Oh man, this content update is going to take 3 months to do, what can we do instead... "errr we can change the colour of the venerable chainswords in 1 week" Okay do that! 1 week later - Oh man this content update is still 3 months long what can we do instead?
ItsGary if I had a dollar for every time you posted something negative I wouldn't have to moderate forums ever again. That said if you can do better by all means go get the rights to an IP and go make a better game.
Your complaint seems to be that you backed a product that showed the intention/dream and then you get annoyed when they cant do what they wanted or its not as neat or it doesnt match the concept art knowing full well it could change at any point. "It's literally just a chest plate glued to the front of 'eavy armor with 0 other model changing features" "The Loota still floats when vaulting" "General lack of polish" They also did not say its a finished product. You also seem to have some sort of Ork bias assuming that the balance is final and what you have is how its going to remain. They have said multiple times non of the balance changes are final and things are constantly being looked at. Remember that no matter the patch 1 thing is always going to be the worst, the time will come when the Painboy may be the best support. You have now learned the biggest reason to not back products early and instead wait to see progress. Hopefully you wont back a product in the future and you see why it is such a bad way to do things.
Negative feedback is still feedback, point still stands that they appear to put stuff off because it will take longer and instead work on quicker issues and then the next it gets brought up the concern is that its still 3 months away atleast. Mandible Blasters are a prime example, How long have they been missing? How much closer would we be to them if they just put them in. Its a core part of the kit for the Eldar and its just missing. But they can manage to quickly put in a made up item to ensure that LSM can debuff. I haven't once claimed to be able to do anything better then they can, Nor have I implied it. Negatives usually show up more purely because people don't compliment as much as they should but everyone is quick to point out problems. I enjoy the game a lot, It has its issues and the more they are highlighted the more likely an answer is given or a solution is provided.
But Negative feedback when you are insulting the devs at every turn is not good feedback because would you want to read something by someone who is known for insulting you? You can have your issues and feedback can be given but you need to realize its how you present it that will either get your feedback looked at or ignored.
So you're going to tell me that the tiny chest plate glued to the front of a pre existing model in game is worth 10k and it's of the same quality of the LSM/CSM/Eldar chest pieces they have ? Of course I'm ork bias and I admit I am but this doesn't excuse the fact that literally NOTHING the orks have gotten are up to the same standards of quality of the other races things. As far as the game not being a finished product it's becoming quiet clear that it's never going to be finished. It's not like I'm bitching that the open world is never coming or how lackluster the pve is or how the multiple biomes that were promised months before early access went live are now scrapped.... No I'm complaining about the fact that the orks have not got nearly as much care as the other races and are still missing 2 weapon types which is a big deal... I mean think of what would happen if the LSM were missing 2 weapon types they would fly off the fucking handle and it would be a big deal in game as well.... I'm wrong to be pissed that 2 weapon types that were announced 4 years ago for the orks are not in game and have had 0 updates in over 2 years even though backers actually paid for them... AKA cash money.... Then you get shit like LSM getting unplanned weapons and items... It's bull shit. Not saying that Eldar get as much love as lsm/csm because they don't and I admit they have issues but ork problems are on a whole other level I mean at least they don't have a heavy class that floats in the air for a second after vaulting while trying to run from someone.... I mean that bug has literally been around since day 1 of ork release which is quiet a long time now. I can go on and on but seeing as you're a recruit I'm assuming you have only just picked up the game recently and all of these problems just seem like something recent.... No... They are actually issues that have been building for a long time.
You backed a product early risking your investment, You did not pay for a something and have it guaranteed you invested and it did not pay off. The cosmetics are only worth what you are willing to pay, They have 0 impact on the game and if its not worth it then don't buy it. If you bought it earlier based on "this is what we are aiming for" then again, You took a risk and it didnt pay off. YOu are correct, I bought the game a few weeks back, I bought it based on what it is now now what they aimed for or what they were promising, I was happy to pay what I did for what I got. "'am wrong to be pissed that 2 weapon types that were announced 4 years ago for the orks are not in game and have had 0 updates in over 2 years even though backers actually paid for them... AKA cash money" Again, 4 years ago the vision of the game was completely different and the idea was put forward. Doing even little research you can see they realized the dream they had for the game was not possible with what funding they got or what was available to them. The team has changed so much its not the same team who envisioned it, The investment you made into the potential product failed and this is the outcome of that and the current game and team are doing what they can with what they have. Again, You risked the investment, It did not pay off, You knew the risks of backing a product that did not exist and you took it, If you did not know the risks or that the game could not be what you expected then you are the only one to blame. Seriously the sooner peopel realize that pre orders, Crowd funding and investing are all risks and not guarantees the better. (thats not aimed at you but its aimed at the gaming industry consumers...
i want my MMO multi way engangements with tyranids fighting eldar fighting orcs fighting chaos fighting loyalists thanks, only reason they changed direction was nobody could be bothered.
Its a little more then not being bothered. The unreal engine is not a great swarm engine and does not do well with hundreds of players or even AI controlled characters. Notice Spacehulk Death Wing is on that list and the lack of actual swarms is present. It just doesn't handle them well. It is great at making detailed environments and models but limits are hit when you start multiplying the amount of them. When you crank up the display settings and remember its the unreal 4 engine the game looks great but it cant look the best due to the number of players.
