"I... was attacked by Evil, but the Astartes helped me... helped me, helped me become good again." She flashed her teeth in a slightly demented smile. "Thank you." Wasting no further time, the woman raised her arms. "ALL THOSE WHO WOULD BE MAN ENOUGH - or woman enough I suppose, hm? - TO DEFEND YOUR HOME, DOWN BY THE BLOCK AND THEN THE LEFT PATH! COME WITH ME! WEAPONS! ARMOR! FOLLOW ME DOWN THE LEFT HAND PATH! SALVATION LIES DOWN THE LEFT HAND PATH!" Repeating this over and over again, she moved as per the Sergeant's instructions, as a voice intruded into her head, sounding much like her master. But Master said to ignore voices, and so she did.
<Kaireth I-Governor's Palace-Trella Makerious> Trella suppressed a curse as the scene unfolded before her eyes, as on the one hand this unforeseen intervention could be the chance she needs to deliver judgement upon the governor, but the news of Tyranids in the sector means that there was a bigger problem than a heretical Governor. Not to mention that Chaos marines were in the room, and proving that it was either a Heretical Governor or Chaos Space Marines that might lead the fight against the greater threat of the Tyranids. Seeing as the Sorcerer was intent on staying, he at least had Trella's grudging respect compared to the Governor, who was now in Trella's sights.... As she was picking the lesser of two evils, as at least the Sorcerer had a good intention, unlike the Governor and therefore she would be right to deal with the Governor first. With her brief break over, she took aim at the Governor's head and loaded a magazine of normal Exitus rounds into her rifle as she didn't want to waste special ammunition on a normal target, steadied her breath and adjusted her sights for the point blank range that she was firing from, and then fired her rifle at the Governor's head. The price of defying the Imperium's will would be made apparent to the people of the world, if not the Chaos Space Marines, with that single round.
KAIRETH 1 - Governors palace With a meaty splooge the head explodes in a bursts of Gore. The governor falls fowards onto the floor clearly dead. The corpse splattering Gore everywhere. The guardsmen around the governour looks shocked.
"Well that will make judgment complicated." Lykus first stated and then looked at the guardsmen. "I can assure you that, that was not done by me. Must have been an assassin sent by the Officio Assassinorum already on concern of heresy. If that is the case of course, then it only supports my opinion and the High Lords of Terra decided to do something in case the Governor would betray us Astartes." He explained them and then moved over to his champion. @MetalDog4 "Captain." He started. "Thank you for the reinforcement, although it was not truly required. Either way. We must prepare Kaireth for war, and now with the Governor out of the way, there is nobody to object anymore. Go to the Imperial Regiment headquarters and get them to aid us in creating order. I shall correspond with local forces to ship supplies and create a general stratagem to stop the Tyranids." Lykus left no room for questioning as he walked down the hallway to the other room where the Vox-operator sat. "Operator. Immediately contact all surrounding planets to ship every capable soldier to the Industrial sector. As much ammunition, weapons and rations as possible are to be taken along. Furthermore contact local PDF to give their chimeras to aid transporting ammo, weapons and rations. Themselves they are to get children and their mothers to the Space Port for evacuation, all men are to get to the Industrial sector, get a weapon and organize under my Astartes and other troops. Furthermore inform the population of the Kaireth Sub-Sector that the High Lords of Terra just executed the Lord Governor for heresy through a member of the Officio Assassinorum." That said, he marched on where the Governors private rooms would be, curious what he might find.
KAIRETH 1 - Governours palace As the sorcerer takes a step, a strange sound would emitt from the corpse, it becomes louder and louder untill it finally is clear that it is a deep snd glutteral laugh. The corpse begins to move, slowly stand up. "I see the god of change is attempting to Clarion this system. Go away it is ours!" The voice is deep and slow, but as the guardsmen that where guarding the governor alSo begins to laugh does it all become too clear. In the middle of the room, a small Rift is opening and with a loud crackle the corpse of the governor begins to turn into a herald of nurgle. "Papa nurgle claims this world,"
The Sorcerer just shook his head. "Take care of him." He walked on to complete his task. OOC: Did whatever you denied me before and leave the fight up to 2 Rubrics + @MetalDog4
OOC: It would be quite clear that the voice was the Champion's, as he had already protected you from the other voices with the runes on your armor. "It shall be done my Lord, your new apprentice is proving her worth already and has begun that process." He strode forward with a smile, a chance to kill the servants of Nurgle was only slightly below a chance to kill those of the Corpse-Emperor. The two Rubrics poured Bolter fire into the changing body as Arani drew his sword and in one deft motion slammed it into the body of the transforming Daemon, the runes in his armor glowing brightly as the Daemon was forced back into the Warp, closing the portal behind it. "Tell Nurgle he shall have no sway over these worlds, they belong to Tzeentch and his faithful, the Thousand Sons!"
KAIRETH 1 - Governors palace. The deamon falls to the floor, dissapearing with a growl. The Rift closes again as the guardsmen are even more afraid now. They tries to escape the building, as the cowards they are.
