"I should not argue about the matters of war. It matters little to nothing to me, you should know that by now - master." Vanilus replied with a smile. "If you want to critique artwork, then I doubt you would argue much about it with me either, would you?"
  2. Sigvald Darthy Curator

"Probably not." he conceded "Though I would argue it might be argue worthy if you consider war an artform." he chuckled.

"War is not art. Though war can be won with art." Vanilus added, finding the twist of the conversation interesting, but that is why he also enjoyed the Chaos Sorcerer Lord, he was smart and found conversing and philosophizing interesting, not as a waste of time. A man with intellect, is a man that earned respect by Vanilus. Which is why he had yet to respect the soon-to-be duelists.
  4. Gak saw Sigvald and noded back, after a bit of strugle he managed to get up and proceded to leave the area to get some rest, it was a long jorney to get to Lash Of Loesh. Before he left he looked at the group and said "Hopes it will be a worthy fight" and by that he left the room.

(I also need some rest, see you guys later ;))
  5. Kheroth was the last of the group to reach the dueling arena, conversing with other marines along the way.
He stopped beside Sigvald, and gestured towards Aradax. "Is he mad?" he said as he let out a brief laugh.
The Raptor was nearly twice the pirate lord's height, and surely twice as fast and twice as strong as well, there was nothing that the pirate lord had over Nero... but Kheroth waited to see if the mortal had a trick or two up his sleeve.
  6. "Ccer'Ablae'Dhan thirsts, but she will not feed tonight. Consider yourself lucky that Sigvald has disallowed mortal wounds tonight. He flexed the talons, they seemed to quiver with a sickly golden light." He pointed to one of the slaves that awaited in the halls. "Slave, hold my pistol, bring a friend..." The slave scuttered down to him, head bowed arms held high to receive the holy weapon, Nero placed it in his arms, and the slave nearly dropped to the ground from the weight. Despite being a pistol, the weapon was at least the size of the slave's torso, and likely weighed as much as him. Another slave came to his aid, and felt the brunt of Nero's grenade belt.

"It would seem you're to fight this bird with clipped wings. I wouldn't want to accidentally incinerate you."

"Indeed. Very well" replied Aradax. He moved to his remaining party member and handing him his heavy ChainSword. He then walked to a nearby Weapons Rack and picked up a blade that was appropriate for his size, a little longer then half his size. "Disarm, and select your weapon so we may begin, Chosen Champion"

Aradax walked to the far end of the arena getting as fa away from Nero as possible, while still in the ring.
  8. Nero approached another weapon rack and chose a similar blade for himself, this one the entire length of Aradax. "I said she would not feed." He chuckled, "We do not part. You can clip a bird's wings, but you can't take away its claws." The lightning claw was connected to his right arm, so he would be dueling left handed.

"All the same" yelled Aradax. "Begin when you are ready"
  10. Nero moved to the center of the arena, it was awe inspiring. The daemonic relief sculptures, gilded cages. But the sound, oh how the sound was such rapture. He closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath through his nose, taking in all of the smells, breathing in the sounds. He held the blade in front of him, between his body and Aradax. "Whats that little parrot? Don't wish to make the first step?"

He began the slow approach, blade held aloft one handed in front of him in a duelists stance, body flat to the blade. Talons in a clenched fist roughly at his own head height.
