Honestly the dlc feels like a massive slap in the face..... They come with the imperium edition btw meaning us founders literally got upgraded to the bare minimum squadron edition.... I honestly feel insulted as a captain level founder.... Honestly the dlc screams cash grab..... That's another red flag. Goes free to play within 6 months of "launch" and soon as it goes free to play it launches it with over priced dlc packs while at the same time only upgrading founders to the bare minimum premium pack. Yup they are done with us founders. lol they are still selling items that are not in game... That's kinda ironic. They'll get put in fast though since people are buying them right now... Those of us who bought things in the past they don't really need to make happy.... Still waiting on my pioneer items. Watch them completely ignore the subject.
Overpriced....? They are getting pretty hefty discount on that. Weapon+armor alone are worth 20k RTC and they are getting 4 things.
True I guess. doesnt excuse them giving the lowest pack to founders and backers though. I still think they are going to skirt around the problem people are having today.
I like how people actually believe they will put any effort into the venerable weapon pack. Who is gonna pay for this? You really expect them to pay someone to go through the 3d models and pimp them up? Best you can hope for is some texture work. From a business standpoint, i get why they did what they did, but lets be honest with ourselves... its really the whole issue with Video Gamers that believe that somehow creating video games isn't a business, and that for some reason you should be somehow be rewarded for being a customer. Video game developers aren't your friends. They aren't your buddies. They don't make video games to make you a favor... they make video games because it makes them money. You, me, everyone here... we are absolutely inconsequential beyond being wallets that make dollar rain. I've been waiting for more than 2 decades for people to start to realize that.... but still you have fools promoting Kickstarter, Early Access and whatnot, as if they are anything but a way to make more money. Kickstarters are just a way to cut out an investor you would have to pay more money back to than he gave you (they usually expect return on investment)... and early access is just a means to save money for hiring playtesters. Why hire someone to play you game, when you can have people that will pay YOU for it. They aren't going to pay someone for a month or so to create new models for the venerable weapons, and they aren't going to give you/us the stuff they make for free. Heck, at this point i am not even sure they'll uphold their promise for us to get all expansions for free. I am sure they'll happily sell us Terminators and Elites. Nothing on that big poster on the store page says "free Veteran and Elites". All it says is free expansions. For everything else they can charge you through the nose. And fully expect them to charge you through the nose for it... just go and look at the Eldar. A simple Texture change from white to black on a Banshee costs 10000 RTC. Changing from white to black... nothing more. The same texture, just black. 10 bucks. I think we can be lucky if Elites cost less than 30 bucks, and potentially can't even be bought with the Faction RTC. They already charge you 10k for a breast plate and a texture color change... what do you think they'll charge you for an entire model?! For the venerable weapons... hope for texture changes.. i think that is the best you can hope for at this point. You'll not get new swag. I don't believe it. But hey, you'll get another copy for a game you already have, so you can give it to a friend, who then will spend more money in their shop.... They are not doing it for you... they are doing it for money.
