The LSM melta is perfect.

EDIT : After someone really tested my impression, I was wrong. Melta isn't influenced by the side you're firing on, but I think it should be, and I hope the devs want it as well.

    - Two entire load no matter the side you're firing on.
    - Add another load if you kept some distance or if you don't aim for the back.
    - One entire load will destroy any infantry at 10'.
    - Add another load if you aimed a shield or if you kept some distance or if you missed a lot.

Destroying vehicles is easy if you are equipped, close and unnoticed. It's way harder if you just rush in open field to reach a watched vehicule.

I haven't tested other meltas, but the standard melta is balanced and efficient as it is. However, I do know that firedragons are kinda OP at this job (mix of speed, resistance, small hitbox, etc...) but this will be adressed soon.

Remember the melta from previous patch : entire load at close range and your opponent just loose it's armor. It's over now. Yay.

    EDIT : typos.
  2. Balance doesnt mean the weapon is ok when fired into a tanks arse, but compared to other weapons of other factions.

    And its "vehicles".
  3. Not to nitpick, but I'm am almost certain that Meltas do not care about which vehicle side they are on, or if they do it is a negligible damage difference.

If someone would like to make a video of exclusively burning Rhinos/Preds in the ass and then killing them burning them from the front only I would love to see it. One from sides as well if feeling extra frisky.

I swear I've seen no difference or hardly any difference in damage output. Which, if accurate, is really bad.

I'm glad you're happy with your melta, you don't have to face it without having a version yourself to use.

Give orks a meltagun! Or buff the rokkit launcher to the same ttk on vehicles!

Oops, I'm french and somehow tired today, I haven't noticed how I wrote vehicles.

Regarding balance, yeah it has to be crossed with other meltas, but also independantly, you can't say the multimelta is balanced because it's dealing more damage than the melta while the latter is obliterating vehicles at 50m.

I've had the impression that it made a difference. I'll focus on this next time I'm using it.

Pokkit rokkit is a joke indeed. I don't have the points to buy the rokkit launcher yet.

There does seem to be a difference, but it is so negligible it's pointless. You can blow up a vehicle with a single melta charge if you're RIGHT up its ass, but you can't do that from the side or front. Still, most people use meltabomb + melta and at that point it doesn't matter where you hit a vehicle.

And reduce the range to 20 meters with 5 meters effective range?

  9. Let us not forget also that Chaos boys get one just like it.

Yes, that would be fine. Because it never hits where you point it at greater than five meters. Its that shit.

If the missile could go 20m in a straight line I'd think it might be a problem. Right now it's lucky to go 5m in a straight line and it still does bugger all damage to vehicles.

Meltagun ttk on vehicles... 10 seconds max.
Rokkit launcha ttk on vehicles... Bring a book and a sandwich as you'll be there a while.
