OOC: We both know what I meant / how to handle it. F5 / Warehouse 1 Rooftop "Well that is number one." He spoke to himself as he took aim with his Carbine and shot a single... Abomination in it's head, seeing if they would even look where it came from. The rumbling against the door he had 'sealed' gave him an uneasy feeling. But Andreas already had an escape plan if they ever would get the door open.
OOC Just asking akragth but how will you do the infection. from what i know the patient has to die first then they turn SO how long does infection take to kill them and revive? Jackie went over quickly to her friend becka and began using her medic first disinfecting the wounds then putting pressure and putting bandages and guasse over them to stop the bleeding. "Dont worry becka I Am doing my best. as soon as she was finished she could hear jeffs screaming it stayed in her mind as some tears began to well up. Another person gone. she thought to herself. "Dont worry Becka we Will do what we can to make it out. She then quickly went over to bruce. "I Got becka patched up But i dont Know what it will do." She said to bruce quickly before looking to the barricade and the things out there. "I Dont want to become one of those things." She said outloud some terror was in her voice
Rex wouldn't waste another bullet now that most of the party had made it into the warehouse, "Buzzsaw, get your frakkin' ass in here, break off!" He ducked into the building, looking for any materials to barricade the the entrance with. Hopefully at the doors Bruce and Buzzsaw might be able to stall long enough, he called to the rest of the group, "We need something to reinforce the door!"
More of the horde were diverted toward Andreas' positon. Some ran, whilst others walked, and they were staring to pile up outside the sealed door, banging against it. [-1 ammo] OOC: Just for future reference, carbines are shit at range. You're ok here, but if you were firing across more than one grid square the shot wouldn't reach, it'd fizzle out first. OOC: Good question. The lore doesn't seem to say, so I'll say it can vary from an hour, to a few hours, from infection to death and reanimation. That way it's a bit unpredictable and not linear. As an aside, the group don't actually know about the reanimation thing, yet. Alexis and Jen moved further in, and managed to find a few heavy items. A bookshelf, a refridgerator, a couple of tables and a couch. Not exactly ideal, but beggas can't be choosers. ''I need a hand moving these,'' Jen said.
Jeffs death provided Buzzsaw the chance he needed to retreat, running into the building he slams the door behind him and braces it with his shoulder. "Git sumtin ta block da door, fore dey git in!"
Pulling back inside alongside Buzzsaw Brick slammed himself up against the door, using one meaty arm to bar it against the horde while his blade was kept ready in case they managed to wedge themselves through or even break down the door. "Any time now folks!"
Rex rushes over to help the two with the fridge, "Carry it horizontally, block both doors. Then we'll grab the rest, move, move!" After much grunting, cursing, and effort they are throwing the fridge against the doors. "Next! Someone cover the doors just in case!"
OOC: I knew about the range efficiency but not exactly how to translate into the RP. F5 / Warehouse 1 'Better run, only thing that could save them would be a heavy Bolter...' He thought to himself and quickly ran through the other side of the rooftop, looking around if he could make any Imperial Guard or such out. "BUNKER SIXTY-TWO IS STILL ALIVE AND SAFE!!!" Andreas yelled into the distance, perhaps someone would hear it. That done he holstered the Las Carbine and went for the west wall, taking the ladder and sliding down on it on the fire-ladder and sprinted it down, hoping to make for the west and then north and ultimately make it back to the bunker. OOC: F/G4 is where I intend to end up at after fire ladders.
OOC: Assume everyone still alive, in the main group, is now inside the building. I cba writing a small description of each one entering ''Stop standin around and fucking help,'' Jen said, now stressing her point. The horde pressed against the door, and tested even Buzz's and Brick's immense frames. Kenny leaned in, lending his muscle as they awaited something to help keep the door closed. Even with the fridge in place, Kenny, Buzzsaw and Brick stayed. The weight appliance was certainly helping, but wouldn't be enough alone. [Map updated. The mainstay of the horde are after the main group, but there would be the odd straggler in your way. Feel free to dispatch.]
Rex, Alexis, and Jen quickly muscled the bookshelf atop the refrigerator, followed by the couch behind the pile, then the tables, eventually pushing the trio covering the door out of the way as they barricaded the door to the point no one would have known there was a door there, if not for the pounding of zombies. He felt like falling over once it was all said and done, painting from the effort. Unfortunately he couldn't, Rex glanced over to see if their injured had been tended to and was grateful Nurse Davenport had accompanied the group. There was a strong urge to check her work, but after working together for the last six months to keep the bunker's occupants, there was a degree of trust there. Instead, between gulps of air he suggested, "Should look.. for exits... Emperor's Bones this is a bad start!"
