Hey, they could always put it up on Origin instead of steam. :D

Heh, such assumption is both funny and horrid

Steambox is confirmed, but it doesn't have exclusives to itself. It's libraries will be the steam library and it will likely use m/k

I am almost entirely sure you must pay a fine to even be listed in the directory, let alone have them host lots of downloads.

I don't know Guild Wars 2 managed to survive when it's player base started to fall.
You could always just see how it goes for the first year, then put it on Steam afterwards.

If this was on Steam i would imagine the strongest influx of players would be from the Steam Summer or Winter sale.

I agree that EC should look into the Steam option just for marketing and advertisement purposes, it would bring a bigger population into the game that is for sure but I totally disagree with your comment about games dieing because they were not on Steam. Games die because they are/were shit, plain and simple, it does not matter if they were on Steam or not.

This game needs to be good, actually it needs to be brilliant, it will not matter if it is on Steam, Origin and Windows Live if it is crap, it will still fail, they will however gain more sales initially.

This game will not be easy to make, the 40k universe is huge and it is a long time running IP. It has the staunchest fans and the most hardcore followers (myself included) if the DEVS stray to far away from the fluff etc they will have a mass back lash and people will leave.

I have faith in the DEVS though, I dunno what it is about this team of DEVS but I feel that they really know the 40k universe and really have a passion to make this game great and to stay true to the 40k lore. I really cannot wait for this game so I wish the DEV team the best. So far I have been very impressed with their open communication to the community and I hope it continues.

    BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!

steam has a lot of nice features, but im not a fan of it. its buggy as hell and volatile as well, somedays some of my games work and sometimes nothing works, not even steam itself. id prefer a working game over steam though.

Really does not make sense because of the F2p aspect. Unless they would get the same access as the people who brought the game. But still would be pointless
