Once again I am simply amazed at how some people can dismiss obvious issues and give it a label like "negativity bandwagon" as if anyone who has anything bad to say is clearly just out to sully the sterling reputation of the game, because nothing is wrong with EC or the fact it "launched" with Beta quality (for $50 no less) and it will be awesome in a few months, maybe a year. *Meanwhile, Behavior Interactive remains disturbingly silent, making no statements of any kind to try and alleviate legitimate concern or curb negative reception by the public*
If the game was good it would have good reviews. It wouldn't be mixed, it would have a higher player count and it would have more discussion and less complaints overall. Instead its got a huge list of issues that need to be addressed immediately and we have yet to hear any word from the devs this week. Speaks volumes.
I agree with this, it's Tuesday now, and there hasn't been any word given about anything? I'll support this game and the devs, but only if they are going to stay vocal with the community, and actively finish and improve the game.
For what it was supposed to be, the game is bad. Atrocious, even. But for what it is? It's alright. It's not great, and that's what I expected, for £120. And for people who didn't pre-order, £40 or so. It's an alright, over priced game. Then again, all release games these days from triple A stuff are in the £40, which is still too much for most stuff. It's fun, and I can have fun playing it. But it's a pale shadow of what it was meant to be.
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't you only have a two hour window to put in for a refund from steam ? If people aren't enjoying themselves and feel this isn't a game for them why should they put more time in and give it a chance just to get stuck with a game they clearly didn't enjoy in the first couple hours ? Now are some of these review simply bandwagon hate ? Well if people are leaving reviews simply saying they bought it to hate on it, leave a bad review and get a refund then it's pretty hard to deny that. Those reviews however aren't really going to make a difference though are they ? Any level headed customer interested enough to purchase the game isn't going to take that review seriously. Why shouldn't people down vote positive reviews ? If people are buying the game just to hate on it and refund there are just as many people giving it a positive review and saying things that the upset consumers don't agree with. If people down vote negative reviews because of the way they feel about things don't we deserve the same in return ? And how is anything remotely negative automatically bandwagon hate ? As far as I can see there is a lot of justified disappointment here. And "Not launch ready" is absolutely, 100% valid in my mind and what really cracks me up is the whole "you paid for early access what did you expect" defense from a lot of people defending what's going on here. Not one of us founders backed this game for and early access title, if this was still in alpha or beta and people were losing their minds like they are now I would agree with that defense. The truth of the mater is the game released unfinished and it really doesn't matter if they had to ship it out or not, it's not even close to complete and people have a right to be upset about that. Now with all that said, there are in fact some wildly rediculous negative reviews that should be culled no questions asked, whole heatedly agree, but the same can be said on both sides of the coin, negative and positive alike.
