The influence of Chaos is strong. The imbalance between factions.

I'm curious as to why not Grig, it's not like the fact Blackbolt was an unfair map is some dark secret in the community and despite your claims of 80% of the people being on the same side(That being Any Player.) it's the WH40k community, a community that will gimp itself just for color coordination...which I actually think is awesome, to many players style is all important and they have a 'faction loyalty'.

Even before EA Chaos just seemed to be more organized outside of PG matches, and to me it's not really a mystery. Weeks of putting up with an unbalanced map combined with increasingly functional Vox and Squad systems manifested itself in a smaller more veteran community.

During the Closed Alpha, I spent more time in the SMC side as SM.
Sorry, but i can't take point with my GA (SM) ... and that makes a big difference.

this is only chaos ptopaganda. a large part of chaos victory in EA is the result of loyalist guild playin as chaos, ork guild playing as chaos.

Oh really? How many guilds do you see on the recruitment forums that are "I only want to play X legion and am just biding my time until." or "I only play Chaos/Loyalist and am not interested in anything else." hell my entire guild is practically formed of people who exclusively play Chaos myself included. Some of us would switch to a different Legion if game mechanics were really bad but people like me would play their favorite legion even with the most barebones support imaginable.

It's not surprising to anyone I think that people are overzealous about their favorite faction/race in 40k and that plenty of people are only interested in this game because that faction either is here or a possibility in the future. Even if it's just a skin, people will relentlessly play that character model cause it's what they like and it makes them feel good.

It's not a new observation by any stretch of the imagination, people have pointed out countless times how much just the visuals of the game matter to them, how much they want to feel like a (Chaos)Space Marine, and I doubt it's going away anytime soon.

Well yes that kind of proves my point though. Guilds like VM and PG are trying to all get in the same match during a time where multiple matches are happening, often they succeed(After immense frustration.) and start wrecking shit for that match, but the reason they do that is because Chaos didn't get more EA users to begin with and is less diluted. As a result you have veteran Alpha Testers on Chaos going up against people who wipe out half their own squad with inaccurate plasma cannon shots on Loyalist.

    The results are predictable.
  5. Wait, again I'm new so apologies for this exclamation, but Chaos's GA can cap points too? They have two units that can capture points? I'm a little more forgiving of the fact that chaos has ranged healers since apoths trade it for quicker and automated sort of healing that gives healing buffs, but I find myself in more situations getting stomped by a beefier nurgle GA and wondered how the point I was defending got quickly taken. That's interesting.

Knowing this now, why does it make me feel like that this has a huge contributing factor to how chaos seems to more efficiently secure points down?

Yeah, that I will say is a more noticeable advantage...i'd struggle to call the Sorcerers heal beam as a major advantage or even a minor one because of how slow it goes.

Course, MoN are also bugged right now so that a single kick will completely stunlock them to the point you can easily knife them to death, so make of that what you will.

all class get stunlocked by the kick.

  8. Yeah, I actually like the power struggle between their healer counterparts. Chaos sorcerers have this melty beam that does acid damage, and it keeps competent (although they seem to be rare since majority of them dont even know they can use f to instantly revive somebody and can often bypass risky situations not many would take in order to help somebody out) apothecaries on their toes making sure they're sticking their needles regularly.

I probably should voice my intent desire for the developers to also allow SM GA's to be able to capture points. where can I do this?
  9. Sigvald Darthy Curator

Well yes, but much like the shieldbro the MoN are an all melee class. Meaning you can completely cripple them so long as you're competent, their only alternative is to try and pistol you.

Unlike the patch they were introduced, if you get an entire squad massacred by a single MoN that's more on the squad then how OP the class is, as stands their real issue is the returns on life leech with fast attack weapons being too high which is frustrating...but not game breaking.

I think the biggest imbalance at the moment is that chaos have 2 capping units, while you can counter melee with a tac marine it's harder so if you solo cap a point to misdirect opponents if there aren't clear lines of sight you're boned and the melee unit can disrupt the cap when you're dead.
