Buts thats the kind of game breaking stuff you have to consider ahead of time. Want an example look up Jack in evolve vs wraith. He can literally prevent all forward movement with a skill that slows anything that comes towards him.
This would be true, but bear in mind that the grav cannon currently has a range of 60 meters*, so we can assume that all grav weapons will be limited in range. So even if they were to have a spread instead of pinpoint accuracy, the effect would be limited. I would also like to state that I am not in favor of giving the weapon a spread *: 47:30 of the twitch stream 21.10.2016 (10/21/2016 for Americans).
Imo it should have exponential dmg growth and slow closer you are to user. Then it would be an anti melee gun primarily. It should also stop JPA type forward dash. This opens up development on other races getting possible similarities.
And if it can stop jump assault, can it stop swooping hawks from jumping? Because that would be nice.
At the very least, this should make tank hunting more interesting. Does it just slow movement or will it slow ranged attacks too?
Yeah, I skimmed the twitch, and I'm pretty up for everything else they showed, just wondering on that one point. Also, I don't necessarily think it needs a large spread (you shouldn't be able to cover 2 people at once), but I do think a small thin "cone" would be nice, just to keep your single target acquired a little easier.
