The new DLCs are bull. Way to slap the vets in the face.

This is where you are abit shortsighted. First of all you cannot buy the items on steam with RTC which many people have stocked up, first major disadvantage. Second of all you can buy the pack but you will not get a refund for all the items you already purchased (ingame) since the package is not flexible. Means that in the worst case Scenario you pay 17,99-20 € for the 2 new and exclusive items in that bundle not getting any discount, if that is even possible. Last but not least people get annoyed that the new imperium pack contains bundles worth of 4*20€ and actually looks good. While the old package contained the venerable weapons which are perceived by the majority as not the best artwork skins out there. Now somone like you might raise the argument that the existing players already got an additional 20k RTC before f2p was announced (outside of the initial 20k RTC which are included in both the old version and the imperium version) but this would still not cover those 4*2 old items (helms, shoulders, torso) in the pack contained which were purchased by existing players at full price somewhere in the ballpack of 70k. Additionally if they stick with it, now pricing items like the torsos for newer players differently, it would be a slap in the face to all those eldar players who rightfully complained and campaigned to get their cosmetics for 10k RTC in price reduced and were -on show- told by the developers that they see the issue, are 100% with them and would not change prices just yet because they have no way of refunding RTC yet and in the sake of fairness for everyone who has bought the item already would keep the price structure intact.

    Free bundles?

    Where?

They say the venerable weapons are getting a facelift but I have a feeling it's going to be a very cheap facelift in the form of changing colors based on faction or something. The LSM I'm sure will get something much better looking but the rest of the factions are to few players to really be worth catering to them in such a way.

I know the ork one will probably just have the squares on the weapon change colors at the very least since ork items historically in EC have been very low quality.

Well, EC is a pretty low-budget game.

Hmm as a founder from way back (that's right my ass was here pretty much since they were selling the 40 something buy into alpha back when it was just terrible alpha game play of CSM vs LSM and flying rhinos and predators... god I miss that rolling melee attack) I think... meh

I mean I get it, I understand what people here are getting at but honestly? Who cares the venerable weapons look like shit, who cares they look like they've seen alot crap and have been beaten up once or twice on the way and the new DLC are all shiny...

Most of you seem to (not all and no I have not read all 13 pages of your responses) not quite understand that the dev's need money. And no I don't mean hey they want more I mean they NEED money.

You want terminators? they need money to keep the staff they have and pay for the building costs for the next x-months to get there. Same with every other wish list item out there... the devs NEED money coming in on the balance sheet to make that happen.

This game has launched (so they say) and they won't be getting anymore people throwing money to buy the game so that income is done.

They don't charge for ingame servers use (monthly sub) so no income there.

They HAVE to keep milking people for what are in reality completely useless shiny cosmetics.

That is likely why your not just getting them as vets... they need your money.

What did you expect that the game would be free forever and the servers would be kept on through the eternal bitching about melee/range meta?

I had suggested they charge for a premium mode ala world of tanks style, lord knows they need the money and I'm sure new players would love a boost to catch up on the req and advancement point + xp to the vets.

Either way I mean its not like these are P2W weapons with added on DoT's or get around the LP cost of other weapons. If that was the case then yeah I would be pretty upset with them.

But just shiny weapon skins to get the whales to buy it?

Who cares that your not getting it for free. I don't cause maybe cause I understand how games get made and development cycles and that shit ain't free and I like that this is how they are trying to raise that said income because there is alot worse ways to go about it in the F2P markets.

Originally it wasn't low budget they just blew the majority of the budget of the piko tech that failed horribly. Since then it's been low budget.

As I said, Noah expects them to be available on the RTC store soon so get that off the list please. The second point is basically fixed and going along side first one. About the "Packages". You see, the imperium package is basically like a bundle of 4 bundles and, as it is, does not connect in any way to venerable weapons which were NOT In a bundle. You got them by literally owning the game before release. You practically got them for free. Also 1 thing is that the older players, afaik, usually had around 60-100k RTC lying around depending on the founder level. So you already had enough money to pay off for those items if you just spared it. But actually the 20k RTC would cover up those items since when they come in a bundle, which, as I confirmed, is being done, they will probably cost like 10k rtc like any other bundle. And yes most of the rest of your post, correct me if I'm wrong, is about the pricing. And you're completely and utterly right. And the devs know that and know they did a mistake and once we see those items reach store bundles we should see that issue slowly fixed.

And let me tell you, you can refund RTC by asking nicely to support and telling them a valid reasno why you don't actually "like" those items you bougth with RTC (And I think you keep the items, not sure) So if they get enough feedback from that it would probably speed up the process of getting them into bundles.

"They" you mean PREVIOUS DEVS, not these ones.

Hate to say it but just because the devs changed doesn't mean the developer as a whole changed.... It was bE then and it's bE now... Nothing has changed in that regard. Just because employees change doesn't mean a business changes.

Yes but either way plans changed and to be honest, just because they use the same name doesn't mean much. A completely different group changes everything except the actual name and that's like blaming germany for what nazis did. Bad example but it works
