Orks actually love a good squigar (definitely using that term now) every now and then! As Bossaroo said, they are made of squig skin, stuffed with all manners of highly odorous and noxious mushrooms. Unlike humies who are addicted to the chemical compounds located within cigars and other smoking apparatus, Orks genuinely love the smell produced by these rank little pieces of fungus tobacco. Oddboyz (especially in the Bad Moons and Blood Axes) compete amongst themselves to create the most offensive smelling squigars or Ogryn bone pipes mixtures around. In fact, after the competition has died down, and their stock of smoking fungus has run out, they simply stick a meks oily rag into their pipes and smoke that. According to a human adviser within a Blood Axe tribe, "the smell is absolutely indescribable." Additionally, smartboyz are often found smoking from pipes, if only to heighten their so called "knowledgeable look", the jumped up weedy gitz.... And for those that think cigars are an ork only thing, please refer back to the Ursarkar E. Creed model.
Really? I just assumed they looted the cigars from the humans and smoked them because it looked cool. Then again, would human cigars probably wouldn't give Orks any sort of nicotine high due to being to weak for an Ork to feel anything (if that's even the reason they smoke them on the first place) Which means an Ork squigar would probably just outright kill a man
I once caught one of my recruits smoking an Ork cigar so I made him smoke the whole pack. There were no survivors.
Makes you wonder if orks do ork varients of human drugs now. Like do orks have do their own version of cocaine or orky ecstasy? Plus think how effective an ork komando squad would be if they light up right before they attacked someone. The 2nd hand smoke would totally be a chemical warfare tactic.
The Orks #1 admirable fighting partner, aside from themselves, is the Imperium of man. I'd not be surprised if they smoke Cigars, much like they wear commissar's hats, to copy the humans warlike badass vibe in their upper ranks. Orks are all about the looks, the dakka, the choppy, the flash. And they do it well and copy it well.
Not just them, no. All orks love a good punch-up against 'umies. It's because the 'umies have the biggest armies, give the bestest fights and all the loot they can use too. Eldar are too pansy. Chaos are too few. Tyranids don't have any scrap to steal. Necrons are proper dull. Tau are always effortless in melee choppy. Only Orks, Space marines, and Guardsmen can give Orks the fight they desire. (Perhaps warriors of Khorne!) Heck, just look at armageddon.
