So basically, venerable Space Marine items have lots of shiny gold finish, ornate detailing, medals glued on, and the Imperial Aquila? I think maybe WH40k's "venerable" translates to "ceremonial." And then Orks got it right in EC because they don't really have any ceremonial stuff, so aged, busted-up stuff would be their equivalent.
Not in 40k universe Venerable means old but taken good respect 21th century, simply take respect by putting them in museum or something. But in 40k each factions take futher great care and respects. LSM Techpriests squirts their holy oil to bless machine spirit, put some skulls, wings, and purity seals CSM Venerable enough that power of warp leech on the weapon mutated into horrifying daemonic symbols Eldar venerable weapons that it's wraithbone grown into specific shapes of their paths or something Orks they put much dakka on it
Hm. I don't think there really is an equivalent of WH40k's "venerable" in real life. When stuff gets old enough to be called venerable in real life, it's old enough that it really can't be used for its original purpose because of the risk of damaging it.
well in 40k they use..... you know why because there is only war.. even in codexes saying salamnder still using 8k old rhino, which is their relic.
They didn't even address the issue on stream *big shocker* and they ignored my question about if the orks will still see their plasma gun equivalent and kombi shoota... I mean it's not like they sold us those weapon types or anything..... I mean at least they confirmed that they hadn't even started working on the looted 'umie bolter which is a RELIC ITEM for the orks model yet... I mean nah.. No need to really give love to orks yet again... They should have showed what the looted 'umie armor looks like from the back... It's literally just the 'eavy armor back plate.... The looted 'umie armor is just the tiny chest plate stuck to the 'eavy armor chest plate... I'm honestly furious right now.
I have never seen development team apologized for breaking what they said... they just simply ignoring it and ignoring it....
Yeah. Defining what counts as venerable in WH40k is the kind of thing where you can't refer to a dictionary or encyclopedia and just tell someone who's unfamiliar with 40k, "Venerable, man! Just, venerable! Make it look venerable!" because they're going to make, well, what we currently have as venerable weapons. Stuff that looks rusty and useless due to being thousands of years old.
