the entrance to the bunker, ready to shoot at the first visible threat, plagued monster or otherwise.
The shots hit Jen in her chest and neck, but failed to strike Lily. Seemingly Lily had expected someone to fire, and moved accordingly. She fired back, jabbing a round in to Andreas' right leg, and a second round missed him, but struck B-Dawg in the torso. As the firefight erupted the door was blown from its hinges. The explosion threw some of the group to the chests, and coated the bunker in dust and other crap. Two men stepped in, both were quite well armed. They scanned for opposition. Lenora fired at them, and struck one on the arm, but was cut down by their return fire for her efforts. And so ends Lenora's story. Alexis opened fire next, striking down one of the men with a shot to his torso. He fell, not dead, but injured. His comrade fired at her, but she managed to evade his fire by taking refuge behind a rockcrete wall. As Reginald and Donovan ducked for cover of their own, Jonah fired at the man in the doorway, ducking in to cover of his own. Jackie, Lory and Rikard had moved behind a table they'd overturned. The gunman stayed in the cover of the doorway, and Lily had taken cover of her own. -- ''What the fuck?'' Bruce said. ''Is that gunfire?'' ''Shit,'' Kenny muttered. ''We've gotta move. Move guys, move!'' Bruce ordered. "JACKIE! HELP JEN!" Brick ignored the door behind him, ears ringing from the detonation but his eyes were set on lily, running toward her to drive his sword through the woman's throat.
Seeing Brick closing in on her position, Lily outstretched her hand and muttered a few words. Brick's mind began to fill with images of terror, of death. It was enough to unhinge even the mightiest man. As he struggled with his visions, she cast a second spell, one which sent him flying backward, and away from her. OOC: Psyker mode, engage!
The large man slammed into a corner of the bunker, shoulders smacking roof and back a support beam before he landed face first unmoving. Frozen with terror Brick looked on into the darkness of the floor where faces emerged; gibbering figures with unnaturally wide grins in which blood streamed down between sharpened fangs and wide blood shot eyes looked on at him like prey with insane laughter overtaking all sound.
Rex rounded the corner just in time to see Brick; never was a man more aptly named, fly backwards as if hit by a chimera. Eyes roving through the smoke, he quickly locked on to a woman he didn't recognize and popped off a trio of shots. She wasn't one of the plagued monsters outside, though from what she appeared to be doing she was apparently still a monster. He didn't bother to line up for the head, aiming three towards her torso and shoulder.
& Rex's rounds struck Lily, hitting her in the arm and shoulder. The pain seemed to break her hold over Brick's mind, and the terror began to clear. Meanwhile the man in the doorway shot again, aiming at the injured B-Dawg. He was killed where he lay, this time struck in the skull. And so ends B-Dawg's story. OOC: Gonna pop off to bed, and let folks who haven't been on yet have some say in the battle.
Brick recovered slowly still in shock as the monsters vanished from view, he curled up a moment longer as if expecting them to return from a new angle, just giving him false hope. After several seconds though he became aware of the commotion all around him, Jen..that Psyker. "Oh you miserable whore...you thought your head hurt before..." Brick was up again with adrenaline thundering through his veins, charging toward Lily he went to crater her skull with the handle of his sword, repeatedly slamming it down to deal with her.
Andreas growled in pain from the shot, falling on one knee and rolling for any close by cover. He was glad that he was trained and cared little for the others but his survival. The Carbine got pulled out and he opened fire towards Lily, keeping her pinned down. OOC: Before Brick charged into her ^^
*pistol in one hand and knife in the other, Reginald stays behind cover, popping up to fire the occasional aimed shot at the intruders before ducking back down in cover* "SLAY THESE VILE HERETICS!"
