Yriel audibly growled at the Governor's impertinent speech. How dare he speak to the Master's Master like this?! How dare he question his glorious magnificience? A quick glance was shot at Arani by her, a bit unsure how to relieve this... indignant rage! She wasn't one for impotent bawling, but she was also forbidden to simply destroy something. Dropping her halberd, the woman screamed, spoke up, climbing atop the railing of the balcony they were standing on. "WOULD YOU TRUST A MAN WHO HAS NEVER SHOWN HIMSELF AMONG US?! HOW COULD YOU?!! THE ASTARTES - THESE GLORIOUS, GLORIOUS ANGELS - HAVE COME TO SAVE US, AND YOU WOULD DENY THEIR GRACIOUSNESS?! WE'RE MERELY LITTLE BAWLING LAMBS, UNABLE TO EVEN STAND! AND AS THE SHEPHERDS COME TO PROTECT US, COME PERSONALLY, YOU WOULD SEND THEM AWAY?! THEY HAVE SHOWN ME THE TRUTH, ONE OF YOU, ONE OF US, WE'RE ALL ONE PEOPLE!" She did not expect to be heard, but it felt good.
The contagion advanced through whatever orks came near it. It had left a trail of pox marked ork corpses behind it while it searched for more tyranids. It's tentacles lashed out side to side, impaling orks, blood pouring from the wounds torn through their chests.
KAIRETH 2 - Orks The orks runs away from the slow mocking cloud. They look at it from afar and speaks to eachother. This is not a foe mere numbers can defeated easily. A couple of burnas charges towards the cloud beginning to shoot gouts of flame at the venomthrope. In the meantime is the Broodmother tired of the stand still. No devouring happens while the carnifexes and the kilacans battle. She growls a bit and th rest of the swarms charges forwards , past the killakans and straight at the ork horde. They Clash with the sound of thunder as shootas blaze and heads gets torn appart. The Broodmother hisses as she watches the line. She thunders forwards a bit.
"We are the chapter of the Golden Cobra, as you can tell by my chapter symbol on my pauldron. The Ultramarines of Macragge have fought on their very home within their chapters fortress monastery and stopped the assault while sacrificing their entire first company, all heroes and guilty of protecting all other worlds of the realms of Ultramar. While during other attacks where entire worlds were sacrificed, the Tyranids still roam on the dead worlds. You would not help, you would make it worse. We are not going to be defeated, we are going to destroy them. You are just too scared to even try fighting! You probably run by just a dog barking at you! You are the scum of the Imperium, a dirty heretic, incapable of saving anyone's life and just extending your own misery upon others!" Lykus spoke as calm as before, not even slightly moved by the Governors words.
KAIRETH 1 - Governours palace The governour stares at the man. He frowns. As he turns off the speakers "I do no such thing. This world can't protect against that sort of assault. We can at most weaken it. THis way we can detonate the industries while the evacuationships fly to safety. WHILE the assault ships attacks the weakened hive fleet. It is a way to destroy the hive fleet "my lord""
"Are you not listening that my chapter brings reinforcements? An entire chapter deployment along with bodies of the Imperial Navy will stop this assault. There is nothing the Tyranids can do against the Angels of Death and the Imperial Citizens. Flee and you die a week later, among with trillions of other Imperial World because you allowed the Hive Fleet to spread. They are small and concentrated right here, right now. Destroy them, or doom the Imperium. The only ones going to evacuate are children and their mothers. Everyone else shall receive a Las Rifle to either live on as a hero, or die as Loyalist. But to run like a coward, will deem you worthless in the God Emperors eyes, for he has given YOU, Lord Governor, the responsibility to care for this sub-sector and ALL of it's people. You abandon only one, you abandon them all. But you just want to run, the first evacuation ship that would be ready would be only yours, wouldn't it?" He made a small pause and then stood straight up, crossing his arms. "Regards your so devious plan against the hive mind, it is flawed of multiple reasons. Number one. There is not enough time to rig the planet properly to gain the effect you want. Number two. There is not enough time to evacuate everyone until the Hive arrives. Number three. The Hive Mind never puts all creatures on one spot, they hunt for biomass. Without biomass in the Industrial sector they wouldn't even go there. Number four. The explosion would weak them as much as it would you if you trip. Number five. They still would have the capability to follow you through the warp and know exactly where you go and bring havoc upon the world you seek refuge in. It is like carrying the pest. Once in the eye of the Hive Mind, you never disappear from it until you destroy the Tyranid fleet." The Astartes remained calm, but there was a sound of annoyance in his voice growing. This all was a waste of time if not soon the population out there or one of the other important personnel in here would make a decision to support either party.
KAIRETH 1 - planet surface. The imperial citizens looks around not certain what to do. Most of them agree with the astartes. But say the same time dosen't anyone want to stand in the way of the tyranids. The governour sighes "Fine... Astartes. You have a valid point. Though there is something I want to show you." The governour stands and walks towards a door on the side. He looks completely calm.
"Do not attempt tricks." He simply warned the Governor, following him. "And better hurry, for we have a sub-sector to save."
Arani turned towards the young apprentice, barely containing her rage, and was impressed. For someone with little experience with her own powers, an outburst like that should have shown some form of psychic manifestation, but it appeared she had subconscious control of her own already formidable power. His voice turned temporarily back to its normal volume. "Well spoken Yriel, Lykus chose his apprentice well I see. Come, the Governor has agreed to our Lord's plan, we must arm these ignorant peasants for the upcoming battle."
KAIRETH 1 - Governors palace They walk into a large room, very delicatly decorated with gold and polished granite. A fair amount of pedistals are placed around the room, clearly intended for his collection. In the far end is a large, almost Throne like chair. But as the astartes would walk trough the door a crackle would be heard. Energy from two Orbs on each side of the door crackle and sends energy towards the sorcerer. The governor chuckles "I knew something smelled fishy here. You are a chaos sorcerer. I have put up detectors in this room. In case any sorcerer would be interested in my collection." At the same time, multiple bolter turrets comes down from the Roof, aiming down at the sorcerer.
